Fantastic Portland Venue & Delicious Food
Where to begin! My husband and I have SO many wonderful things to say about Chris, Beth, Adrian Arvizu, and the entire team at Big Tree! If it were possible to give an infinite number of stars, we absolutely would. If you read nothing else, you should know that Big Tree Catering is THE standard for event catering in Maine, and they were worth every single penny we spent for our wedding day.
I want to start with the extreme professionalism and care that Chris and team showed us through our wedding planning process. All brides know that sourcing, booking, and managing wedding vendors can be so stressful, but I never ONCE stressed or worried about Big Tree. Chris and team were always incredibly proactive, responsive, detail-oriented, present, and overly communicative about everything related to our wedding food and beverage service. I had such peace of mind about the food at our wedding, and that is truly a testament to the whole team at Big Tree. That alone was worth everything to us.
If the professionalism alone isn’t enough to convince you, let me talk about the AMAZING food. My husband and I were SO impressed with the quality, taste, and entire dining experience; from the cocktail hour appetizers to the plated dinner, there was not one single thing we had that wasn’t truly award-winning. My husband’s entire family is full of huge foodies, and trust me when I say that, months later, we have not stopped hearing about the “best wedding food we’ve ever had,” which is not a compliment they would ever give freely if it wasn’t true. Adrian and team work wonders, and truly know their stuff!
Lastly, we’ve all been to weddings before where the pacing and quality of food service left something to be desired, which is why my husband and I had VERY high standards for service. Trust me when I say that Chris, Adrian, and team went above and beyond in that department. Each of our 125 guests had their beautiful plates of food in record time, not one person was left looking around wondering when they’d be served. We even had a snafu with our salad plate rentals (a fault of the bride/plate rental company miscommunication) which Chris solutioned and re-engineered on the spot beautifully. Not one guest noticed that anything was amiss!
From start to finish, working with Big Tree was such a highlight of our wedding. They have created some of the most beautiful memories that my husband and I will treasure forever. Thank you Chris, Beth, and the entire team at Big Tree for your wonderful service!
Big Tree, Chris and the entire team are absolutely amazing. We used Big Tree for our wedding last September in Maine and they crushed it. The team is very hands on and on top of everything. Chris had excellent communication throughout the process as well. We truly did not have to worry about one thing when it came to the catering aspect of our day. Our guests were also blown away by the presentation and food. We heard over and over again that it was the best food guests have had at a wedding. Thank you so much Chris and the team!
