I heard of Big Mic Productions through my sister as she attended a wedding where Mike was the DJ. 5 months before my own wedding, I was in need of a DJ and so I reached out. Mike was so easy to work with! He was very prompt and organized from the moment that I contacted him about his availability. Mike is easy-going and knows what he is doing! I was not worried for the flow of our wedding day at all due to his organization. On the wedding day, he was as easy-going in person as I had experienced through communication leading up-to. The set-up, ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception went so smoothly because of Mike! I would highly recommend him to DJ your wedding!

Mike was the most fantastic DJ and made our wedding and reception flow effortlessly. Mike is the best! He was the DJ at a friend's wedding a year ago and she raved how great and easy he was to work with. We hired him for our wedding and my friend was not lying. The entire planning process, communication, and day of was so incredibly simple and enjoyable. Mike replied quickly to emails, made sure the songs and intros were exactly how we envisioned it, and he was so attentive and had a great feel for the mood of the party. We LOVED having Mike DJ our wedding! He had a fantastic line of communication before and during our wedding, which we really appreciated. He was really helpful when we were creating our wedding timeline, and he provided helpful suggestions on how to make our day the best it could be! All of the music was spot on, and Mike’s announcements and cues were really helpful throughout the reception. Mike did an amazing job at our wedding ceremony and reception. He was spot on for exactly how I had envisioned the music lining up, it was difficult as a bride to sit back and trust that everything would be perfect and Mike surpassed all of my expectations. I made changes and asked for songs and he made it happen on the spot. I couldn't have expected more from a DJ, he was truly our director of entertainment. Dan did a great job! We had a lot of changes to the schedule the day of the event and he was able to accommodate them great! Very professional and always double checking to make sure it was the way we wanted things. I highly recommend them for any of your DJ needs :)

Every fantastic review is accurate - Mike was awesome. We had a vibe that he caught on to IMMEDIATELY and the dance floor was just perfect! He kept the party upbeat, fun, and handled all our unique requests perfectly. He was fun to work with and the price was great - trust me, I shopped around. DJ Mike was the absolute best we could have done for our wedding on 7/17. He took all of our requests seriously, helped guide us through the planning of the itinerary, and made sure we stayed on schedule as the evening got away from us. This is the second time I’ve hired Mike to DJ a friends wedding! He is seriously the best from initial contact all the way to packing up and leaving the wedding venue. He was helpful in all avenues- from a bubble machine, micing an unprepared officiant (me 😅), offering amazing pre wedding tips, and keeping the party going. He plays fun music that everyone knows and he is happy to play the music requested by the bride that nobody knows haha. He offers wedding timeline structure and his music worksheet kept everything organized and was so easy to use! Worked like a dream! With this being my second time working with Mike as a overly involved Maid of Honor, I can say that the bride that followed his direction had a smoother ceremony and reception with better flow. I will recommend Mike to everyone I know!

Mike was an all around awesome DJ! His music selection was perfect, he kept the party going the entire time! He was great about giving good advice on how he thought things would flow better(which took a lot of stress off of us!). We had the perfect day and Mike made it even better! I cannot say enough good things about Mike. From the beginning he was very organized, and contacting him was very easy. My husband and I had actually seen him at a friends wedding, and through an event I volunteer at every year. When we got engaged we immediately contacted him to dj our wedding. He kept our reception on time for first dances, cake cutting and speeches/ toasts. He also made suggestions to keep our reception flowing smoothly. He kept our guests on the dance floor the entire night and any songs we requested during the reception he played them the very next song. Mike is very budget friendly. We hired Dan as our wedding DJ, and he was phenomenal! He helped make sure we stayed on track with time, and played great music all night! He even checked in with us before playing any risky music our friends requested, just to be sure we were fine with it! I highly recommend him!!

Anybody who is looking for a DJ in Ohio should look at booking Mike. I have yet to find a DJ at a wedding that gets EVERY person to participate- but Mike did just that. The prep is very detailed and takes so much pressure off of the wedding day. He goes above and beyond and is very open to change so that the day goes just how you pictured! He is way under priced for the quality you get! Definitely a 10/10!

