Betty and Maggie were so incredible! We feel beyond grateful to have them photograph our wedding. They captured our day so perfectly and we loved every photo. Not only did they take beautiful pictures, but they were the absolute best to work with. They were so supportive and kind throughout the whole day and which made us feel so much better about being in front of the camera. Betty and Maggy are so fun to be around and made it feel like our good friends were just hanging out with us all day taking pictures of us. All of our friends, some who aren't even engaged yet, have already told us they want Birds of Feather to photograph their wedding after seeing them at ours.

We were so lucky to have Maggie and Betty as our photographers. Not only are our photos stunning, but they were amazing people to work with. Our engagement shoot had to be rescheduled multiple times due to weather, and they were very accommodating and helpful in suggesting alternative dates/locations for us. They were more than happy to include our dog in the engagement photos, and did a great job at photographing her as well. On our wedding day, Maggie and Betty were a joy to have around. They are calm, fun, and professional. They gave us great direction and made it easy for us behind the camera. We couldn’t have been happier. 100% recommend!

Betty and Maggie and the epitome of professional. From their planning to their execution to their amazing photos, we couldn't imagine going through the wedding experience with anyone else. Their experience in the DC area helped determine good locations for our first look and portraits. Despite some challenges like a changed date and venue and a very crowded Lincoln Memorial, everything went perfectly and they are the reason why! Cannot say enough good things about the lovely Betty and Maggie. They were truly unbelievable on our wedding day and throughout the entire process. They're both incredibly sweet and cool people (mom and daughter) and really felt like family who truly cared about making our wedding day a success. Throughout the entire process they were really fantastic. I planned our wedding by myself (ambitious I know) and they were super responsive to all my emails with questions, proposed timelines, etc. Maggie took the time to walk through my proposed day of timeline with me on quite a long phone call and pointed out considerations I hadn't thought of like timing of flowers, first look, importance of getting makeup done on time, and more. From the engagement shoot we knew right away that we picked the right team! My husband is not super into having his photo taken and they made him look like a natural and the pictures were gorgeous. By the time the wedding came he was well trained (HIGHLY recommend doing an engagement shoot!). On the day of the wedding, we felt like we were with in the absolute best hands. They kept the show running and orchestrated the first look amazingly. Can't say enough about how wonderful they were and how much fun I had doing couple's portraits! In terms of the actual photos we received, they were STUNNING! Just look at their body of work, which speaks for itself. When I browsed their website and IG page I immediately fell in love with their style that captures the beauty of the day and all the wonderful emotions that come with it! They gave us a good amount of photos really quickly after the wedding (I think it was 1-2 days or sooner) which I wasn't even expecting that quickly, but so nice! When we got the full album back, I was so happy. The portraits were beyond gorgeous and we got a great mix of the atmosphere of the day and pictures of our family and friends too. I'm glad I invested in their photography because these are pictures I'll look back on forever. I did A LOT of research on DC area photographers and just trust me when I say you will absolutely not regret booking with these wonderful ladies! They will make you feel so at ease during the day (worth its weight in gold) and you'll get amazing photos. I will think fondly of them forever :) Thank you SO much Maggie and Betty!

Maggie and her team were such an awesome part of our big day! Despite the rain, they kept things super positive and fun and got the most AMAZING photos. Hate being in front of the camera? Not to worry because Maggie provides the simplest cues to make everything look so genuine and just flat out real. They captured all the best moments of the day and were so flexible and adaptable to the weather and venue. Not to mention that they worked extremely well with our videographer team and always communicated well. Overall, we are so thankful that we chose Birds of a Feather photography and we love that we get to relive our big day over and over again through their incredible photos.

