Roy and Kyla were great. Our wedding ran extremely smoothly. Roy was always kind, and professional. Everything ran right on time. Definitely top notch people. His bbq was amazing. ...
We kept the leftover food and have been eating on it since the wedding. I have nothing but good things to say. The wood brand is such a unique attraction. Roy and his people definitely made us feel welcomed and our special day was definitely special. Roy does like to run on time, but that kept everything running. All our guests said they loved the food and venue. Definitely a unique place.
Looks like the asshole Roy is making his own reviews because nobody in their right mind would say anything nice about that garbage human being. Don't use this place I warn you
Perfect spot for a wedding !
Venue was fantastic and Roy delivered as planned
Hats off to this amazing venue ! Great food ! Great service! Thanks again Roy for the amazing job you did .
My daughter and son-in-law chose this venue for their wedding and reception. The owner was so rude and unprofessional. He ran the whole wedding and reception his way. He was like a...
drill sergeant. Before dinner the photographer was taking pictures. Dinner was to be served at 5ish. The photographer needed 5 more minutes to finish taking pictures and he yelled at her and told her she needed to stop because it was 5:00 and it was time to eat. When the groom's Dad inquired about heaters he got in his face and pushed him. He stated he needed $35 for heaters. We paid $35 for an outside heater that worked for 10 minutes. He helped himself to cake and reception treats. His bartender we had to pay for helped themselves to drinking the wine we provided. And we paid for 2 bartenders and only got one. Did we get reimbursed?? No. And the bartender wasn't there half the time. He ran around taking pictures all during the ceremony and reception ignoring the unplugged sign. He yelled at the groom's grandparents and parents. Yelled at all of the bridal party. The $17 per plate for their BBQ wasn't worth the $2 plate it was served on. You had to eat their food couldn't have a caterer. It was daughter and son-in-laws day and not only did he charge for everything little thing (including he made them get $1,000,000 worth of liability insurance. Yes you read that right 1 MILLION dollars) he was a complete controlling ass. It was their day ran his way. Very unprofessional.
Big Iron Town ended up giving us our dream wedding. The Owner, Roy is a very straight shooter but is extremely friendly and will do whatever it takes to give you a great wedding. A...
t the beginning of wedding planning (we booked our venue a year in advance- like most do) it was a little chaotic. We were dealing with the "wedding coordinator" Heather and she was very nice but also seemed very unorganized and very hard to get in contact with. At one point she had our date down wrong (after we had already signed a contract and done our invites) and had double booked a birthday party the day of our wedding. She asked me to consider moving our date, which upset me, but ended up moving the birthday party. Once our wedding got closer I started dealing with Roy and from then on out things went much smoother. The venue is absolutely beautiful, we did ferns up the isle to give the ceremony space some color and white drapes up around the stairs. Roy and his team were very on top of things when it came to helping make sure everyone was where they needed to be during the ceremony. Our kegs unfortunately gave us trouble during the reception but Roy did a great job of handling it and making sure (or at least trying) to not let me worry about it. You can tell Roy takes great pride in his business. He has built it from the ground up and has done a great job.
