Jim from “Big Fish” could not have done a better job at our wedding. He not only did a great job with the music, but also really choreographed the entire night. OH, and i can’t forget that he did a great job officiating our ceremony. Absolute perfection. 100% recommend.

We can’t say enough good things about DJ James Traut! From start to finish, he was an absolute professional and a true master at what he does. Planning with James was a breeze — he was responsive, organized, and genuinely cared about getting every detail just right for our big day.
When it came to the music, James absolutely nailed it. The playlist was the perfect mix of our requests, crowd favorites, and songs we didn’t even know we needed to hear until he played them! The dance floor was packed from the first song to the last — guests of all ages were out there having the time of their lives.
James also did a fantastic job as an MC, keeping the night flowing smoothly and making sure every transition — from dinner to toasts to dancing — felt effortless. His sound and lighting setup elevated the whole atmosphere and gave the reception that extra touch of magic.

When we went into wedding planning, one of the most important things to me was having good music and a packed dance floor. I couldn't be happier that we went with Jim with Big Fish Music Productions! Working with Jim was amazing from start to finish! Not only did he curate the PERFECT reception vibe, he also did all the music for our ceremony, which went off beautifully. Jim is truly the best DJ in the wedding business. He is so fun and went along with all of our crazy ideas. Including a special surprise for my husband where he played the CBS Sunday Night Football theme right before I walked down the aisle. It broke the tension and made everyone (including myself and my husband laugh). We have been told by most of our guests that it was the most fun wedding they’ve ever been to, and had the dance floor bopping the entire night. Especially when we threw our wedding T-shirts! Jim helped us throw the party of the year and we truly can’t thank him enough. There is a reason he has 5 stars with more than 150 reviews! Book him for your wedding! You won’t regret it!

Working with James was nothing short of an amazing experience to say the least! From the moment we booked our date, he was easy to reach, quick to respond and always helpful!
Leading up to the event, we had a few calls with James to go over details and there was nothing, NOTHING, that wasn't covered. His professionalism and clear joy for what he does was easy to notice. Everything from background music prior to the ceremony all the way through the end of the night was covered. Hie notes were meticulous and everything we discussed came to fruition.
Was shocked us most, was James' ability to pivot. Because little did we know, a surprise bag pipe performance had been scheduled for the middle of the wedding without our knowledge! James rolled with this beautifully and was a rockstar in getting them the floor.
We would recommend Big Fish (and James) to anyone! We had such an amazing night and he played a huge role in that. And we cannot forgot about Tom, the photo booth assistant who helped capture our night and make it even more special! 100% recommend the photo booth as well, seeing as how this operation crushed it and had such fun favors!!!!!

We could not imagine our wedding day without Big Fish Music Productions! James was the DJ for my sister’s wedding in 2017 and I knew we would be seeing him again whenever I got married! This was such a priority that be finalizing our wedding date, we made sure James was available! James is the best in the business! His experience and love for his craft is evident by the way he can read the crowd, attend to every small detail, and create a personalized memorable experience for everyone. He knows how to keep everyone engaged and made sure the night ran smoothly from start to finish. It was the most amazing feeling to just enjoy our reception with trust that James would take care of everything and I mean everything. James makes it clear that the Bride and Groom are his top priority. I felt like he was just as excited for our wedding as we were!
He has mastered the timeline and playlist to keep our wide age range of guests involved. James made our wedding everything we could have ever dreamed of and more!
We gave him creative freedom to select our bridal party entrance songs, and he absolutely nailed it! Selecting the right company to be our DJ made our wedding day so perfect and stress free.
We received so many compliments for Big Fish! The dance floor was the heart of the celebration the whole evening and James included so many personal touches. He brought every vision to life in an intentional way and was enthusiastic about creating the best experience for everyone.
We also had a photobooth! Everyone got to take a photo strip and they printed an extra copy for us to take home in a keepsake book. It was so much fun to see the different combinations of people who to pics and we loved reliving those moments right away. Highly recommend this addition! It is great that they set up together and you have one less person to communicate with. Again, hiring Big Fish, everything is taken care of.
Communication is key when planning such a significant event and James excelled with this. He was great at letting everyone know when important moments were happening, ensuring that key family members and friends were present for those special times. Whether it was our first dance or the speeches, James made sure no one missed a beat. He seamlessly found those people to give them the heads up a couple songs before so they couple prepare.
We organized a flash mob dance, a t-shirt toss, and a surprise mother-of-the-bride dance that only James, my husband, and I knew about. It was incredible to see the surprise and joy on everyone’s faces when these moments unfolded. James’s professionalism and creativity made all of these ideas come to life perfectly.
The dance floor was filled with laughter, joy, and lifelong memories, all thanks to James’s exceptional skill in reading the room and genuine love for his work. We never had to worry about setup or timing because we knew he had it all under control. this allowed us to enjoy our day fully. We will forever cherish the moments spent dancing with friends and family at our wedding and that is a testament to James’s talent.

