Bigwood Event Center

I can't say enough great things about this place! We had our wedding reception here and they were so easy to work with! I genuinely felt they did everything possible to make sure the day was perfect for us and our guests! From planning to the night of the event, everything went so smoothly! They really went above and beyond! Knowing they had a wedding the night before, we couldn't get into decorate until the morning of the event. Everything was set and ready for us to start decorating before we got their at 7 am! All of the staff were so friendly. Many of them stopped to congratulate us and ask if there was anything that we needed. Many of our guests made comments to us about how wonderful the hotel staff were to them as well. It was one of our younger guests birthday the next day, and the hotel staff made him a special brownie for breakfast. The staff made him feel more special than ever! We also had some of our guests go swimming the next morning. They went to the front desk to ask if they had any floaties or pool toys that people have left behind. They said they didn't, but if they waited 10 minutes the staff would go to the store and get some. After telling the staff that wasn't necessary, they went ahead and did it anyways! They tried paying for them, but the hotel insisted that it wasn't necessary. Not only did they make our weekend wonderful, but went out of their way to make our guests feel the same way. It was a wonderful place to start our married life together and highly recommend this place for anyone and everyone!

Awesome people to work with. Everyone loved the food and I was very impressed with the fast service. Kids get their meals right away and it did not take long for all of the guests to get their food after the head table. They are willing to work with you and make your day perfect!

If I had to do my wedding all over again, I would WITHOUT A DOUBT choose the Bigwood Event Center! Their staff was friendly and accomodating. The wedding planner/event coordinator was FABULOUS...even getting us into our ballroom early to decorate the afternoon before! The food was delicious and the catering staff was quick/efficient and friendly. The site was GORGEOUS. I got so many compliments on our ballroom. Overall, this place was FANTASTIC and helped to make our dream-day come true. THANKS!

The staff at the Bigwood was great to work with. They were extremely helpful and flexible - even when it rained the day of our outdoor wedding and had to move everything to that location. Plus we got a ton of compliments on the food.
