Robb was our DJ and we couldn’t have been happier with how our day went with him. He was in contact with us about everything and ensured us that we didn't have to lift a finger on our special day. When there was an issue with our caterer, Robb kept the music going and the morale high. He kept us calm and updated about the whole situation. Robb worked well with our photographer and venue coordinator, which left us stress free to enjoy our day. Throughout the night, he mingled with our family, bridal party, and us to make sure that he played what we all wanted to hear. My mom loved that he came to her to make sure her request was heard! th Pete and he helped set us up with a package that worked for our budget and a DJ that suited our style (it was a multicultural wedding with family from very diverse backgrounds). He sent us a link to the company portal, which contained a couple of comprehensive planning forms that really helped set our minds and ease and get everything planned out. On the day of the wedding, DJ John was an excellent DJ, mixing well and integrating our requests with some of his own music to keep the party going. He played all of our music for the ceremony and MC'd the reception, bringing energy and excitement to the crowd. All of those things were great, but you expect these things from any wedding DJ. Pete will tell you that all of his DJs are also wedding planners, and this is where Big Sand really stood out for us! Like a lot of people in recent years, we didn't really have a full wedding planner in our budget, so we did most of the planning ourselves. On the day of, we had an on-site venue coordinator hanging around, but otherwise no one to really coordinate between our various vendors while we focused on getting married. DJ John showed up early and set up his equipment, then worked with the on-site coordinator, florist, officiant, and our ushers to make sure everything ran smoothly. He set up all of the cues for both the ceremony with the officiant and the reception with the venue, and he was constantly checking with us, making sure our reception went just the way we wanted. He coordinated the cake cutting with the venue, managed our speeches (of course), and directed our guests toward different events and end-of-night transportation. Basically, he handled all of the little details that we would have hired a wedding planner to take care of, allowing us to just relax and enjoy our day. Our wedding was perfect - more than we could have hoped for - and that was in large part due to DJ John. We can't express our gratitude enough towards Pete, John, and Big Sand Productions. We highly recommend them to anyone who wants great music, great MCing, and a DJ who goes far beyond the normal scope of the job to make your wedding day perfect!

From the ceremony, to cocktail hour and dinner to dancing the night away, Pete kept the party going all night long! He was able to stall when the bride needed a few more minutes as well as gracefully transition the bride and groom from pictures and congratulations into their first dance! Pete did a phenomenal job at managing the entire day and night and things ran incredibly smoothly! From a guests perspective, the DJ does a lot of coordinating and is the one to keep the night moving and it was clear that Pete has experience with this! He coordinated all the different key players and all the things that go into your wedding day so effortlessly. We would have Big Sand Productions as our DJ over and over again! Big Sand Productions not only because of his reviews, but learned he's a musician so he gets music. After talking with him on the phone it was a total fit and we knew right away he'd be awesome. Throughout the year Pete always made himself available. He was the most responsive vendor we had, which is such an important quality to have. He was always there to answer one off questions and we always felt confident in him and felt we could count on him. His planning portal also helped make sure our day was captured the way we wanted it to - this also shows how much he cares about making sure our day was perfect. Pete truly went above and beyond, and exceeded our expectations. During our wedding day Pete got there in ample time to make sure everything from a sound perspective was set up. Throughout the day he helped make sure our day ran smoothly, from the ceremony to cocktail hour to dinner to dancing, everything flowed perfectly. He had great energy and a smile on his face the whole time - and he was super engaged and made sure we were doing good! The dance floor was POPPIN! He knew what music to play and the floor was a hit all night, which is all you can really ask for. I will always remember that part of the night.