Betty and Maggie are not only the best photographers but they are the kindest people as well. Working with this mother daughter team was a dream. They took the best engagement photos and put me and my fiancé at ease the entire time. Our wedding was this past Saturday and two days later we’ve already received a quick preview. We are OBSESSED with the preview and cannot wait to see the full album. They helped us set up the timeline and did an amazing job of quickly getting every single shot we wanted. We stayed on schedule the entire day and were able to relax and enjoy ourselves. They were flexible and helped us come up with a rain plan the week of our wedding, completely calming any nerves I had about the possibility of thunder storms on our wedding day. We found Maggie and Betty by first falling in love with photos from a wedding they had done previously. Their photos were romantic and soft, with a classic/classy feel that somehow captures both life and a memory all at the same time. We had a one hour initial consultation with them, where we immediately discovered that the life and love they bring to their photos is mirrored perfectly by who they are as people, and how they live their lives. Maggie and Betty are full of energy, extraordinarily professional, more talented than almost anyone you will meet at their craft, and infinitely creative. Most good photographers have a creative eye, but the way Maggie and Betty work together to capture both the formal, posed photos… as well as the unstaged “life as it happens” photos is magical. During our engagement shoot, which they added as a complementary addition to our package, we saw their talents firsthand. Neither my husband nor I consider ourselves to be very photogenic people. We love to smile, but that doesn’t always translate well into photographs. Somehow, Maggie and Betty captured the absolute best of us, together and individually, and also made us feel extraordinarily special. We just received our wedding photo album in the last week, as well. And they did it again— except somehow a million times better. They captured every single facet of our big day. And then some. Despite the stress and chaos you feel on your wedding, they figured out a way to capture every moment of beauty. Of joy. They captured the laughter, the hugs, the crazy facial expressions, the antics of our family kiddos, the dancing, and mostly… the memories we will look back on for a lifetime. We cannot recommend Maggie and Betty more highly. If you are blessed enough to have them shoot your wedding, there is no world where you will find yourself unhappy with the results they create. I did not have a backup photography team in place in case Betty and Maggie were not available because I knew I would change my date to make sure they could photograph my wedding! That is how confident I am in their abilities. Betty and Maggie are so easy to work with and make taking photos feel natural to someone who has never taken professional photos. If I could give these ladies more than 5 stars I would. They were exceptional in every way. I would recommend them to everyone! They're a mother-daughter team that works perfectly together. They make sure to take photos of everything, not just the people, which I really appreciate. I worked hard on my decorations! My wedding reception was delayed due to covid, so we asked if they were willing to take pictures of our mini ceremony instead of engagement photos (which we didn't need anyway). Not only did they agree, they were there for up to 2 hours taking photos for us. It really made our ceremony special, despite it being much smaller than we originally envisioned. Also, the pictures were stunning! Last weekend we worked together again (nearly a year after the mini ceremony) for our big reception. I'm so thankful I was able to work with them again. They were so sweet, professional, and just an absolute joy to work with. I haven't received these pictures yet (it's only been a couple days, the delay is normal), but I can't wait to see them!! One important benefit of hiring birds of a feather is they let you have all digital rights. This means I have digital copies of ALL pictures, and I can do whatever I want with them! I sent some to be printed at CVS to frame after the wedding. I also added them to our wedding website. If I want to, I could even make my own printed photo book! The possibilities are endless, but it's so nice to have this freedom. Thank you so much Betty and Maggie for making both weddings so wonderful! We love Birds of a Feather Photography! Maggie and Betty were so amazing to work with. They were quick to respond to our questions and set up a fantastic (and thorough) timeline to make sure we were able to get through all of our photos - we even ran ahead of schedule most of the day! We originally worked with Betty and Maggie for our engagement shoot in 2019 and were blown away by the quality of their photographs and how effortless the whole shoot felt. We planned to get married in Hawaii in 2020, but COVID-19 had other plans. Instead, we ended up planning a June 2021 wedding in DC in a total venue switch. Maggie and Betty were a dream team. From the very first call, they were incredibly knowledgeable, organized, and incredibly thorough in their questions. We first worked with them during a very hot 95+ degree day in DC for our engagement shoot and the pictures were incredible. They made us feel comfortable in front of the cameras, offered tips to create better pictures, and kept the whole experience lighthearted and fun. For our wedding, they showed up hours early to look around for areas that would be good for first look and pre-wedding pictures and helped the entire team of other vendors stay organized because they knew exactly what they were doing and when they were doing. We were so happy with how everything turned out and the beautiful heirloom album they created after was also pretty incredible! We highly recommend them and know you will not be disappointed.

