About this vendor
Big Guys Catering is a Berwyn, IL-based company offering catering services for weddings and events. This team is dedicated to creating an impeccable experience for couples. While they're best known for their dramatic grazing tables and family-style service, they can match your unique style. Big Guys Catering mainly serves clients throughout Chicago and the surrounding areas and is willing to travel throughout the midwest.
Chef Brendan O'Connor has worked in the wedding catering industry for 20 years. As the founder, he is the lead point of contact on every wedding account. Big Guys Catering began its journey in 2011 and has established itself as a leading catering team for large-scale events. Whether you envision Italian charcuterie, mouth-watering BBQ, or a more formal plated dinner celebrating French or Greek cuisine, they boast diverse expertise.
With quality over quantity at the heart of their mission, they typically manage four large events per month. You can expect to have their undivided attention on your big day. Beginning with an initial consultation, they'll begin curating a bespoke menu for your event, schedule a tasting, and prepare a contract. They're also available for a venue walk-through to fine-tune your timeline and presentation. Big Guys Catering does not have a standard pricing guide to share, as each event is approached with fresh eyes. Brendan and his team will work closely with you to meet your unique needs, taste, and your guests' dietary needs.

Hiring Brendan and his crew from Big Guys Catering was the best decision we could have made. Brendan worked with us to create a custom seasonal menu for a summer outdoor tented far...
mhouse wedding for 150 guests. The food was served family style and was fresh, skillfully made and had that rare quality of a satisfying home-cooked meal. Our guests still talk about the food as being the best wedding food they've had (especially the sweet corn cavatelli). Brendan was easy to work with throughout the process, has fair and honest prices, and my wife and I highly recommend them for your catering needs.
One of our fondest memories from our wedding is the amazing food and service from the Big Guys crew! My wife and I had a lot of different ideas for what we wanted to do. In all hon...
esty, it's safe to say that we were a bit high-maintenance. In spite of that, everyone was very friendly, understanding, and easy to work with. Most importantly, the food was an absolute home run. The phrase I remember hearing all day was "Congrats to you both! This food is delicious!" I highly recommend reaching out to them for any catered event.
We hired Brendan and Big Guy's Sausage Stand to cater our wedding and it was hands down the BEST decision we ever made. Do not let the "Sausage Stand" in the name fool you. These g...
uys provide a full blown top quality, full service, customizable catering experience. We had what seemed like an impossible vision: Korean BBQ, a charcuterie table, sliders and sausage sandwiches, pasta and salad, Mexican tacos, all served in various stations buffet style for 250 people on a fairly tight budget. Not only did Brendan make it happen, but he went above and beyond and blew our minds! Everything was displayed beautifully and executed flawlessly to the point that people probably assumed we had to pay way more than we actually did. Our guests are still telling us that it was the best wedding food they've ever had. Throughout the planning process, we never once felt like we had to worry about anything, because Brendan would take care of it. He handled everything from providing bartenders, to planning our signature drink, to figuring out the floor plan, to ordering plates and utensils, to somehow finding time to personally deliver a taste of each station in the bridal suite to make sure my Husband and I got to try everything. I could go on and on about how AMAZING our experience with Brendan and Big Guy's was, and it still wouldn't feel like I'm doing it justice. This is the biggest hidden gem in the Chicagoland area and if you are looking for a phenomenal, affordable, and trustworthy catering company for your wedding or special event, DO NOT hesitate to hire Big Guy's Sausage Stand. Forever thankful for bringing our wedding dreams to life!
Really great to work with and delicious food!
