eauty teams, I generally knew what I wanted but was having a hard time finding a team I could trust to execute until I found the Keylook. From my first call with Keziah, I knew we were a great fit! Keziah is fun and personable, but also incredibly professional all the way through the process. She was always in communication on anything I needed to know and things to do as my wedding day got closer, and was always flexible to answer any questions or concerns. I wasn't able to do a hair and makeup trial so naturally, I was a little nervous. But come wedding day, Keziah and Jenever were ON IT! Jenever worked effortlessly on my hair and it came out EXACTLY how I imagined. Keziah made sure that she had my makeup inspo right and asked me a few clarifying questions to make sure she knew what look I was going for before we started, which put me at ease because I could tell her exactly what I wanted. She also allowed me to check my makeup to make sure I liked the direction we were going in. I even remember telling her how I like my eyebrows 'kind of glam but not too glam', worried that I didn't make any sense, and she gave me the perfect eyebrows! We also had so much fun while getting ready and I truly cherish the memories I made with them and my girls that morning. I absolutely LOVED my makeup and my husband did too! Not to mention - it lasted allll night (my wedding ended at 12am). I am so so grateful to them that I can look back on my wedding photos and be in love with the look they gave me. I'm a type of person who seeks a lot of information, needs details clarified and appreciates transparency, as the sole person planning the wedding. She was there for everything I needed. I appreciate the amount of options that The Key Looks has for both make-up and hair. The thing that stood out to me the most is that they can manage multiple hair textures and provide so many options for what you can do with each hair type. I ended up opting for a wig-install, and Keziah and Jenever helped me see what type of hair to get and took the example hair styles I shared to heart. My bridal hair trial went sooo well, it was the first time the wedding started to feel more real. She also did my cousin's hair, styling her natural hair into a gorgeous updo. Given my dress was an A-list strapless, timeless look and the vibe of the wedding was summer timeless/boho, I wanted a hairstyle that would also be timeless but also summery, beach and classy. The stair stayed in place the whole night, I was so impressed. They really made me feel like a princess on my special day, I couldn't recommend going with them enough – well worth the price for your crown to be in great hands!

ssibly the best decision I made for my wedding. Our three artists for our queer, multiracial wedding were EVERYTHING. I cannot say enough about Alisha, Ebone and Rossy. They were PHENOMENAL on all of our skintones and hair textures and their spirit…you can’t buy that. We felt like we were spending the wedding morning with our long lost besties. But Alisha…whew…let me tell you. She’s not just a brilliant hair and makeup artist. She has a calming presence like no other. She was there to do my touch ups through all my tears and even ran after my escaping dog at one point. It was a top priority for us to have black-owned businesses as our vendors. But what we didn’t realize is that we would be hiring the most professional, the most inclusive, the most fun, and the most TALENTED squad around. Give them all your money. They deserve every penny!

Keziah is a beautiful person whose company embodies inclusivity, luxury, and quality. She helped me in the morning to coordinate with the venue staff and other vendors. The trial in NJ. was further confirmation of how talented these ladies are. I felt gorgeous in my gold and crystal crown with loose curls (thank you, Jenever!) and Rossy who I knew would be PERFECT for doing my makeup made me feel STUNNING!! She really knew how to bring out the yellow undertones in my skin and highlight my best features. Mobina, the third member of our team, helped Rossy with completing the makeup looks for the rest of my bridal party (bridesmaids, mom, and flower girl) and all of their looks turned out absolutely beautiful during at the end of our getting ready session. These three ladies were so sweet and hardworking the entire day and I couldn’t be more pleased. The Key Look team are truly pros!!! Keziah, who stopped by during our getting ready session, Jenever, and Rossy waited downstairs in the lobby of our hotel to cheer me on right before my bridesmaids, wedding planner, and I walked across the street to my wedding. The fact that they cared enough to see the final look and make me feel beautiful just before I walked into the church to marry the love of my life meant the world to me. Will I use this vendor again? Yes, but I never want to see the stylist from my trial ever again.

I looked radiant and bridal with a look that I actually wanted. Something I didn't get from the first trial. And also had Keziahs patience and ability to answer my many questions and no '72 hour booking deadline', which I didn't have with my second makeup trial group. The Key Look was able to accommodate my bridal party of 7, my mother, aunt, and my grandmother. We all had hair and makeup done and they got us done ahead of schedule! This is an amazing task but that also includes them getting on the floor and helping my overwhelmed and not always cooperative special needs sister. They didn't hesitate to make my sister feel comfortable and do her hair and makeup on the floor which I'm sure isn't comfortable nor convenient for them. We all had different hair types too. from incredibly thick short curls to long long straight mermaid hair, thin as paper tight curly hair, to my grandmother short fro they didn't have a problem making us all look amazing. I would also recommend booking them for touch ups until after your ceremony and majority of your pictures are done. We did this and I looked flawless continuously thanks to their keen eyes and quick touch ups of lips, curls, and to remove any sweat on my face. Definitely needed for sweaty summer weddings. All of her staff were incredibly professional but also fun to be around. They gave us all individual looks and not one cookie cutter look. They were also helpful in pointing out what makeup might not actually work or accentuate what we may have. I personally think that was helpful. I really can't recommend these ladies enough.
