rdly near a rack and I had to get the dresses off the rack and carry them over to her. I asked for her input of what dresses to try on, and she didn’t give any. When it was time to try dresses on, she handed me a dress and said “ok just let me know when you’re ready and I’ll zip you up.” Comparable to other bridal stores, other attendants would assist me in getting the gown on and off. I was left alone trying to get in and out of these 20 lbs dresses . When it was time to walk outside to show my guests, the attendant stood off to the side and didn’t say a word. It made the experience so awkward. When on of the dresses didn’t fit me, I told the attendant the material Crepe wasn’t for me and I wasn’t interested in any more Crepe dresses. After I handed her back the dress. I heard her outside my fitting room getting help from her coworkers and there was a lot of whispering, then next thing I know there were 3 attendants trying to help me, which was very intimidating going from one attendant who didn’t speak to two more who didn’t introduce themselves. The next dress I was handed was Crepe disregarding my dislike. Even had I found the dress of my dreams, my experience alone would be enough for me not to purchase from this store.

y came alone to try on the dress and Jenna took so many pictures for me and made the experience feel not stressful at all. At this point I had tried on over 70 dresses and was exhausted with the process. I ended up coming back and buying the dress with my sister and they made ordering very easy. The dresses are reasonably priced and they had a wide variety.
Because of the distance of where I live from the store, I opted to choose a tailor closer to home, which was a huge mistake. The woman did not fit the dress on me right and I immediately called Jenna and sent her pictures, after it was "done". She told me not to worry and that they could have one of their tailors help me fix the dress. Within an hour, she had three tailors ready to help me and they fit me in within a week. This was all about a month before my wedding so I was really anxious. The seamstress I worked with was so kind and made my dress fit perfectly! I wish I had done their tailoring from the beginning. I also ended up ordering my bridesmaid dresses from Bijou because they were able to order a specific color that I could not find anywhere else! All the ladies that work here were always helpful and encouraging. Jenna saved my wedding dress and I am so grateful for her and the Bijou team!

mpressed by Jess, who did some expert alterations. My dress was all different lace patterns and I am short so it needed to be taken up by about a foot, and she made the alterations seamlessly. She was also patient and listened to what I was looking for in my dress, explaining everything she planned to do and adjusting it to my needs. I could not have asked for a better experience!

The alterations are insanely expensive. From the beginning, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with my dress and was given a package price (basically to make it fit my body) and additional pricing to change the silhouette. Each time I went for a fitting, however, more charges were tacked on for what was already discussed. It was a little off-putting, but what was I going to do at that point? I couldn’t say no or take my dress elsewhere.
I had my final fitting scheduled for the week prior to my wedding (this was maybe the 5th time I had to go in, which again seemed excessive). Two day before the fitting, I got a call that someone in the shop had tested positive for Covid. Are you serious? I went into immediate panic mode. They assured me that my dress would be ready for my wedding and they would do everything possible to make that happen. I wasn’t comfortable going into the shop again, I was not going to risk exposure to myself and my entire family! I was able to pick my dress up on the day my final fitting was scheduled, thank God, right? Well... when I got it home, it was still big around the chest (which had been an issue at every other fitting), there was a slight imperfection around the scalloped edge of the hem, and the transition from the bodice to the skirt was not how I discussed at my previous fitting. I don’t even know if the original seamstress worked on the final product. When I reached out to the shop, they basically told me the only thing I could do is go into the shop. Again... no. How is it fair to expose myself to this virus less than a week before my wedding!?
I opted to just settle with my dress as is, which is upsetting. My dress was beautiful but less than perfect, thanks to the lack of attention from the alterations. The last thing I thought I would have to settle for (considering everything else), was this.

erations at a flat rate, with the exception of any custom work or design changes. All the pricing for the custom changes you requested were also quoted and recorded on your contract when you purchased the gown. The only added charge was a design change you had not originally asked for. Alterations are a service we provide, but by no means are any of our customers obligated to have them done with our salon.
The last fitting you had scheduled was your fourth fitting and not the pick up of your completed dress. Normal bridal alterations usually require approximately 3 fittings to complete. However, due to the extensive custom changes you requested (turning a ball gown into a slim A line), additional fittings were required.
When we contacted you to reschedule your appointment due to one of our employees being exposed to COVID-19, you mentioned your concerns about coming in for a fitting. We assured you that the exposed employee was quarantined and our entire staff were tested immediately after. We understand you were worried about coming into the store due to health reasons, but we took every precaution to guarantee the safety of our staff and customers. Since you still had some concerns, we offered to pack the dress up for pick up and have you try on the gown at your own home. We explained that since you did not have your final fitting, there may be additional adjustments that will be needed. We all agreed that you would bring the gown back in for further adjustments if necessary. You understood and thanked us before you left.
We heard back from you a couple days later letting us know you were upset because you felt the bodice was still too big and further adjustments were needed.. We asked you to come back in for additional alterations, which is what we originally discussed since you did not have your final fitting at the store, but you refused. We also offered to have you work with one of our contractors, who does not work inside the store, but you declined this offer as well.We are always determined to ensure the complete satisfaction of our brides and continue to offer options. Your consultant asked you to send photos in the gown and made an appointment for you to facetime her for guidance, but she never heard back from you.
When we received photos from your photographer, which we posted on our instagram account 10/6, we thought you looked beautiful and the gown appeared to fit very well. We were confused to see this review, as the alterations look perfect in your photos and we tried everything in our power to accommodate you during the process. We would love for you to call us to discuss this further. Thank you for your feedback.

