nes as the background. The first time we went to Big Cork was on an invite from the event coordinator, after we inquired about our wedding being hosted at the venue. The event coordinator toured us around the venue and the house on the property and served us a complimentary lunch. Within minutes of our visit we knew we wanted Big Cork to be the place where we said I do. We booked our wedding date more than a year in advance but even with early planning, we had a few hiccups along the way. The first was that the original event coordinator, who we toured with and signed the contract with, left Big Cork and a new coordinator was put in place – the problem was that all of this happened and we were not made aware of the change until weeks later after emails were not getting returned. Along with a change in the event coordinator, Big Cork also decided to not offer catering services anymore. This was a huge blow for us because having a venue that also could provide catering was one of the things that we had looked for when searching for a venue. Our original contract with Big Cork was only for the venue, and we were told early on that we would do a separate contract for the catering, but we never got to that point since they removed that service option entirely. Ultimately, going outside for our caterer worked out for the best, but at the time it felt like a huge blow. After getting through the initial event coordinator change, we started working with the current coordinators, Amy and Tina. There were a few instances of misunderstandings in what we had signed in our original contract and what they were now offering for weddings, but ultimately we had everything in writing showing what we booked, so it all worked out and Tina and Amy honored our original contract. As our wedding day got closer, Tina worked incredibly close with us to make sure everything turned out perfect. She was very responsive and met with us whenever we requested and answered all of our little questions. On the actual wedding day, she got all of the other vendors coordinated and into place and it turned out beautifully. She went above and beyond to really make it a seamless process on the wedding day and that is what really mattered. Initially, we felt that Big Cork was going through some growing pains in the first two years of operation. Now they seem to be in a great stride and Tina and Amy are really making everything come together. We loved the atmosphere created at our wedding and with such a beautiful backdrop, you cannot go wrong booking Big Cork. Plus, the wine is amazing!