Jim is so down to earth and easy to work with from day 1. He made sure that all of the details were in place for us for both ceremony and reception music and did not disappoint. He was one of the vendors who we were truly able to trust with our big day and we were able to just relax and enjoy it! Our reception ran SO smoothly thanks to his skills getting the attention of our guests and he thought of the small details to make sure they were engaged. He even actively worked well with our photographer and venue coordinator to coordinate throughout the night! Overall, I would say Jim is one of the reasons we had such a perfect day!

We couldn't be happier with the incredible job done by Jim at our wedding! From start to finish, he was helpful in answering questions, had great recommendations, and was happy to accommodate any special requests including a special round of music trivia during dinner! He read the room perfectly and our guests didn't stop dancing all night!
On top of that, the photobooth run by his wife Andrea was an absolute hit! Our guests had a great time posing with props and receiving the guestbook with all the prints was such a fun way to reminisce the next day.
Jim and Andrea were both so professional, friendly, and easy to work with. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a DJ and photobooth for their wedding.

Big Fish DJ'ed a family member's wedding in 2019, and the family has spoken for years about how great that reception was. When it was our turn to find a DJ, Big Fish was an easy choice. We really loved working with Jim, and choosing to do so was one of the best and easiest choices during the wedding planning process.
Jim's communication leading up to the wedding was great, and his set-up process on our wedding day was super smooth. He did an awesome job emceeing during the reception, and incorporated all of our song requests including Polish music. We appreciated the way he handled requests from guests and the fact that he kept the dance floor full for 4.5 hours. We cannot recommend him strongly enough and would work with him again in a heartbeat!

We booked Big Fish Music Productions LLC seven years ago for our wedding, so when my sister got engaged last year, we immediately gave her their contact information! She said it was the easiest wedding planning decision she had to make, because she remembered the fun and energetic atmosphere he created at our wedding!
My sister’s wedding was this past weekend and James surpassed our expectations! He really can get the guests involved and hyped and he complements the couples’ personalities with his set list. I especially thought it was a nice personal touch that he made it a point to notify us when certain songs were going to be played since he knew they were important to us and did not want us to miss it! Plus, the guests kept raving about the ease of the photo booth setup and how fun it was! We cannot say enough good things about him! I 100% would recommend Big Fish Music Productions LLC for your wedding or any party/event!

We would recommend working with Jim for your DJ and Photobooth needs. We booked him and his wife for our September 2023 wedding for about 90 people. When researching DJs, many went right into sales pitches and aggressively pursued our business. It bogged down the conversations and made researching DJs take much longer. Talking with Jim was refreshing – we asked him direct questions and he gave direct answers. It was easy to feel his personality over the phone – he has a very casual vibe and keeps calm.
We were stressed because we had only booked him a few weeks out as we were planning the wedding under a time crunch. He was patient and very open to us selecting each and every hour of our songs. We were very particular about the music reflecting us, and it was important that each song was particularly selected. Due to our diverse guest list, we had a unique mix of American pop, soul, funk, swing, EDM, salsa, bachata, Serbian folk music, and an Irish jig just for fun. Jim was able to quickly accommodate our date, specific requests, and make it all happen for us. Our initial ceremony site did not have electricity, but Jim was able to bring a quiet generator to power his equipment (we ended up moving to a site with electricity due to rain). We only wish we had had more time to go through the details. For example, my husband’s procession song was cut off right before the end of the song, and some of the versions of the songs we wanted were not the right version. In fairness, we only provided this document 36 hours before the ceremony, and there were a lot of nonstandard songs and specific requests. Overall, Jim did a great job mixing between the different styles of music we had selected and emceeing so we had different groups on the dance floor at all times.
Additionally, his wife worked the photo booth. We did this as a last minute add on, and we’re so grateful we did! We love photobooths and love that we got a copy of the photos from our guests. She was flexible when we had to move the location of the photobooth due to our venue's lack of communication, which included troubleshooting how the props and signing book would set up. We liked that the photobooth was enclosed and had a backdrop too.
It was a good experience overall and we are glad we went with Big Fish!

