Big Rock Creek

I can’t say enough good things about Big Rock Creek and the staff! They are sure to make every single detail perfect for your big day. We had rain on wedding day and they accommodated our ceremony being inside and kept my stress to an absolute minimum. They went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make us feel like the most special couple. They were very responsive, from setting up our initial tour, to setting up little details, to taking care of our loved ones wedding day. We knew as soon as we walked into the barn and saw the property that this was where we wanted our wedding to be and they helped give us great ideas on decorating and things that have worked for other couples in the past. Highly recommend booking your wedding for the weekend (we had a Saturday wedding so we got Friday to set up the barn and have our rehearsal dinner AND got to have the wedding party stay at the 3 cabins on site from Friday evening to Sunday morning)! We also had other family members bring campers and stay in the glamp tents on site so they didn’t have to worry about driving to a hotel or going home. It felt absolutely magical with all the lights and beautiful woods surrounding the property. We plan to go back every year for our anniversary to celebrate with Big Rock staff and of course the cows (Maggie, Gus, Biscuits, and Gravy)! A HUGE thank you to all the staff but a special thank you to Becky, Barb, Josh, and Dad Brad for all of their help. Truly cannot recommend them enough!!!! You won’t regret having your special day here it will be the best day of your life!!!

Where do I even begin... Big Rock Creek was nothing short of absolute perfection. The venue, the environment, the service, the lodging, the barn, the staff was an absolute 15/10. After having to postpone our wedding due to covid and due to the uncertainty of restrictions we made the decision to move our location to Big Rock Creek and THANK GOODNESS we did. Becky and her team made the day absolutely spectacular. Often times you hear of things going wrong or not as you'd expected the day of the wedding, but Becky's team ensured it went off without a hitch. The location is serene, stunning, relaxing and quiet.. away from the hustle and bustle of the MPLS; however, it's not too far where guests felt like they had to travel a long way. Being able to have the ceremony and reception onsite, yet at different locations was incredibly special. Throughout the planning process, Becky was attentive, responsive, clear and communicative and was just as excited for our wedding as we were. Anything we needed, the team at BRC was there to help and support us. It's been nearly 2 weeks since our wedding and we continue hearing raving reviews about the beautiful barn at Big Rock Creek. Would recommend this venue to every single person, whether you're looking to plan a wedding, party or different kind of an event. You won't be disappointed. As a wedding photographer, I loved working with Kelly and her staff at Big Rock Creek! They are kind, caring, and are constantly thinking of ways they can make their couples' days better and better. Kelly is super quick on her communication which is something all brides and grooms will appreciate! Can't wait to work with Big Rock Creek again!!

When looking for a wedding venue, we were searching for not only a gorgeous venue for the ceremony & reception, but a true getaway for us & our guests. We definitely got that with Big Rock Creek! We rented out the property for both Saturday & Sunday night (Labor day weekend wedding) and were able to have everything from rehearsal dinner, to lodging for all family and bridal party on site. It truly felt like a vacation weekend, and not just our wedding. There were SO MANY great places on the property (which is just under 1,000 acres) for photos. BRC even helped us coordinate a tractor ride up to a beautiful overlook for our bridal party after the ceremony (and supplied enough white claws & beer to get the party started). There were three ceremony locations to choose from, and the staff was very accommodating in making sure we were able to make our vision a reality - and our ceremony turned out PERFECTLY! Speaking of staff ensuring a great experience, Kelly was a dream to work with. Very hands on (she even rode down on the wagon with my dad & I and fluffed my dress right before I walked down the aisle). Granted they are newer and there were a few hiccups in planning, I also enjoyed the newness because you could tell they were dedicated to making our wedding exactly what we wanted. Everyone on staff was so friendly and went absolutely above and beyond what was asked. I cannot recommend Big Rock Creek enough for anyone looking for a magical wedding surrounded by nature. I told myself I would NEVER get married in a barn, but when I saw BRC, that quickly changed my mind. Yes, it's a farm and barn property and you could definitely play that up. However, what we fell in love with was the landscape and how we were able to customize our wedding to make it our own. Will definitely be coming back someday and staying with our future children!
