I went to many florists in my search for something special. They all showed me they same arrangement and same flowers that I saw that the last 3 weddings I had been to. Then I met Bill and through all his questions about our relationship and my style, he came up with the most beautiful arrangements for our centerpieces & bouquets. It was like he knew what I wanted before I did. If you get the chance to work with him I know he will make all your visions come to life! He is the best!

Bill is AMAZING. If you're thinking about going with him, stop thinking about it and just do it. He is SO passionate about his job. Even when he delivered the flowers in the morning & picked up his items at night, he made us feel so special. You won't find anyone better than him. Bill made our wedding super personal and special! He accomodated our budget and vision, and really spent a lot of time getting to know us before he executed the vision. After sitting down with Bill I gave him a brief idea of what I was looking for and he took it and ran with it. I was so amazed at what he came up with, I was blown away when I saw the final product. He does an excellent job and he is so great to work with. He really tries to capture your personalities in his work and it shows. What I really appreciated was that he is so honest. We mentioned incorporating a few things to the wedding but it would cost more. He would tell us if he thought it was worth spending more or not. We told him our budget and he really worked to get the most our of it so we weren't going over. Completely trustworthy!

Bill was an absolute pleasure to work with, from the first meeting until the day of our wedding he was always on the ball with communicating. Bill is a bonafide genius with flowers and a joy to work with. My bridal bouquet was absolutely gorgeous and everything I had hoped it would be. He worked with me on my reception decor to make it something unique and different - I didn't want the reception to just look like something had thrown up "wedding flowers" all over the place and he delivered! I used Bill Hamilton Designs for our wedding at the University of Michigan League in August 2014. When people ask me what my favorite part of the day was, I say it's the moment when they opened the doors to the ceremony room, right before I walked down the aisle. It was so beautiful - Bill did an amazing job! Bill asked me about my budget first, and then was able to stick with that budget. As we talked through what kind of flowers I wanted and how many, he talked about trade-offs in order to stay in the budget. And he re-used as many pieces as possible from ceremony to reception. I appreciated this so much. Bill had tons of good ideas, which was important to me because I don't know a lot about flowers and I'm not very creative. He looked at my Pinterest board, met with me in his studio, and did a very good job coming up with something that I absolutely loved. Lastly, Bill's attitude is infectious! Every time I talked to him, I hung up the phone feeling happy and very excited for the big day. It was also great to see him on wedding day - he has such a positive energy. Overall - highly recommended!

We were incredibly happy with the service from Bill Hamilton Designs. Bill sets himself apart from other florists/planners by taking the time to really get to know you and your likes/dislikes. Bill provided the perfect combination of honoring our wishes but also being creative when we couldn't make a decision or needed advice. Bill Hamilton Designs did an excellent job coordinating floral designs, linens and other vendors to make our day perfect. He took the time to coordinate a linen vendor for us and met us at the showroom to help us decide. He was more than just a florist! The quality of the arrangements and his services were more than what I expected. He knew exactly what I wanted and I trusted him and his experienced staff. I would recommend him to any bride with any budget. He is the best in metro Detroit!

What can you say about Bill? His passion for his profession is unmatched and meeting with him you can really feel that he is listening and envisioning how to make your wedding as special as possible. Bill was recommended by our wedding planner (TwoFoot Creative) and there was no doubt he was the perfect man for the job. In our first meeting, Bill had some very creative ideas (some we took and some we didn't) but we were just impressed that he was already getting in tune with our taste and we hadn't even hired him yet! Bill is very generous with his creations and really goes above and beyond what you are actually paying for. This is all a testament to his true love for what he does. Bill is beyond fantastic and a total creative genius. Not only did he take the time to get to know both me and my husband, he was a great listener and his flower arrangements were exactly what we had envisioned (except better). Initially, we didn't think it was possible for our "dreams to come true" with our budget, but Bill made it happen. He literally blew us away. The value we got was amazing. Furthermore, while most florists just stick to the flowers, Bill was happy to take part in the entire design process, and came up with fabulous ideas that brought our event from beautiful to beautiful, amazing, and impressive. Lastly, Bill is an absolute pleasure to work with - definitely the most fun vendor we encountered. We feel so lucky to have worked with him. We hired Bill Hamilton Designs for our fall wedding (Oct 2013) and we are SO happy we did! Bill is an amazing, talented person and I hope you have the pleasure of working with him for your wedding too. Being a bride doesn't mean you automatically know a lot about flowers. Which are in season? What are their names? Which ones come in red? I didn't know any of this. I just knew what "feel" and "color scheme" I wanted my wedding to have. Other florists demanded to know exactly what I wanted in my centerpieces and bouquets. I was intimidated by these other florists. But then I met Bill. Bill gets to know you. Then he designs the most personal, amazing floral arrangements for every part of your wedding within the budget that you are comfortable with. He executes your vision in his own unique way, and it's better than anything you would have imagined yourself. For example, he designed several types of arrangements for us because we wanted guests to feel that each table was unique. So many guests ooh'ed and ahh'ed over the flowers. My bouquet was also a dream - he incorporated a special touch that was for my eyes only. :) Bill was also the most warm and funny person we worked with. He was so relaxed and you can tell he just loves what he does! He is such a pleasure to be around and to work with. He absolutely works within your budget and never made us feel that we should spend more than what we could afford. He will make your event beautiful, special, amazing. Guaranteed.