WOW!! We are just blown away by Betty and Maggie. Photography for our wedding was one of my BIG things that we wanted to be JUST PERFECT. I met Betty and Maggie at a wedding expo and had the best feeling about them.. We set up a more formal meeting to go over everything and immediately we felt welcome and felt excited at the opportunity to have them. As soon as we booked they sent us the most gorgeous welcome package which was just above and beyond! Shortly after, we had our engagement photos which were just simply Amazing. We were quite nervous about taking portraits and both Betty and Maggie made us felt SO COMFORTABLE and we had an absolute blast taking photos with them! The photos came out better than I could have imagined. I was completely blown away by how quickly we received them and how stellar they looked! Before our wedding we received another beautiful package from Betty and Maggie to help us get excited for the big day-- Does it get any better?! Wedding day was absolutely perfect and a lot of that had to do with these amazing photographers. There is no one that could have captured our day more exquisitely than Maggie and Betty of Birds of a Feather Photography. They were excellent from the start. I first met them a little over a year before our wedding. I wanted the best and I quickly realized that I had not only found that, but also kindred spirits. Betty and Maggie were more than we could have ever imagined! From our first meeting, we knew immediately we had to have them as our wedding photographers! They made us feel so comfortable and at ease throughout the entire process. Betty and Maggie of Birds of a Feather are two amazing women who happen to be photographers...and damn good ones at that! Peter and I first met with the pair on a Sunday afternoon. What was supposed to be a 30 minute or so meet and greet ended up being an hour plus of us chatting as though we’d known each other for years! We knew right then and there that they were “our people”. We stopped halfway down the stairs from their office, walked back in, and signed the contract that day. We live in NJ, but got married in DC and they were beyond flexible with scheduling our engagement shoot in DC. On our wedding day, we literally could not have had a better experience with them. We gave them our schedule and they did the rest. We felt zero pressure to get pictures done, yet got every single shot we wanted. The other thing that we LOVED was that during the course of our day, hundreds of photos taken, we never once felt like we were having our picture taken. They blended into the background and our day felt like it was just us. And the final product? AMAZING!! I’m so happy to have had the opportunity to work with Betty and Maggie. They truly are the most genuine, kind, and talented individuals. Oh! Did I mention that this mother/daughter duo support charities and stand against social injustices?? Well they do! These two are truly awesome and we cannot wait to continue our relationship with them for years to come!

From the very first time we spoke with Betty on the phone, my husband and I knew that Birds of a Feather was the perfect duo to capture our very special day. Living in Miami and planning a small, intimate wedding within 6 months was a bit of a stress... but what we did not have to worry about was our photos. From the moment they arrived at the hotel to take our behind the scenes picture, Betty and Maggie were like ninjas! They had it all planned. They captured every detail and really worked around our space. They also reminded me that this was a day about us and to take it all in and just enjoy the moment. Some things didn't go as planned, but we look back at it now and all we have are joyful memories filled with laughter. It was a very COLD ceremony with wind gusts so strong my veil almost fell off. However, Betty and Maggie did not let that get in the way and were on board with our requests... until my husband and I decided it was way too cold to continue being outside and just wanted to rush to the restaurant to enjoy the rest of the evening. All in all, we are beyond grateful and fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with Maggie and Betty. Also, the turnaround time for the photos was spectacular! Nothing compared to what we hear about other companies that take months to deliver. The service these two deliver are second to none!!

Photography was one of the things that was really important to us during wedding planning, since the photos of the day will last forever and allow you to relive it over and over again. Betty and Maggie were amazing and captured our day so perfectly. Similar to the bride below, Birds of a Feather was the only photographer we met with and we booked them immediately. I really wanted a more photojournalism style, with minimal posed photos, and really didn't like the overly blown out wedding photos I saw on a lot of sites. I felt like Maggie really got what we were looking for immediately in our first phone call. Their photos of our wedding are authentic and intimate and fun. From setting our entire day-of timeline before the wedding (a HUGE burden off my shoulders since we didn't have a planner) to being so calming when wedding day jitters inevitably set in, my husband and I couldn't have been happier. We also got comments from guests about how wonderful they were (seriously, have you ever been a guest at a wedding where you've even noticed the photographers? They are that good.) On the day of the wedding, my make up artist was running very behind schedule due to traffic. Before I even knew what was happening, Betty and Maggie had already talked to her and adjusted to make sure the whole day ran smoothly. On your wedding day, you do not want to be stressed about anything and must hire vendors you completely trust. Birds of a Feather was exactly that.