Jim was fantastic. Super easy going, and yet was still on point with the work flow of the entire day. Sound system was adequate for the space and he even facilitated a few last minute add ons for our wedding reception. Great guy, easy to talk to and highly reliable. Big Fish Music was a HUGE hit at our wedding! Jim did such an amazing job of working with my husband and I to create the ultimate wedding playlist and our dream reception. Through cocktail hour, introductions, dinner, and dancing, Jim did a great job of matching the energy of our guests. The dance floor was filled the whole night! Picking a DJ was one of my top stressors during the wedding planning process because a DJ can make or break a wedding. James by far made our wedding and exceeded our expectations. If you are looking for the most perfect DJ and photo booth for your wedding, stop looking and hire Big Fish!! I don’t have enough great things to say. James knows how to get a party started and how to keep everyone out on the dance floor! He was our most trusted vendor and became a good friend throughout the process. James is a great communicator and cares about the individual needs of his couples. He is 100% devoted and will go above and beyond to make sure your wedding is just how you pictured it. You can sincerely tell that this is his passion and it carries over to the whole vibe of the wedding day. I highly recommend adding the photo booth to your package as well. Jame’s wife, Andee, is so sweet and all my guest had fun with her and enjoyed making a photobooth album which Big Fish generously provides for your memories. One of the best decisions we made was hiring Big Fish Music Productions for our wedding! We had been guests to a couple of weddings where Jim DJ'd and each one was an absolute blast! When we started planning our wedding, I knew who I wanted to reach out to!
Jim helped make our ceremony and reception everything we had hoped for. He knew how to keep the party going and there was never a dull moment! We also booked his photobooth and I'm so glad we did! Working with Big Fish for my daughters New Year's Eve wedding was amazing. He took our 'Newlywed Game' idea and ran with it. His suggestions for songs during dinner were great. DJ Big Fish brought an unprecedented level of energy to the dance floor.
We requested no oldies, line dances, etc and asked for our dance floor to feel like a club and play very contemporary, upbeat, dance music, as well as some 2000-2010s hits - a tough set! DJ Big Fish delivered. Our friends LOVED it. It was exactly everything we could have hoped for!
He also was able to provide sound for our ceremony. We used the photo booth as our guest book, and we loved the props they provided.
In addition to all of the above, DJ Big Fish was excellent at communicating and was so easy to work with when we had to postpone our 2020 wedding to 2021. We cannot recommend him highly enough!

Christian and I cannot thank you enough! James was so reasonable and the best to accommodate us in any need we had!! Getting married during a pandemic, needing to postpone our big wedding reception & then needing to change the date once again last minute due to original venue getting closed down. He was great and understanding throughout this whole wedding process and we honestly couldn’t ask for a better DJ! We want to have another wedding just to have you as the DJ again even though we are over the wedding planning so maybe we will settle for a baby shower dj instead ! 🤪 we love u big fish you made our night even more special. & a huge shoutout to the photobooth you did absolutely amazing!!!

James was by far the best vendor that we worked with for our wedding. By rescheduling our event a year later, bringing an amazing photobooth, projecting the video of our ceremony from last year, and helping us plan the musical experience for the evening. We've had multiple guests come and tell us the event was the most fun they've had all year, and one of the most fun weddings they've attended. James was very communicative over email, facetime, and text before and day of the event. Helping us plan and choose which were our favorite songs and what we wanted our first dance to be. 10/10 would recommend that this be the DJ for your next event, definitely worth every penny.

We highly recommend DJ Big Fish! Jim and his wife went above and beyond what we expected in every way. Jim did an incredible job of getting people on the dance floor and creating an amazing energy at our wedding. Jim also did an excellent job of facilitating introductions, making sure dinner and speeches ran smoothly, and interacting with guests. Jim met with us several times before the big day, and made sure to go over every detail and tailor our experience to exactly what we envisioned. We opted to do the photo booth as well, and it was a hit with our guests! We can't thank Jim and Andrea enough for being the perfect addition to our special day.

My wife and I had an incredible wedding day, we were beyond satisfied with every single vendor we used. In saying that, there isn’t one of them that we would recommend more than Big Fish. James’ kindness makes it feel like you’ve known him for years, making him easy to trust with such an important day. Big Fish will ensure your day goes as best as it possibly can, from keeping everything within your time frame, to checking in with you before playing any random song requests. They’ll bring the energy and keep it going until the very end of the event. My wife and I will always recommend them to anyone we can!

If I could give Big Fish 1000 million stars I would. The process start to finish was seamless, easy, fun and I wish I could throw another event just so I can use Jim as our DJ. He is on top of things during your day so you can enjoy without worrying. He is easy going, adaptable to any situation and was one of the parts of preparing our backyard wedding we didn’t have to stress out over. He’s easy to get in contact with, responds quickly and didn’t flinch at any questions or requests we threw at him. His music kept the party going. If I could pick any vendor to hire he is your guy.