Bill was unbelievable! We used him for our wedding designer/florist on August 24, 2013. From our first meeting in his home, he was interested in discovering who we are as a couple. He created an outstanding contemporary feel for our wedding that guests raved about. My bridal bouquet was stunning and unique and literally brought tears to my eyes. He and his partner went well beyond in setting up our ceremony and reception site. It all just came together so beautifully. Thank you Bill, for all your creativity and talent!!! :) It was spectacular.

Bill did the flowers for our 160 person wedding. Without much time to spend planning I gave him some ideas of the styles I liked and let him run with it. It was perfect. The arrangements he made were far and above more than I could have ever imagined. Bill also worked with the facility to get the lighting right and enhance the overall mood of the room. Bill was a great person to work with and my husband and I both now consider him a good friend.

Bill Hamilton was a delight to work with and he created a BEAUTIFUL atmosphere for my outdoor garden ceremony and tented reception at Meadow Brook Hall. I live out of state so most of our communication was done over the phone and email. I had some pretty specific ideas about the colors I wanted (and didn't want) and how I wanted things decorated and he was incredibly patient in working with me, even when I completely changed the centerpiece design two months before the wedding! He was always willing to talk over different options with me and did not hesitate to share his opinions and provide suggestions, which I really appreciated and trusted! Even though he assured me that it would not rain, (and then followed through on his promise, because we had perfect weather!) he came up with an indoor backup plan that I was happy with. On the day of the wedding, he was personally on site before and after the reception and hand-delivered my gorgeous bouquet to me! Then he gave my husband and me a "sneak peak" of our tent before all of the guests arrived, and we were totally blown away. I am someone who over-planned every aspect of the wedding and had multiple diagrams drawn as to how I wanted everything designed, so I initially had a hard time handing over the reigns to someone else. But Bill came through and gave us an absolutely breathtaking tent, even more perfect than I could have imagined! Our guests continue to tell us that it was the most beautiful wedding they have ever attended. Bill has a great personality and was so much fun to work with, and always provided a calming, rational presence when I started to freak out about the flowers. I am going to miss working with Bill!

Bill Hamilton Designs created beautiful wedding bouquets, nosegays, and boutonnieres for our wedding! I live out-of-state and was only able to meet with Bill once but we managed to plan all the colors and the flowers in one meeting. I was so happy with his work. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous! Bill Hamilton designs prepared the most gorgeous flowers for my daughter's wedding. He met with us and visited the location and tailored the flowers to the venue in the most unique creative ways. They were so exquisite and beautiful. I cried when he delivered the bouquets because they were so stunning (I wish I could post a picture). Bill just understood exactly what we wanted and exceeded our wildest expectations. He is also an absolutely wonderful person and was such a joy to work with. Would recommend him to everyone!

Bill is an incredible human being. This is the only review that I've truly clicked all fives with no questions asked. He really took the time to get to know us individually and as a couple. The bouquet he made for me honestly made me cry, the way he used all the colors I liked, the hemp twine, and incorporated something my grandma had crafted was beyond perfect. He was punctual and there is not a SINGLE thing I can say that was not absolutely stunning and perfect. Thanks a MILLION BILL!

Seriously, though, Bill is simply amazing at what he does. Period. He got to know me on a personal level, and he really incorporated that into his designs for my wedding. I had a semi-unusual theme (Miami/Moroccan), but he brought these two concepts together beautifully. We worked together on some ideas; I brought some of my own personal touches to the table, but for the most part, he just took my vision and ran with it! He is not just a florist, but a true wedding designer. He helped me pick linens, worked closely with our rental company and venue, and used a variety of decor - including flowers - to transform my venue into a gorgeous Moroccan lounge. My husband and I were lucky to have a sneak peak of the room before the guests arrived, and we were FLOORED. I should mention here that my budget was rather small, but Bill worked with what he had to create the atmosphere I wanted (and more) within that budget. I only wish that I was able to share pictures, because his work speaks for itself. There is zero hesitation when I say you would be doing yourself a huge favor in hiring Bill for your wedding. He is sincerely a gem. :)

Working with bill Hamilton was a very enjoyable experience. After our initial meeting and interview with my daughter I was convinced that he would be amazing. I didn't spend a minute worrying about the design or quality. I wasn't disappointed. The outcome was amazing, fabulous, spectacular, and any other descriptive used for wonderful. We developed a friendship over the past few months and he feels like family. The attention to achieving my daughters vision was always in the forefront of his plan. The personal attention is so welcome in this business. I will use bill for any future floral and design needs. He rocks!

