Big Sky was the perfect place to host our wedding weekend. Working with the entire team at Big Sky was seamless. Brittany, Emily and Meghan all made the process so easy and fun! Everyone was so accommodating and responsive and the communication was excellent. We have skied at Big Sky numerous times before our wedding, so we knew how great the venue was. When we decided to pick Big Sky for our summer wedding venue, everyone exceeded our expectations. From the food, to the venue, to the service staff, it was all perfect. I wish I could relive our wedding weekend over and over again, and it’s all thanks to Big Sky and everything they did for us. I highly recommend having Big Sky be the location for your wedding if you’re looking for excellent service!
Although there were many reasons to choose Big Sky Resort for our wedding celebration, one of the biggest reasons was the amazingly kind and responsive wedding sales manager, Brittany Lingman. We visited about 6 venues in the Bozeman area, but Big Sky Resort turned out to be the perfect location to introduce our east and west coast families and friends to the intermountain west. The resort is a great base camp for visiting Yellowstone National Park and the Bozeman area, not to mention the hikes, lift rides, biking, and zip lining possible right on resort property. Our reception took place in the Huntley Dining Room and went off without a hitch thanks to the Wedding Conference Services Manager, Emily Siefker. Guests reported only great things about the food and drinks, and the vendors (cake & DJ) recommended by Emily and Brittany were also wonderful and reasonably priced. And a huge thank you to the awesome Big Sky staff who took care of us for 7 straight hours. Even without a wedding planner, Brittany and Emily made planning our wedding at Big Sky Resort easy and low-stress.
Margo and the Big Sky Resort staff were incredible to work with! They made the wedding experience for our guests and for us, the most magical week/weekend of our lives! It has been 6 months, and our friends and family are still talking about how it was the most beautiful wedding they've ever attended. They almost all can't wait to go back again this winter with my husband, myself, and our family members! The drinks were perfect, the food fantastic, the service outstanding! It was a bit pricey, but considering you're getting married at one of the top ski resorts in the world, and a full service upscale hotel, the cost was in line with our expectations. Margo was very open and communicated openly and up front all costs. There were no surprises for us, and that made the week even more enjoyable! Anything we needed, she made sure we had. If you're interested in a winter destination wedding, I 100% recommend Big Sky Resort.

Words can not express how amazing Margo and team at Big Sky resort were for us! We had the best wedding weekend in Big Sky-a truly memorable experience we will never forget! They took care of everything and we didn't have to worry about anything buy enjoying our special day! I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a true Montana experience with the most amazing views in God's Country! Thank you Big Sky Resort for taking such good care of us! See you on the slopes this winter!
We planned our destination wedding for Big Sky. We have skied there for the past seven years and decided to share the beauty of the area with our friends and family. We chose a July wedding date to be able to enjoy a different season and were blown away by the beauty, hospitality and variety of activities at Big Sky. Family and friends were able to choose different housing from hotel to condo to houses and all raved about the size and comfort of the accommodations. Our guests enjoyed the golf, zip lines, hiking, summit tour, disc golf, and just relaxing in the base area. The food and service were top notch and provided one fabulous meal after another. We can not explain in words how perfect the venue was to gather our friends and family for an unforgettable destination wedding.
Big Sky Resort was an amazing place for our family and friends to gather. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting for our celebration. The service and the food was absolutely outstanding - our guests are still talking about it! The onsite coordinator made the day of the wedding stress free. We would highly recommend this to anyone searching for a Montana destination wedding location!
The resort is beautiful, but the process of working with the Big Sky wedding planner was beyond frustrating. I would vacation here again, but I would not have had our wedding there if we knew how stressful working with them would be.
I’ve grown up going to Big Sky Resort: skiing, summer activities, and everything in between and have dreamed of getting married with the Lone Peak backdrop. When my fiance and I walked onto the property to meet the team we immediately felt at home. Our tour of the grounds was fantastic and they painted a beautiful picture of what our wedding might look like. Their philosophy is, "anything you want, we can make happen!" My husband was hooked when they said, "yes anything... You want a tiger we can figure out how to do it." They welcomed our ideas during the planning and were exceptionally responsive to our questions. The coordinating staff is very experienced in their craft and was able to adapt our ideas to our budget seamlessly. Through this process our wedding weekend was better than we imagined. The wedding party and all of our guests felt special because every staff member knew about the wedding and proclaimed their congratulations. Having our coordinator around throughout the entire weekend was very special, it truly showed their involvement and attentiveness to any and all needs. She knew what was supposed to happen when and who was to be contacted, she definitely helped relieve the natural stress of a wedding!
Watching the staff work so hard to create a wedding environment that can revival any resort makes us very proud to have spent our special day with them. It will be hard to find a more beautiful setting, with lots of activities for your guests, provided to you by a more supportive and professional staff accompanied by the hospitality of Montana! We highly recommend allowing Big Sky Resort to help shape your unforgettable wedding.
My husband tells me often that our Big Day was the best day of his life, which is expected right- better be buddy! But the weird thing is I actually hear that from a lot of our guests too. Many say- "when are you having an anniversary party, we had the best time at your wedding and can't wait to come back". I'd like to take the credit for being a magnanimous person. However the credit must be given to Big Sky Resort. A. the setting is stunning! B. the resort amenities are extensive and accommodated everyone. The food and timing of everything was spot on and the staff was there to help out and make sure the day went smoothly, allowing for me and my family to really enjoy the glow of the day.
The day was a whirlwind, so we were very thankful for all the help provided to us in the months leading up to our big day. I really liked the way the menus and venue descriptions were laid out, it made it easy to see what we could get for what price and that helped me stay in BUDGET! I also loved that there were so many different lodging options within walking distance for our guests (since about 80% of our guests were from out of town). This allowed for everyone to find the right fit at the right price, yet still be together, which is really what it is all about (that and the hokey pokey). I recommend this venue. We were married in late August and there was also a motorcycle race going on and we didn't even notice!
Big Sky Resort does everything possible to make your wedding day impossible. You cannot have an event here without a wedding planner. Prices change constantly and you need to be willing to go to war for every single line item. I would avoid this venue. The price was outrageous, the service staff made me cry on numerous occasions and the food was horrible.