When we started looking around for our photographer for our wedding, we found Betty and Maggie through a wonderful friend and loved their work and we knew Birds of a Feather were the best in the field. Picking Birds of A Feather to be our wedding photographers was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! I call them the Dream Team! They made us feel right at home, and treated us like family. They think of every single detail and shot to take. They even go the extra mile by sending you a welcome gift when you sign with them and near the wedding they sent us a movie date night box to help us destress. Besides the fact that they are sweethearts their photography is exceptional, you can't beat it! You won't regret picking them to capture your love on your wedding day. My wedding was a dream come true thanks to Birds of a Feather. The reputation they have for being the best is well deserved. When everything else went wrong, this duo went above and beyond. This mother daughter duo was amazing to work with! My husband and I are active duty military living in Florida and they made everything run smoothly. Choosing Maggie and Betty as our wedding photographers was the easiest decision of our entire wedding planning process. From the moment we sat down with them at their office for an initial meeting they felt like family! They were so helpful day of in calming us down when things got stressful and making sure the day ran smoothly. We could not be more thrilled with the photos we received and the most gorgeous wedding album!

From our very first visit to their studio, Betty and Maggie gave us the PERFECT wedding experience. They walked our family through the options that were available to us, showed us examples of their recent work and--most importantly--made us feel completely at home. They even recommended additional photographers for us to look into, but there was no need for that. My wife and I knew right away that we had found who we wanted to be there for our special day. Weddings are emotion-filled occasions, and there are lots of tiny moments where you and your soon-to-be (or just-become) spouse share a special moment together. Betty and Maggie are not only the perfect team because they so unobtrusively capture those moments on camera, but because they feel like family and help create those moments for you. How does one even begin to "review" Betty & Maggie? I had been eyeing their photography up for a few years before we were even engaged and so it only made sense to reach out to them to photograph our wedding when the time came. My husband was less than thrilled about wedding planning, but walking out of our first sit down with them over donut holes and albums, we both wholeheartedly agreed that they were our "people." Photography was one of our priorities and let me tell you, we did not go wrong. Their skill level and personalities are equally incredible. They managed to get perfect pictures of our insane dog actually looking at the camera, dealt with nutty family & friends at the wedding, and made us look more photogenic than we ever have in our lives. Birds of a Feather Photography was an absolute dream to work with! From the moment we contacted them, we knew that they were something special, and boy were we right! In the early stages of booking they were so responsive, knowledgeable and professional. Upon booking we received the most thoughtful welcome package, and in the months leading up to our wedding we received more gifts from them---what a nice touch! We had a beautiful engagement session and they were super flexible as we had to reschedule several times due to weather. As our wedding approached, Birds of a Feather helped us find the perfect place to shoot photos, helped with our day of timeline, and worked with us to get the necessary park permits. On the day of the wedding they visited the location ahead of time to scout out the best places to take photos---talk about going above and beyond! They showed up to meet us early and were SO delightful to work with throughout the day. They remained calm amongst the chaos that a wedding inevitably creates and wrangled our bridal party/family members to make sure that all the necessary photos were captured. Betty even had a boot on due to a foot injury, but bless her heart you would have never known! Like a true champ, she was running underneath my veil to flip it up in the air to create the perfect floating veil shot. Throughout the day they kept us laughing and periodically checked in with me to ensure that they were capturing everything I wanted. They got so many photos of our venue which was greatly appreciated, and even went around to some of our friends and family and took pictures of people sitting at their tables. I am so grateful to Birds of a Feather for capturing so many moments from our special day, some of which I never even knew about until I saw the photos. In addition to all the wonderful stuff I've noted, we received our full album (HUNDREDS of pictures) less than 2 weeks after our wedding, while we were on our honeymoon---talk about quick turn around! Booking Birds of a Feather was one of the best wedding planning decisions we made and we are SO grateful to have worked with them on our special day!

