We are so happy that we hired Alex to photograph our wedding! From the first time we met, we could tell that Alex was so passionate about his role in the wedding day. Leading up to the wedding, he was super helpful in figuring out our timeline and was quick to answer questions. The day went perfectly and I knew they got amazing shots. We received so many compliments the next day on how friendly they were when taking family photos and how fun the white screen was. Our pictures are BEAUTIFUL. We also did the moments in motion, which is beautiful if you’re not looking for a full videographer. We did however ask family to video our dances so we would have them in full, because that is something you miss in only having highlights, so I am glad we did. If you’re wondering- we did find out that he also sends you full audio of the ceremony, which is great! Would highly recommend!

I cannot say enough about Alex and Nina. They’re the kind of people you want to be friends with! They were fun, professional, and super friendly. I loved being around them, and never felt awkward in front of the camera! We even belly laughed a few times! I recommend Birch Tree Photography to EVERYONE! :)

My best friend got married yesterday and Alex and Nina were so wonderful to work with - professional, entertaining and kind - they were able to make everyone in the wedding party relax which I’m sure will make for beautiful pictures. I have seen their work in the past when they worked at our venue and am so excited to see how yesterday’s photos turn out! Alex was amazing to work with! From our engagement shoot a year before the wedding all the way through our wedding day he was so kind, professional and helpful! We have had so many compliments on our wedding pictures and everyone speaks so highly of him and his work! In addition to the amazing pictures, he did moments in motion for us and I still can’t watch it without crying happy tears! He truly did a beautiful and amazing job at capturing our perfect day :)

Alex was very easy to work with and delivered amazing results! We used Birch Tree for our engagement and wedding photos. We could not have been more happy with the results. Alex is affordable, efficient, and gave us exactly what we wanted from the most important days of our lives. Would HIGHLY recommend having Alex capture your wedding day!! He did such an amazing and beautiful job and we love looking back at our pictures and our video! He was very attentive and got all the pictures we wanted. He makes you feel comfortable and relaxed during your session. The video was beautiful and really brings back all the emotions and feelings of the day. I would definitely recommend doing the video. It’s so nice to watch! I have gotten so many compliments on my pictures! They’re incredible! 10/10!

Working with Alex was a wonderfully unique experience. Living in California and organizing an Ohio wedding was difficult but communication was so easy. He made a deal with us to reimburse his usually included Engagement session considering a friend of ours had already shot it for us. And our photos...we cried...laughing. He is so good at capturing moments that just speak to the personalities of yourselves, your friends, your families. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my pictures from Alex! They turned out PHENOMENAL. He was real easy to work with as well! The day was hectic but I had no issues from him or Nikki. Alex also is very prompt on responding to any questions or concerns before the wedding (and after!) which I appreciated very much. He is pricey but absolutely worth it. If you're thinking about a photo booth, I would highly recommend it from Alex as well, it was so nice to have those aspects of the wedding combined and it was a hit with the guests. Would definitely recommend!

We loved Alex’s framing and editing style, which is what drew us to him in the first place. We really liked the more natural look and his work really speaks for itself! We met for coffee and we both felt it would be a great fit for our big day! Alex was awesome to work with from start to finish. He gave plenty of direction and offered a lot of advice which we very much appreciated. Even though the weather for our engagement photos wasn’t great, we all made the best of it and the photos came out perfect. The wedding day went so smoothly and with his direction we got so many awesome shots and everyone in our wedding party was so complimentary of him and how easy it was to work with him (as well as how organized he was!). We spoke to him multiple times leading up to our wedding day to ensure we had all the shots scheduled we wanted (i.e. photos with family, friends, etc.). The moments in motion video was definitely worth it for a nice overview of the day. We would definitely recommend Alex to anyone looking for a photographer for their big day!

Alex did a wonderful job capturing the story of our wedding day organically. they were the most important expense of the day! We were late to our engagement shoot and Alex went with the flow and still took the time to capture amazing images. We will always cherish these photos!

Alex photographed our wedding in June and he did an absolutely amazing job! Each moment was captured perfectly and he really is a great guy to work with! I would recommend his to anyone, 100%! We are now expecting our first child and I have already contacted him for maternity photos!

We were initially drawn to Alex because of his editing style. The photos on his site aren’t overlaid with tons of filters, and they all look very natural - just what we wanted for our day! We met for coffee and hit it off quickly and knew we wanted him to photograph our big day! Alex was amazing to work with from start to finish. He gave direction when taking photos and offered a lot of advice which we very much appreciated. The weather during our engagement photo session was less than ideal with rain, but the photos came out so great! On our wedding day, he made us and our entire wedding party feel so comfortable which made the day go by so smoothly! He was also great about gathering information to ensure he had a good idea/plan of what we liked and disliked. Our pictures and “moments in motion” video came out amazing, and we couldn’t be happier!