She made sure that each bridesmaid tried on dresses that they liked while looking on the rack and was very attentive. Jenna even pulled my wedding dress and accessories so that I could try it on while next to the girls to ensure that my vision for the wedding attire was perfect. In the end, we all agreed on the dress and color, and everyone was very happy with the choice! I never thought I would find a dress that would make me feel so beautiful. I also did my fittings here, and Deborah was a fantastic seamstress. The only negative thing I would have to say about Bijou is that they charge a "flat fee" for their fittings but then charge additional for extra bustle points. I was surprised how expensive the fittings ended up being; however, I would definitely recommend Bijou for your wedding attire.

ompletely listened to what I wanted and stayed way UNDER budget! Almost every gown I tried on, I absolutely loved. Not only did they pull gowns that were perfect, but we had such a great time! It was like shopping with 2 friends I had known for years. I never felt rushed and never felt like they were pushing anything on me. Also, my family had a great time sitting in their beautiful room waiting for me to come out and show them the gowns. And then, the alterations process was also a dream!!! I LOVED my seamstress and we even got to know her pretty well, too! My mom, grandmother or sister came with me to those appointments and again had a great time. Bijou even had hours in the evening so I didn't have to take time off of work to just to get in for alterations. Bijou was also so great throughout the alterations process. The seamstress was so sweet and patient with me as I nitpicked through all the details, and the dress was absolutely flawless for my wedding day.

ample size I could actually fit into. I contacted Bijou Bridal of Ardmore hoping they might have the dress I was looking for but they didn’t. Their NJ location had the dress and they offered to get the dress from the NJ location so that I could try it on. I had some concerns because the sample size was too small but I was still encouraged to come in and try on the gown. When I got there the dress was pulled out already and all set for me to try on. I found out during my appointment that not only did they get the dress free of charge from the other location a manager actually drove to the NJ location to get the dress for me to try on. I was absolutely stunned.
To top it off my bridal consultant Jenna was amazing. She was extremely helpful and extremely friendly. She helped me feel good in the dress despite it being too small and we got to talk about our love of say yes to the dress. Not only was she amazing with me but she was amazing with my 2 month old, my entourage and she had no problem joking around with my fiancé. Once I decided that that dress was actually my dress she encouraged me to go back out on the “runway” and take a few pictures of my amazing Sophia Tolli gown.

Alaya assured me she had a plan and to not be discouraged, we were just warming up. She was ONE HUNDRED PERCENT dead on the money. The dress that literally made me a puddle of happy tears was mid-way through the line up. Alaya listened to EVERY bit of feedback and more so, my face and body language to pin point the exact perfect dress. Not to mention, the appt was for 1.5 hours but we were there for almost 3. The best thing about our experiences at Bijou Bridal was working with Nicolette the seamstress. She is incredibly talented. She knows exactly how a dress should fit and move - my dress fit PERFECTLY. Her alterations made the dress even more flattering - they were changes I never would have thought of that made a huge difference. She performed a miracle turning my mom's oversized and kind of beat up sample dress into a STUNNING gown. She is also really kind and cool and fun to work with - I looked forward to seeing her at fittings. We'll miss her!