My daughter gave Bill free reign on flowers and decor for her reception. He did not disappoint. When I walked into the room for the first time I was awed by the way the room "sparkled." Many guests commented that it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever attended. The flowers, the linens, the chairs, the lights, the candles--all set a scene beyond compare. To top that off, Bill is so enthusiastic. He takes time to know the bride and groom so his design matches their personalities and creates the wedding of their dreams. It was perfect!

There is a reason why we call Bill Hamilton, Fabulous Bill he is remarkable. First he takes the time to talk to the bride and groom to get a understanding of who they are as individuals. AND he gets it RIGHT. Wtih subtle items mixed in here and there to personalize the wedding you are smiling from ear to ear. He nailed it. My daughter's dream wedding came to life. Everything was more then we hoped for from the cermony to reception. He transformed the Royal Oak Music Theatre to Old Hollywood with beautiful opened red roses, soft feathers, lighting and so much more.

My now-husband and I were introduced to Bill Hamilton through our wedding planner, Ana Skidmore of Two Foot Creative, and it was love at first meeting! Bill is a fabulous person, of course, and was so much fun to work with throughout our year of wedding planning. But, most importantly, Bill is an incredible florist and designer, and created the most beautiful wedding for us. My husband and I have very different styles (and very specific tastes) and Bill rolled with our semi-crazy descriptions of what we wanted and was able to incorporate each of our styles into one stunning, cohesive look. He went above and beyond to make me happy and even built custom tables for us when we couldn't find perfect ones to rent. Bill was incredibly receptive to my suggestions, very responsive, and a real joy to communicate with. We planned our wedding long distance and had to delegate a lot of decor decisions to Bill. Needless to say, his taste is just lovely and we couldn't have been happier with how our wedding looked. It was clean, simple, and beautiful, just as we hoped it would be. I cannot say enough positive things about Bill Hamilton. We were lucky to have great experiences with all of our wedding vendors, but he was definitely one of our favorites. I know that we will look back at our wedding pictures years from and be just as happy with our decision to work with him as we are now because everything about the decor was just so perfect. Bill Hamilton Designs would be an incredible asset to any bride & groom while wedding planning, especially those that might be planning a wedding from afar!

I cannot say enough good about my experience working with Bill Hamilton. I hadn't prioritized decor in my budget - I just thought of flowers as overpriced and not that important. Bill was referred to me by my caterer. I gave him my budget, and basically set him free to take it from there. Bill met me at my church weeks before the wedding to get a sense of the space, and he coached me on everything from table placement to where to position the musicians that would welcome guests. He was funny and warm and creative, but also honest and attentive. He listened very carefully to what I wanted and also told me honestly when something I wanted might not work as I was imagining. His pre-wedding advice was so helpful. My wedding was absolutely beautiful, and I can't believe, in retrospect, that I thought flowers weren't a big deal. We had an interfaith wedding, and Bill created a stunning chuppah. My bouquet was unique and gorgeous. And he worked a hands-down miracle in my church hall - I couldn't believe how he transformed the space. Through it all he was professional and reliable. In short, Bill is gifted at what he does and a pleasure to work with.

I booked Bill for my wedding in June 2012 and I still have guest raving about it months later. I wanted an old Hollywood theme and when i walked into the room I cried. He took a vision and made it a reality. there wasn't a single detail missed. I want to book him for all my parties!!!

Bill Hamilton is an amazing person and designer. He was so much fun to work with! His decor at my wedding set such a great mood for the day as well as kept it classy. I am pretty sure if I did a science themed wedding by myself it would have been corny at best. Not only that but he came under budget. Bill did an amazing job with the flowers at our wedding. What's really special about him is that he works to really get to know you and your venue and designs from there. When I initially met him I had a picture of a centerpiece that I basically wanted an exact replica of. Bill helped come up with something that was more unique and our own, but had a lot of the things I loved about the picture I was originally set on. I never saw fully exact designs of what Bill was going to do, particularly for the bouquets, so I got to be surprised on the day of the wedding! He had my style down and created flowers more perfect than anything I could have possibly thought of or found a picture of. We also had a venue change about 4 months before the wedding and he met with us again in the new venue and came up with a wonderful idea to fill the new space, without breaking the bank. He can truly work with anything. I highly recommend him.

Both Bill and his flowers have tons of personality! He really takes the time to figure out who you are, and to incorporate that information into his design. Bill not only listens to what you say you want in your flowers, but he also takes the venue itself into consideration. So you may not get exactly what you asked for, but you get exactly what you need to work best in your space. He isn't afraid to challenge you to think differently about how your venue should be decorated. He also loves to surprise you with additions to match other aspects of your wedding, and with some of the flowers themselves. If you need to know EXACTLY what you are going to get ahead of time, his surprises may too stressful for you. But if you can have some faith in Bill, he really delivers!

We used Bill Hamilton for my recent wedding. We did not want very many flowers and had a tight budget but Bill was able to work with us. We had lovely bouquets for the girls that fir our theme and alter flowers and some center pieces. He made them work for our theme and venue which was not an easy task. He also stayed well within our budget. I would recommend him as a great florist for you wedding.
