re making your decision. After providing a detailed brief with the owner and agreeing to the services they failed on almost every point. We shared detailed requests for our specific tastes regarding a dj, band, photographer, officiant, flowers / decor and brunch during our call with the owner. After signing an agreement we were unexpected passed on to someone that responded like they had none of the details we just shared. It was like starting over. Our newly assigned planner went on vacation soon after and we almost immediately stalled the momentum we hoped to have created. With 7 months to plan we knew we needed to get ahead of as much as possible since vendors could have been already booked. Initially we were provided a bunch of generic vendors that had little to do with our tastes then we experienced slow replies, vendors that were the exact opposite style of our requests, vendors that were not local adding additional travel costs, vendors that were not even available, and this was not presented in a professional way with with something as simple as a spreadsheet with vendor information yet instead we received multiple sporadic emails with contacts making it difficult to review and compare. Multiple attempts were made to request a call with the owner yet they were either dismissed, ignored or delayed replies. We had the intent to resolve so move forward.  Lastly, we were told our latest emails went to spam despite having received our previous emails (from 2 separate addresses) before without error. Why would they all of a sudden now be filtered? Regardless, we understand emails could go to spam but as a business owner spam, one should be check spam consistently to make sure a client’s communication is lost? Always defensive and additional excuses regarding sick family members and other personal issues were presented. None of our concerns we shared in writing were genuinely addressed or resolved and only after we advised her we were no longer in need of her services did she bother to reply. We did our homework and expected better yet both have worked with many agencies planning and working events over the years. We’ve never been so ignored despite our patience and request to resolve. With 90 days out our confidence completely eroded we couldn’t imagine them managing our wedding day without poor communication, excuses, and leaving us to focus on everything but our wedding day. Initially the desire to secure our business was given the highest level of attention being quick to respond, join video and phone calls yet once we paid we were not managed with the same level of attention, detail and care we were sold.  As much as we wanted to resolve with them directly and now only left to part ways professionally, they want to charge us for their poor service and failure to deliver on their commitments. Where our detailed requests we shared not realistic to deliver with their experience? That’s a possibility but it’s why we took the time to go into detail and they should have filtered themselves out early in the conversation. We feel compelled to share our experience with the goal of warning others and risk of leaving one of their most important days of their lives in the hands of Birch & Honey Collective. If we could give zero stars we would.