Alex photographed our wedding. The moment we met him we knew he was the one!!! He’s was attentive of our needs and made sure we got what we wanted. Always very communicative before and on our wedding day. The pictures turned out amazing! We were more than pleased with his work. Where do I even begin!?! Alex has been amazing from day one. Even though he was booked for the year, he kindly opened up our wedding date for us at the last minute. Since the first email, he has been a dream to work with! Easily the best experience of my entire wedding planning. It's not just a business to him. You can see how much he loves his job and how much passion he puts into it. In our first meeting, I loved how he wanted to know about us and our story. No other vendor that we met with did this. Since that meeting he was extremely prompt with emails and texts. We even had to reschedule the engagement pictures bc I was so worried about the weather and he was so accommodating. We were nervous at first because we had never had professional pictures taken before but in no time we felt so comfortable! It ended up being such a fun 2 hours climbing rocks, exploring a covered bridge, and Alex even climbed a tree to get some awesome shots! We cannot wait until our wedding in a couple weeks to see the beautiful pictures he captures of our day (ps...he has the sweetest wife and most adorable little boy!! We had the pleasure of meeting them at our first meeting. He is such a family man on top of his careers which makes this whole experience even better!) Edit: Our wedding day turned out beautiful! Hundreds of gorgeous pictures and the experience was amazing! Alex made the day run so smoothly, I couldn't of asked for a better photographer :)

When my husband and I got engaged, Alex was the first person who came to my mind to do our photos. His work is beautiful and very high quality. Alex himself is very professional and accommodating, as well as easy to work with. Our whole wedding party enjoyed working with him as well! My husband and I were both very pleased with our engagement and wedding photos.

Alex and his assistants are absolutely incredible. My wife and I hired him to do our engagement and wedding photos and we couldn't be happier. Alex is easily one of the most talented photographers in the business, but he is also really easy to work with. I'm definitely not a fan of getting in front of the camera, but Alex was really approachable and made the experience fun. Moreover, we were pretty particular about where we wanted our engagement photos (wanted snow, which never happened),but Alex was very accommodating with rescheduling. We got married on May 6th and Alex and his team were on point all day. They captured everything perfectly and the final product was exceptional. I shared the photos with some of my co-workers and many responded back saying "these are seriously the best wedding pictures I've ever seen" … and we got married in the rain! Alex was extremely professional at all times. He helped us plan out the shots, was efficient with time and got our pictures to us super fast. We price compared before selecting Alex and his price was lower than the competition and the quality is frankly 10x better than what we saw on other websites. I strongly recommend Alex for anyone looking for professional photography. He's top notch!

From the first email to now, Alex has been nothing but professional, accommodating and absolutely wonderful to work with. We couldn't be happier with the entire experience thus far. I found Alex randomly on a wedding resale site on Facebook and I am so thankful that I did. There are so many photographers out there and you really don't know what you will get until it’s done. Alex has such a unique style that is both modern and classic. He is so talented and his eye for detail really shows in his work. He is a true professional. On top of his high quality he is reasonably priced. Finally, aside from quality, him and Nina are just really nice people. On your big day you need someone who is relaxed and can interact with guests to get the best photos. They excel at this. I really can’t say enough good things about them!!!

I had a wonderful experience working with Alex for our wedding! He did an excellent job communicating and meeting our requests. He was flexible and did a wonderful job working with a large wedding party that included lots of kids. I got the pictures back so quickly and I love them! I would highly recommend him.

I just received our engagement pictures and they are amazing! Literally no words to describe how beautiful Alex's work is. It was so much fun working with him. He makes you feel so comfortable and captures the purest look of your relationship. He had many choices of locations to take pictures but I had one place I was set on and when I mentioned it to him he was able to think of our second location and make it possible. Waiting until next September for him to capture our wedding is going to be even more difficult now :)

My favorite vendor from my wedding day!! Alex is super kind and willing to listen to your ideas. His skill level is superb. He and Nina bared a freezing cold day in Ohio City with us to get the perfect shots for our engagement shoot. I was just married on June 10th, and within days I saw a couple of photos posted on instagram. A real treat since I was not expecting anything for a couple of weeks and they were phenomenal! I just received my sneak peak with over 100 shots on Monday. Can you say awesome turnaround time. Those photos blew me away. I can't stop looking at them. I cannot wait to get the rest!

Alex has been amazing to work with. Since our first meeting he has gone above and beyond what I could have ever expected. I think we rescheduled our engagement shoot three or four times to make sure the weather was exactly what we wanted. I was so nervous for our engagement shoot, but he made it so easy. He was so responsive throughout the wedding planning process and made sure we were getting what we expected from the photos. There are no words to describe how beautiful the pictures are. Birch Tree Photography is the best decision you can make when planning your wedding.

Alex and Nina are extremely accommodating, professional, and friendly. They made us feel comfortable from the beginning. They helped suggesting ideas but also listening and and taking in our ideas. They kept us cool and collective the day of the wedding by being friendly and fun. I love Alex's creativity with his photos..big details and small details- he doesn't miss a beat. Alex is not only an amazing photographer but an incredible person as well.
