We offer our customers an irresistible array of beautiful, handcrafted desserts and charming gifts in a warm and inviting neighborhood environment. This year we celebrate our 12 year anniversary! Thank you to all of our customers and neighbors for supporting our small business. We still crack eggs, zest lemons, make pie dough and bake in small batches, all from scratch.

We worked with Clay (creative director) on our cake and desserts for our wedding. We had a great tasting where he walked us through the cake different options, and gave us some rec...
ommendations for other desserts. We decided on the spot and got our order set up very quickly. They delivered everything to our venue perfectly and everyone said how delicious everything was. We will be coming back for birthdays and our anniversary to recreate the special day!
We had such an amazing cake tasting with Clay. He really helped us narrow in our design of our cake and they cake was by far the best we tried so far (tried 8 other bakeries). I ...
like the fact they use all natural ingredients and are flexible with what fillings, etc. you want to use. You must try this bakery!
Cake was nearly the very last vendor that we selected about maybe a month before our wedding. We had heard great things about the bakery, and scheduled a tasting after being impres...
sed by their online menu. Our tasting was great! Clay was super helpful and put together an assortment of flavors of cake and frosting and even let us try off menu flavors that he whipped up on the spot for us.
The tasting fee was included in the total cake price. Clay helped draw out the vision and design we had for our cake, giving his professional opinion in a respectful manner. We selected lemon cake with raspberry and vanilla frosting. The cake ended up looking and tasting incredible!
I was already a fan of the cupcakes from Big Sugar Bakeshop. Since their downtown location is right across the street from my wedding venue, it seemed like a no-brainer to order th...
eir cupcakes for my wedding. Buon was great to work with and the cupcakes were delicious as always. We didn't have any leftovers, which is how you know the guests really approved.
I've always been a huge fan of Big Sugar's red velvet cupcakes so having them make our wedding cake from the same ingredients was a no brainer. For $375 (which included the delive...
ry charge) we received a 3-tier cake...unfortunately it was the hottest day of the year that day and it needed to be delivered to Orange County & when it arrived the top tier icing had 'fallen' (as it wasn't transported in a refrigerated vehicle). I called Big Sugar immediately and they sent 2 people down to fix the situation in time so it all worked out. As this issue could've happened to any vendor, I do not hold it against them in any way and still recommend their work - the cake was absolutely delicious!
We chose Big Sugar because we have enjoyed their cupcakes for many years. They tast delicious and everyone loved them-fun flavors like red velvet, lemon, and Boston Creme among ot...
hers. We also had a nice and small wedding cake decorated like a birch tree that turned out really well. Cupcakes are tasty and not overly frosted like other places. The only thing I would say they need to work on communication and having an accesible price list when you meet with them so that everyone i.e. owner, baker/decorator, client is on the same page. Everything else, great!
