I truly cannot say enough good things about working with Nicke. From the very beginning, she took all of my ideas for our Valentine's Day wedding and somehow turned them into something even better than I had pictured in my head.
I knew I wanted something romantic, dramatic and a little different - lots of red, black, candlelight, roses and a true Valentine's feel without it becoming cheesy and she absolutely understood the vision. Walking into our ceremony and reception spaces for the first time was one of my favorite moments of the entire day. The florals, candles, chandeliers, tables, dance floor and all of the little details came together so beautifully and felt completely us.
Beyond how incredible everything looked, having her there meant I could actually enjoy my wedding. There are SO many details and moving parts behind the scenes that you don't realize until you're planning one, and I never felt like I needed to be worrying about what was happening next or whether something was being handled. I could just be the bride, be with Chad, enjoy our family and friends, and take it all in.
Looking back through our photos now, I'm still blown away by how beautifully everything came together. She didn't just help us plan a wedding - she helped create an entire experience and atmosphere that we'll remember forever.
I'm incredibly grateful for all of the time, patience, creativity and work that went into making our day what it was. If you're considering hiring a wedding planner, do it, and if you have the opportunity to work with Birdie, you're in very good hands. ❤️

- Nicke BrownBirdie - OwnerWhen I was little, my parents lovingly nicknamed me Nicke Bird. This is where Birdie began. My sweet mom had her own wedding business, and in honor of her passing away, I felt Birdie was the perfect name for my little company. After college, I decided a career as a serial entrepreneur sounded fantastic, having started my first business in 1996 in corporate branding. Since then, I have followed my passions in holistic health pathways. Weddings were always my way to be creative and someone is always getting married. I worked at a top wedding venue for 6 years and loved every minute of it, the brides, the beautiful florals... that first dance.... So swoon-worthy! Leaving there is where Birdie starts. Fly Little Birdie! Fly! I created Birdie Weddings+Things to serve you on your Very Best Day, the months leading up to it, and to help guide you through the decisions that will truly make it Your Day.