Mike exceeded our expectations as the DJ for our wedding! As most people do, I rely heavily on reviews to find vendors/products that I'm looking for. And he had nothing but wonderful things in his which is why we contacted him. But I was SOLD after chatting with him, and him telling me that it was his job to make sure everything ran smoothly on the wedding day, and it was my job to have fun. Music to my ears, literally. He has a ton of experience with weddings, and he really did go above and beyond the call of DJ duties! Communication with him was always prompt and easy, he was one of the only things I never was concerned about for the wedding! He was confident and organized. Mike made it so easy for us with the planning, he was thorough and meticulous. He was on top of everything. He sent us a worksheet to fill out before the wedding (which he was super patient waiting for us to send it to him haha), detailing which songs we wanted when, etc. But what really impressed me was that he was so helpful with suggestions on not only what songs we could use, but even for the order of events and other aspects of the day. And he reassured us that we could be as involved as much or as little as we wanted to! He has a lot of wedding experience, and he expressed that we shouldn't feel pressured to pick out every single song and we trusted him. He went above and beyond to make sure the day went exactly how we wanted it to. And he delivered! From set up, to ceremony, to dinner, to reception.. he was so hands-on and involved in every process. He really blew us away by not only being such a fun and entertaining DJ - but also such a great support person at the wedding in general! Our dance floor was always full, and all our guests had great things to say about him. I could not have been happier with his services & if you are looking for a wedding DJ look no further!! Mike was the best DJ! Our wedding dance floor was packed from the first song til the very last song of the night. He did a great job of reading the room for what songs to play and making sure everyone was having fun. When he met with us he listened to what we wanted, did intro songs for each person of our very large bridal party and found and played every song we requested. The highlight for us was when he was throwing glow sticks we brought into the crowd. Mike was very organized with his worksheet and what information he needed in what timeframe. Communications was excellent, he responded promptly to any questions we had along the way. He is also very reasonably priced and very nice and laid back.

Mike was a fantastic part of our wedding. The quality and professionalism the he had was worth the price. His prices were extremely reasonable in comparison to other companies. I even had an issue arise with the venue, Mike put me at ease and provided what the venue should have and didn't charge me extra. He played what we wanted and provided a nice party scene that had a lot of people dancing the entire night. Towards the end of the night Mike himself joined us on the dance floor. He let me know all of the services he provided and the breakdown of the prices which made it very simple to understand. His pricing as well is very affordable. My fiance had gotten seriously sick at the time, so we had to scale down our wedding. We talked on the phone with Mike and had agreed to cancel the DJ services with a full refund. After some time and some delays, he finally made good on his promise and made things right for us.

My husband and I got married Aug. 2018 at Happy Days Lodge and Mike was great!! He was so easy and comfortable to work with. We didn’t even meet until the day of the wedding and everything turned out perfect! Mike even accommodated a last minute request for up lighting that looked great. Mike was also the most reasonably priced DJ.

Mike was an awesome DJ for our wedding and was super helpful with the logistics of the day and in working with the venue. He provided a worksheet prior to the wedding to get all necessary information which helped the day run smoothly. We had an outdoor ceremony and he provided all of the equipment needed and arrived early to get things set and working prior to our guests arriving. He worked with the officiant to determine if mics were needed and played the songs requested. Mike also helped out during dinner and dismissed tables for us as the caterer only had enough people to help with serving the food. Actually Mike also recommended our caterer - Proper Pig Barbecue- and more than half of our guests said that the food was the best they ever had at a wedding. All of our guests enjoyed interacting with Mike, they were happy with the music and danced until it was closing time. I would highly recommend Big Mic Productions for your wedding/event music&entertainment needs. Mike was very reasonably priced and did an awesome job!

