Big Sand Productions is an award winning team of wedding DJs & Live Musicians who approach their work with true sincerity and authenticity. With more than 2,000 weddings combined experience, these professional entertainers are ready to do whatever it takes to rock your wedding .
The Big Sand Team understands that every couple has a unique vision for their wedding day. They'll work hard to find a way to reflect your taste in music, and your love story, through the songs they play. You'll get to meet your wedding DJ and/or Musicians with unlimited number of consultations to discuss your needs and preferences. The owner Pete is committed to making your celebration as fun and as unforgettable as possible.
Big Sand Productions offers music from a selection of genres, from Celtic to disco, letting you tailor the sound to fit your wishes. They will provide their own audiovisual and sound equipment to elevate their performances, as well as uplighting, Photo Booth and other unique add-on services. Once the festivities have drawn to a close, have an exit to remember with a sparkler send-off. In addition to their DJ, MC & Live Music services, each entertainer is also a trained wedding planner and is ready to support you however you need.

I've worked as a professional DJ and Musician for the past 10 years. As a kid, I used to DJ our annual block party at Big Sand Lake. Once I finally launched my own DJ company, I found it very fitting to name it Big Sand Productions!
Ever since, I have been fully committed to making each wedding as uniquely fun and memorable as I can. This company was built on the pillars of integrity and authenticity and has now developed into an incredible team of DJs who all share these values. It's my sincere hope to change the stigma of the Wedding DJ and bring only positivity to your wedding

Months prior to our wedding, we had a call with Pete and he helped set us up with a package that worked for our budget and a DJ that suited our style (it was a multicultural wedding with family from very diverse backgrounds). He sent us a link to the company portal, which contained a couple of comprehensive planning forms that really helped set our minds and ease and get everything planned out. On the day of the wedding, DJ John was an excellent DJ, mixing well and integrating our requests with some of his own music to keep the party going. He played all of our music for the ceremony and MC'd the reception, bringing energy and excitement to the crowd. All of those things were great, but you expect these things from any wedding DJ.
Pete will tell you that all of his DJs are also wedding planners, and this is where Big Sand really stood out for us! Like a lot of people in recent years, we didn't really have a full wedding planner in our budget, so we did most of the planning ourselves. On the day of, we had an on-site venue coordinator hanging around, but otherwise no one to really coordinate between our various vendors while we focused on getting married. DJ John showed up early and set up his equipment, then worked with the on-site coordinator, florist, officiant, and our ushers to make sure everything ran smoothly. He set up all of the cues for both the ceremony with the officiant and the reception with the venue, and he was constantly checking with us, making sure our reception went just the way we wanted. He coordinated the cake cutting with the venue, managed our speeches (of course), and directed our guests toward different events and end-of-night transportation. Basically, he handled all of the little details that we would have hired a wedding planner to take care of, allowing us to just relax and enjoy our day. Our wedding was perfect - more than we could have hoped for - and that was in large part due to DJ John.
We can't express our gratitude enough towards Pete, John, and Big Sand Productions. We highly recommend them to anyone who wants great music, great MCing, and a DJ who goes far beyond the normal scope of the job to make your wedding day perfect!

So many of our friends and family complimented us the music and loved the DJ. Zack was our saxophonist and he was also amazing! For the day of, our DJ was Mason and he was phenomenal. We spoke with him a few days prior and he made sure he had the right versions of all the important songs, we talked through the microphones for the ceremony and the vibe we were hoping for. On the day, Mason blew us away and kept our dance floor packed. He played from the list we gave him, but knew when it was time to switch gears to keep the party going. We had a lot of compliments about Mason, and we have nothing but positive things to say about him and Big Sand as a whole!

He also included more information on what they offer and pricing. I was impressed with the packages they offered and how affordable they were. Booking was simple! The personal portal was easy to navigate. We were able to complete the checklists on the portal with all the little details for our day. This saves so much time and stress! We received email updates and things as we got closer to our wedding day. Great communication! Our DJ, Justin, called a few days before the wedding to go over any questions for our day. He was super nice! The day of the wedding, Justin was the best! He did everything we wanted him to without any mistakes or issues. He took song requests, let the matron of honor karaoke, and even played a very special audio message from a loved one. Justin played all the best songs and kept everyone on the dance floor all night long. Our guests had nothing but good things to say about him. me page with timing and order of events and music selections, and we were able to set up special playlists and add notes for the day-of to go smoothly. Our DJ Lanise also helped edit our first dance song to be shorter with seamless transitions which was amazingly helpful!!!! We did heavily create our own playlists but gave our DJ flexibility to read the room, and we had an awesome mix of vibes for all types of hits, but most importantly for us, the pop punk flowed strong!

lable. The team is super communicative and so polite! I always received responses day of whenever I had questions. The portal is easy to use and add songs you like and don't like. I had to input our timeline into their portal which was a little time consuming but glad I had a moment to re check all the details. Our original assigned DJ ended up with an emergency and they were able to provide a back up from their team. We had Robb, super experienced and super nice. I dont know how many times he reminded me that he worked for us and was happy to do whatever would make the event run smoothly. He found our speech givers the day of and connected with them so they knew exactly what to do. He provided lights in our package and kept the vibe exactly what we were looking for genre wise. I honestly didnt do a ton of research on DJs because there are SO many, and I wasn't sure whats a good way to distinguish between them but glad I booked with BSP.

They provided a webpage for us to log all of our wedding details and requests for our special day. We received a phone call from our DJ to go over everything the week before the wedding. Our DJ was at the venue setting up and ready to go before we even arrived. If you're looking for affordable, professional, DJ services for your wedding, I would highly recommend Big Sand Productions for your special day!

We gave them a list of songs that we would like to play and he played them all in a way that was cohesive with the night. Once would requested songs were finished, Said let us know and started playing songs that were incredible and aligned with the other songs that were played. The saxophone player and photo booth were also incredible touches. My incredible competitive older brother looked at me mid reception and goes "yep, I think your wedding was more fun than mine" largely due to Said. We are so grateful for Big Sands and can't recommend them enough!!!

Then as we got closer to the day, we were introduced to our DJ Evan. Evan absolutely ROCKED and set the tone for a wonderful evening. We gave him a short list of "must plays" and trusted his expertise on the rest, and he did not disappoint. Evan was professional, accommodating, and very good at his job! The dance floor was packed all night and people had so much fun. I would unconditionally recommend Big Sand for any wedding.

On the wedding day, we had DJ Ty. I can’t say just how amazing he was! He was a pleasure to work with. We had a phone call with him a few days before the wedding to address any questions and make sure we were all on the same page. The day of, he showed up and was ready to go with plenty of time left over and was very professional all night. He made sure to read the vibes of the room and kept the dance floor moving all night long. There wasn’t a single moment all night where the dance floor was empty!

ave to listen to all 3-4 minutes of a song, he smoothly gets you into the good part of a song and then onto the next song. At brunch the next morning, people couldn't stop talking about how good the DJ was. Planning from top to bottom through Big Sands was so easy, they take such good care of their couples and DJs. They honestly made our wedding such a party and the dance floor was full til last call at midnight. 10/10.

We thought the online platform was easy to use, and they were upfront about pricing (we paid $2,000 for the day). We appreciated the check-in calls and guidance since when we started planning, we didn't have a holistic vision just yet.