and beyond humble, stating all she does is "clip and zip" lol but after having a far cry from the same experience and not the best atmosphere at other salons, I can say with certainty that she does so much more than that. She is very experienced and legitimately showed me the dress of my dreams on the very first try. With that, she was so warm, friendly and encouraging. Not once did I feel pressure to 'say yes to the dress' but rather, she let me have time to myself and really enjoy the moment with my family and friends. I'm EXTREMELY indecisive so I was dreading having to try on many more dresses and had a slew of other appointments lined up. It became very apparent that I should trust my gut, but they still allowed me the time and privacy to do so, while also making me feel like an absolute goddess/movie star/the perfect bride, all rolled into one. Although I knew from the moment I put it on that this was "my dress" I was too afraid at first to say so, thinking things should be harder or I should try on more... with that, they told me to go for a walk by myself in the dress and that no decisions needed to be made right now. As I walked along the salon floor I got a truly serendipitous sign as a song which signifies a relationship of a lost loved one came on the radio and everyone in my party cried and we knew that this was my dress. With that, the staff cheered and provided tissues and truly made it a moment I will never forget. To top it all off, they said I can come back any time and try on my dress to show other members of my bridal party who could not be in attendance at this appointment. I found my dress at the very first meeting. They accommodated my huge crowd as well. I also have to give a huge thank you and standing ovation for my seamstress, Nicolette. My dress was ordered in September 2017 and arrived in February 2018. I began my first fitting the second week in August and had one each week leading up to the wedding. Nicolette was a perfectionist and got my dress to fit perfectly. I really cant say enough good things about Nicolette. she made me feel comfortable at all my fittings and took the time to listen to how I wanted the dress to fit. I have a larger chest and went with a sweetheart neckline and was nervous I would be pulling the dress up all night or look like I was spilling over but Nicolette worked her magic and the dress stayed fitted to my body accenting my figure but not showing too much. She wasn’t trying to sell me on buying any dress but she was trying to make sure I found the "right" dress. Needless to say, I found my dream dress and it was under my budget. They were kind enough to have my dress delivered the the Ardmore store, and also allow me to do my alterations in Ardmore as it is significantly closer to my home. (I did have to have this written into my contract by the store manager in NJ for it to be honored.) While the employees of the NJ store were nice, the Ardmore team is unmatched! They always greet you with a smile and are incredibly patient and kind. Nikolette, our seamstress, worked MAGIC on both my wedding dress and my mom's mother-of-the-bride dress. My dress needed just a few alterations, while Nikolette COMPLETELY reconstructed my mom's dress to fit her. Honestly,I have no idea how she did it, but she did and it was stunning! We got compliments on both of the dresses all night! She was incredibly patient with teaching my Maid Of Honor how to bustle both dresses and even drew diagrams for her to have the day of, just in case. I was actually a little sad picking up my dress for the last time, because you get so used to seeing the girls there over the few final weeks leading up to your wedding! said I think I have a dress you’ll love from everything I’ve heard. I put it on and it was my dress! I wanted a vintage lace dress for my garden wedding. Everyone started crying as I walked out and we knew that was my dress. My sister wanted me to try on a more ball gown style just to say i tried it on to see me in it. When I put it on it was amazing but didn’t really fit my outside wedding garden venue. Everyone agreed it was amazing but the first dress was what i had to get married in. As weeks went on I kept thinking about that second dress I called my sister and asked if I’d be crazy if I got the other one too. She said if it’s the last dress you tried on not at all let’s do it and keep it a surprise! So I email bijou and I went back in and got the second dress. They were amazing with keeping the second dress a surprise. Every time i went in they knew my name and always came back during fittings to see me in the dresses and truely cared and were excited for me. They made every fitting, picking up the dresses, every step of the process so easy and everything was perfect after every fitting. They made me and my sister who came to every appointment with me feel like part of their family and so welcoming. Couldn’t thank Bijou enough for making our wedding day that much better! I tried on were worn to shreds. Most were sized 8, 10 & 12 and it appeared that over time, the sample dresses had been tugged and clamped one too many times. The beading was missing, lace and fabrics were torn and some of the buttons were missing. It was difficult to image myself in the gowns because not only were they too tight, they were in really rough shape. This wasn't one or two gowns either, it was a majority of the ones I pulled.
I recommend this boutique if you have a large party, as the platformed area is large with a lot of seating. The lighting is really flattering too. We were told shortly after arriving that no photographs were to be taken of any of the dresses. I left wondering if it was because they were in such bad shape.

The only things I️ would change is to allow for more than 1.5 hours for an appointment, allow you to take photos in the dresses to compare (although the consultants ARE allowed to do this on their own phones), and to have more sizing options for the sample gowns. he saleswomen that I was planning to lose weight and that the sample was already too large (which was obvious by the large amount of fabric clipped back), she advised me to go a size up. I understand that its better to go larger than too small, but when I tried on the dress I didn't even recognize it. The first seamstress wasn't understanding what the dress was supposed to look like after several explanations.
Luckily, Nickolette came through (as she heard what was going on) and from the beginning was listening and understanding the issues. She was professional, an amazing seamtress, and basically saved my wedding dress. She was able to shape my dress exactly how I envisioned it to look (from when I first bought the dress).
I give Bijou Bridal 3 stars (front desk wasn't very friendly and they forgot to take off the censor I wore to rehearsal dinner) , Nickolette gets 10 stars!!!
P.s She also came to my hotel and removed the censor that the sales people in the front forgot to remove.

With ten guests, things can get overwhelming, but Neena made me feel so much better because she literally did everything for me! She explained the process of how they operate and let me take my time with everything. I barely had to move while trying on dresses because she did everything for me. She followed me around so she could figure out what I liked and then also picked out new styles and told me to be open to trying on other things which I ended up loving. The appointment was great, the entire staff was helpful. In addition to that specific dress I was after, my consultant pulled several other dresses to try and compare to "the one". There was no pressure to buy, no pressure to hurry up, and no pushing with upselling.
In the end, the one was really THE ONE, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I highly reccomend it for any Bride!

I worked with Erica, the consultant who was literally a breath of fresh air. Erica was incredibly knowable, helpful and made me feel like I could trust her guidance. Without her help I don't think I would have been able to walk out of there feeling so sure and confident about my perfect dress. Maria and Nickolette were such gems and really helped to make the experience even better than I could have imagined. She answered all my questions and made sure that every dress that we pulled with in my budget. Never once did I feel pressured into making a choice and she never rushed me to switch out of a dress.
