Big Girls Events & Catering

One of the best vendors hired for our daughters wedding. From the tasting to the actual event, kudos to them. We wanted to host an afternoon tea and had specific needs for our guests. Vegan options were important and they customize your menu to exactly what you want. The baker that they partner with, met us during the tasting and the cakes provided were perfect. It rained on the day of and bugs, mud and all that goes along with that was present. Vita and crew were outstanding and personable. Cannot say enough about the warmth and comfort they provided. They made our event a success and everyone agreed that their food was sublime and the presentation was beyond anything I expected. I would hire them again without hesitation.

The team at Big Girls Catering is so great! I hired them as the caterer for my wedding this past November, and I could not be happier that I did! Their food is absolutely out of this world, and their team is extremely helpful, personable, and kind. We did a tasting before, and they worked with us to create the perfect menu! At the wedding, their whole team did everything to make sure that me, my husband, and all of our guests were happy and well-fed. As a family-owned and operated business, you can tell how much love and energy goes into what they do. I highly recommend them!!

Let me start off by saying the servers and bar tenders were amazing! They provided excellent service, and we could not have been happier with them. We did however have an issue when it came to the entrees. We paid for 125 people (entrees of steak and salmon). We only ended up with 115 guests. Our entire last table of 9 people did not receive any meat or fish. Our meal was set up as a buffet line, but all food was served by the Catering staff, including a Carver for the meat. So, essentially we were short entrees for 19 people. I cannot imagine what would have happened if we had all 125 guests show up plus some that didn’t RSVP (as this can happen frequently). I was so disappointed in this. I was even more disappointed that Big Girls did not tell us this happened. We found out about this a couple of weeks after the wedding from our guests and the venue. I can understand the catering staff not wanting to bother us with issues the night of our wedding, but an email should have been sent out the next business day. I had to call them about the insufficient amount of entrees. Big Girls did provide a refund for the entree portion for the 9 guests; however, it is still embarrassing to not have enough food for all the guests who attended our wedding.

The food was top notch, the staff was helpful, but most importantly, working with Vita was amazing. She treated us like royalty. She was always organized, remembered every detail I ever mentioned & delivered everything she said she would. Our guests are still raving about the mashed potatoes & chicken & waffle sliders!

I don’t think there was a single person that my husband and I talked to on our wedding day that didn’t make some sort of comment at how amazing our food tasted. The bartenders were courteous and mixed our drinks well, the food stayed plentiful, my husband and I had plates made and waiting for us upon sitting down to eat. Vita is so sweet and will do everything to make sure your day goes perfectly!

This is one of the most legitimate, friendly, and personable catering companies! When we came to them with some of our favorite foods, they had no problem customizing to what we were interested in! But we didn't have to ask for much, because their food is just creative and out of this world! Not only was the tasting amazing, getting to know some of the staff was just as much of a blessing. They are so wonderful and we just love them! They were so attentive to us and had our drink orders ready for when we were done, our personalized meals, and a to-go box for us when we left for the hotel before we flew out for our honeymoon. (We devoured it at the hotel) I cannot say enough about them!

Amazing food! So easy to work with! Vita is a dream! So helpful, caring and attentive. Seamless, easy stress free caterer to work with. They truly care about providing the best experience for their client and really personalize the experience! And did I mention the food is AMAZING! Thank you for all the LITTLE things that made a BIG difference!

Just got married on October 6th and Big Girls Events catered both my rehearsal dinner, and wedding! They were friendly, accommodating, and just so helpful during the entire experience! The food was so DELICIOUS and my guest all had positive reviews! Great southern food! While my new husband and I were busy taking photos they made sure we had food packed aside and kept the refreshments coming, regardless where we were on the property! Can’t say enough good things!

My husband and I got married on September 28,2018 and Big Girls catered. I can’t have any dairy and they made food that I could eat!!! Everything was so delicious and I am so glad we used them!!!!

Big girls did such a great job on our wedding! All of our guests said the food was delicious. Like others said, they were such a pleasure to work with and we would for sure use them again if we had another event to throw. I would recommend them to anybody because they made the planning process easy and they were such enjoyable people to work with.

Big Girls catered my wedding and did an amazing job! So many guests commented on how great the food was, and they were so pleasant to work with through the whole process! They were always quick to answer my many questions and dealt directly with the venue to plan for a seamless event. I would recommend them to anyone that wants to surround themselves with positive people that will do a great job!

Wow! Had a tasting with them yesterday and thought the food was awesome, but I don't get out much. So... I took some home to my husband who has brought me a spoon from nearly every state in our country. Every single bite had him saying, "This is really good." If he thinks food is good, it's awesome! So excited to have found them!!!

Big girls catering was the Big epic FAIL at my wedding!!!! They made me and my family look ridiculous when guest stood around for the appetizer hour and there were NO appetizers!!! They forgot all about them! Then they didn't refund us the full amount we paid for the appetizers and refused to refund us the money we paid for two additional servers to pass out the appetizers!!!! It was so kind of them to lie to my face saying they would refund us for their mistakes! Then the menu wasn't what we ordered. We paid for smoked quarter chickens and they gave us grilled chicken tenders. Then they were too dry to even eat!!! Then we had many not stay for dinner and they still ran out of food!!!! Rather than talking about a great reception I hear complaints about food! #ishouldhaveorderedpizza

these caterers were absolutely amazing! there food is delicious and very homey. they were amazing to work with and we became friends instantly!

From the beginning Big Girls Catering was great! They even brought the tasting to us and it was still hot. They put love in their food. All of the guest wanted to know who they were and raved about how good the food was. With the guest coming up to us and us greeting people we really didn't get to eat much. Many of the guest said it was Good Southern Cooking. Flavorful food and the sweet tea and lemondade was just right. I already have people calling asking for their info for their next event.

food was outstanding, still getting comments on the shrimp & grits and boubon chicken and mac & cheese. ladies were terrific to work with and thorough in the details and preparation. They assigned a personal waiter to my groom and I for the night so we got all the food and drinks brought to us as we handled the guests. Highly recommend this team!

Ami and Cindy "got" our wedding vision from the very first email. We wanted something unique and creative to go with our Carnival themed reception but it had to be delicious and filling for our guests (children through grandparents. They approached the menu with enthusiasm and excitement. One paper the menu sounded good but we could not have imagined how tasty it would actually be. They listened to our suggestions and brought their own to the table. They brought our vision to life and were so professional- the perfect combination of artists and businesswomen. Their love of food and family values is apparent in their work. My 98 year old grandma, who had been a real skeptic about our theme, ate more than any of us expected. I can not adequately express how thrilled we are to have found Big Girls Catering! LOVE them!!!

Ami and Cindy of Big Girls Catering were wonderful!!! They catered a dessert buffet for 100 people at my wedding. They had lots of desserts for me to choose from, and they were so helpful and so nice. They answered all of my crazy questions and even made lots of fun suggestions for things we could do with the desserts. I didn't get to eat many of the desserts that day, but what I did try was wonderful. These girls are awesome!! I would definitely recommend them to anyone!
