About this vendor
The beautiful, historic 26 room, three story Bingham-Waggoner Estate is the perfect place to host your wedding and your reception. Picture your wedding in the ambiance of the Victorian era around 1900, surrounded by original furnishings and paintings. The history of the Estate began in 1852 when John Lewis, a saddle maker and supplier to the poineers heading west, built a six room home. George Caleb Bingham, artist, politician and military man, resided here for six years, until 1879 and painted "Order Number 11" in a studio on the Estate grounds. The final residents were the Waggoner family, midwest flour millers, who purchased the home in 1879, enlarging it to its current elegance. They resided on the Estate until 1976. The Estate is fully restored and gorgeous!

We had a great experience for our wedding at the Bingham Waggoner Estate! The grounds are so beautiful and perfect for our outdoor wedding. The price was more than fair. And our gu...
ests are still talking about how beautiful the venue was! The staff was wonderful and available at all times. It really was the best day and Bingham Waggoner was the perfect location for our day!
Cost is $200/hr., 4 hour minimum.
Toured this place today. Booked it today! We'll be doing a wedding open house there in August. No photo online does it justice. It is so beautifu...
l! We were wanting to decorate in vintage style anyway, and this place is already vintage! It is a fully furnished home, all from the 1800's. Hors d'oeuvres will be set up in the dining room, which is so beautifully decorated. Outdoors we will have chairs and pitchers of lemonade on the veranda, and dancing by the carriage barn. Can't wait!!
The Bingham-Waggoner Estate is a hidden gem! My fiancé and I couldn't find a decent location for an outdoor wedding that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg. We were ready to throw in t...
he towel and give up on the dream of an outdoor ceremony when we found this amazing historic mansion located a couple blocks from Independence Square.
The pictures on the web site don't do justice to how elegant the house and surrounding grounds really are. We knew as soon as we saw it that our decision had been made, and we never looked back. The price was amazing, the on-site coordinator was friendly and accommodating, and I didn't have to give up an outdoor wedding.
Some of the little things that really made a difference for our budget:
-We were allowed to bring in food from Sam's Club and arrange it ourselves.
-Rooms were provided on the second floor for the bridal party to get ready.
-On-site table and chair rental was WAY cheaper than using an outside source.
We couldn't have asked for a more perfect location for our wedding, or a more perfect price!
