Led by owner Joe Kerrigan, who handles all of the weddings. Joe's passion, creativity and organization are second to none in the industry. He is a consummate professional with a laid back style that is enthusiastic without being obtrusive. Joe employs a unique and personal, hands on approach with couples. He will help craft your specific sound for wedding day, assist with planning your timeline, help with important details and offer advice and suggestions if asked. Joe is more than a DJ when it comes to weddings, he also serves as a second wedding planner for you.

I'm not sure what happened between our first call with the DJ and the second. We really liked his vibe on the first call, but after that he was difficult to get in touch with and didn't return our calls. The day of the music was awesome--the playlist was perfect. But during the course of the event he didn't listen to our wedding coordinator when it was time for certain things--like cake cutting and we had to have the father of the bride intervene. He insulted our photographers--who were the sweetest people and did an amazing job. Just overall, I wasn't impressed with his professionalism.

Joe was absolutely awesome as our DJ for our wedding. From our initial discussions to the big day he was so knowledgeable about the songs we chose and the flow of the day. We provided him with our must plays and he played almost all of them, plus gave us suggestions too. Our dance floor was full the entire night and everyone had an amazing time. Thanks for making our wedding reception so amazing!

When we first came across Big Island Productions, we were impressed by his many positive reviews. He did not disappoint! It was clear from our first call that he has a lot of knowledge and experience in the industry. We gave him our song selections and do not play list and he gave us helpful feedback on our choices. The music was seamless throughout the night, our dance floor was always full, the sound was great, and we got lots of compliments from guests. Joe is the best!

Hiring Joe was one of the best decisions we made in wedding planning! He was so easy to work with and accommodating, especially with several last minute changes and requests. Joe had everyone out on the dance floor for most of the evening, and all our guests had a blast.

Joe was fantastic to work with! From the beginning Joe was very responsive and great to work with. We were also a 2020 wedding that was postponed twice. Through each postponement and scrambling to find new dates, Joe was responsive and very easy to work with. As we (finally) approached our big day, Joe did a great job of navigating us through what would work best for the celebration we wanted. He gave great advice and feedback and worked with our vision. Our guests had a great time thanks to Big Island Productions!

Joe was a great addition to our wedding day! He was very responsive from day one. He provided us with an organized list of what needed to be done in terms of music and provided input for our schedule of the day. He was patient with us throughout the entire process and even met with us prior to wedding day to review song choices and what we were looking for. The dance floor was non-stop and he made sure everyone was having fun!

Joe was the BEST!! From the beginning stages of planning up until the day of, he was communicative and even gave song suggestions when we were lost. With COVID we had a small wedding and he came to the venue with us and our coordinator to determine where a good set up would be a month before, on his own time without us asking him! The music flowed perfectly throughout the night and we were surprised at how many people were dancing. Everyone keeps raving about how great the music was and how it truly made the night. We were worried about the sound with our dances outside, but it was perfect. He played the songs we requested (even had songs that went perfectly with our type) and played the few my mom asked to be played. We highly recommend Joe!! Plus he was beyond reasonably priced!!

Joe did an awesome job from the first consultation until our wedding day. He was so patient with us, and gave us the time we needed to make all of our music decisions. He touched base multiple times leading up to the day which helped put my mind at ease. He made excellent suggestions for songs to be played during the ceremony and provided helpful information about timelines. The dance floor heated up SO early, and it was never empty once throughout the night. Joe is professional, personable, and super fun! Thank you so much Joe!

Joe is professional, courteous and incredibly thorough. He met with us, emailed with us several times and was consistently checking in to see if we needed anything. He helped the timeline of our reception run smoothly and played great music! His light set-up was perfect. I would highly recommend him for any of your DJ needs, you will be in great hands!