Before my husband and I were married we had attended a good amount of weddings (as they say, they come in waves, and it's true). One of the critiques we had about many of them were the music choice/dancing. We found Mike while searching through reviews on The Knot in the Akron/Canton area (our wedding was in New Philadelphia, OH which is about 45 minutes south of Akron) and we came across his page. All reviews were great and it sounded like he kept the wedding reception moving. We set up a phone call with Mike and he made us feel at ease from the very beginning. He listened to our concerns and we explained to him what we were looking for and he said basically everything we were looking for he did. Mike was also very reasonably priced and was very upfront with cost as well as available equipment. After that we talked with Mike on the phone a few more times leading up to the big day and he was always patient and helpful. During our wedding day he was so attentive to our needs and to our schedule and ultimately helped the day to go smoothly. A wedding guest told my mom that during the reception Mike let our photographer know that "something big" looked to be happening and that it might be a good photo opportunity. This moment was when my mom dancing with my "Papa" (her dad) who just turned 90 this year so that was something we wanted to capture. He and our photographer (who had never met) worked great together. Mike helped to tie so many of the working pieces of our wedding day together. We've had so many people tell us how fun our wedding and reception both were; I don't remember the dance floor not being packed with people and I distinctly remember numerous people "boo-ing" when he stopped playing after our last song because they wanted to party on. Jeff and I are so happy we hired him, he helped us to have one of the best days and night ever. We hope he had as much fun as we all did! -Sidney and Jeff

We hired Big Mic Productions to DJ our wedding on December 8th. He did a great job and even arrived early to help prepare for the ceremony music. Mike was beyond amazing. He was the best DJ for our wedding day. I do NOT think I’ve been to a wedding with a better DJ. He did the photo-booth, up-lighting, ceremony microphones and reception. All went great, with no issues in the least. We had a very culturally diverse wedding and he had everyone dancing the whole night. Mike DJ'ed our wedding this past June and we couldn't be more happy with the decision to go with him. He was easy to communicate with leading up to the wedding and did a wonderful job the day of. It's been a year and people are still talking about how much fun our wedding was! Mike was super easy to work with. He gave us good to things to think about when coming up with a playlist but never tried to over take our vision. He read the crowd well, knew what to play to keep everyone partying! I contacted Mike as soon as I saw all the great reviews he had. He was an amazing guy on the phone, very nice, professional and helpful. I booked him for both the wedding and reception, and gave him lists with songs for specific moments. I was extremely picky when it came to the party music, which is why I made a huge list instead of just picking a music genre. The big day came, I noticed Mike didn't seem like the man I talked with on the phone. He seemed anxious (more than I was haha) and unhappy. Later, while the bridal party and I waited out in the hallway, I was a bit irritated to hear him playing the wrong songs, not to mention the same 3 songs over and over, even though I'd given him a full CDs worth. Next, he played the wrong song that my new husband and I were to walk back down the aisle to (just try to imagine our confused shock as we stood there like idiots for a full 10 seconds trying to comprehend the situation). All of these were minor blunders that I was willing to brush off, but Mike never seemed to stay behind his DJ booth during the party. He was constantly wandering around, usually asking me questions and interrupting my conversations. I wish I could've appreciated him trying to make sure everything was perfect, but his attitude just screamed 'unprofessional' that he quickly became a huge distraction to me. During the reception, he played songs that I absolutely hated, which is why I made a list in the first place. To add injury to insult, these annoying songs were played instead of songs I actually wanted. The end of the night was nearing, and I warned him my husband and I would be leaving soon but my family was staying to finish the party. He asked for the rest of his money and I reassured him he would be paid, but it was out in our car. Not even 10 minutes later, as we were saying goodbye to guests in the parking lot, my brother came out to inform me Mike was inside asking people if he was getting paid. I remember being furious, but I did not confront him on this issue. I simply paid him and left, glad to be done with him. I'm not sure if Mike was having a bad day or if something was happening in his personal life, but I honestly wouldn't recommend him. The night was definitely NOT horrible, he had his good moments and completed his job just fine. However, he made too many mistakes and and had an overall unpleasant attitude for a DJ who was not cheap.

DJs Eric and Luc were fantastic! They had every thing we requested, exactly how we requested it and when the night progressed at a slightly different speed than my (marginally obsessive) schedule they helped me figure out how to get things back on track. From the first discussion over the phone, to random questions I had over the year, Mike was always quick to respond and willing to help as much as possible.