Maggie & Betty went above and beyond to make our wedding day exactly what we hoped it would be. Their interpersonal style is warm and caring, and they easily make you feel comfortable and like you can just be yourself around them. Maggie really went out of her way to make sure our wedding ceremony and accompanying photography happened as we envisioned it, even when things didn't go as planned. It's clear they will do whatever they can to help clients have an amazing wedding. Most importantly, our wedding pictures (and the engagement shoot - highly recommend!!) reflect us as a couple and are beautiful, timeless, classic, and professional images that we will cherish always. On the business side, they are very responsive to email, and they had so many personal extras that really made our whole experience special. Finally, their turnaround time was amazing - we had our full album back before most people would expect highlight photos! Highly recommend for any wedding in the DC metro area or beyond!

Hiring Betty and Maggie was one of the first decisions we made once we started wedding planning, and doing so was also one of the easiest - they were the only photographers we even met with! You can obviously see the quality of their work from their portfolio, but beyond that, they bring an amazing energy and so clearly love what they do. We decided to hire them before we even got to our car after first meeting with them. Working with them on the wedding day (as well as for the engagement session and every exchange we had with them over the many months leading up to the wedding), it was clear we had made the right choice - they are calm, funny, and oh-so-competent, and somehow manage to get great photos out of people who HATE having their photos taken (ahem, my dad). The photos we now have of our day are beautiful! If Maggie and Betty are available on your date, just book them, they are true gems.

My husband and I initially met with Betty and Maggie in May of 2017 following our engagement as we began diving into wedding planning. We knew immediately that they were the photographers for us! The best duo!! The DC area has so many photographers to choose from, that we were overwhelmed when we first started looking. We decided to reach out to our venue's partner list and came across Birds of a Feather. They immediately stood out to us from the beautiful pictures on the website and decided to reach out and meet with them. Betty and Maggie were so warm and welcoming from the start and we felt so comfortable with them after meeting at their office. They were super flexible with their package and accommodating our needs. Before the wedding, they sent us a super thoughtful gift at the perfect time while we were crazy stressed with wedding planning. At the wedding, they were both fierce and took charge in the best way. We got the most incredible pictures even with limited time (we did not do a first look) and there was seriously not one bad picture! We are so in love with all of the pictures and are SO glad we decided to work with Birds of a Feather! By far our favorite vendor we used!

When my fiancé and I started searching for our photographer we wanted someone who would be just as invested in our day as we were, someone who shared our wedding day vision, and someone we naturally got along with and felt connected to (all on top of providing quality photos!). Birds of a Feather came up right away at the top of the page, and one look at their website and I just knew! They blew me away with their story and with their absolutely beautiful photographs, and all this without even meeting them yet! When we met Betty and Maggie they greeted us with smiling faces and sweet treats and we talked non-stop for probably 2 hours! They’re warm, kind, and genuinely excited about what they do, and I immediately felt like I knew them. We left even more excited about our big day, and my fiancé knew from the look on my face that we weren't going to look into anyone else. They were it! This mother-daughter duo have a connection that no other photographer can give you - they seem to just read each other’s mind when shooting and it is just pure MAGIC to see and be a part of. They made us feel so relaxed, especially with a fiancé who is definitely not used to having his picture taken. We had the best day with them and hope they did too! When my wife and I planned our wedding, a piece of advice that was consistently offered was to not "skimp on the photography." We agreed to watch our budget but we understood that these pictures would last a lifetime and serve as the touchstone for a wonderful moment as we dedicated our lives to each other. Betty and Maggie captured the crucial moments like our first kiss but also photographed, with subtlety, the little moments that we didn't even see. The bashful smiles of my two nieces or my parents dancing together when they thought nobody else was watching... Birds of a Feather Photography got everything. Betty and Maggie were recommended by one of my coworkers so we arranged a meeting early on a Sunday morning. After just a few moments of small talk, my wife was completely at home with them. She said that meeting Betty and Maggie for the first time was like “catching up with an old friend that you haven't seen in ages -- everything falls right back into place, like no time has passed at all.” As a typical groom, I was prepared to say "Yes, dear" and acquiesce to my soon-to-be wife's suggestion. But I also felt at ease with Maggie and Betty, who seemed like old friends. Additionally, my wife and I are both very close to our families, so we appreciated and enjoyed the mother/daughter duo. We walked to our car and immediately agreed that we should ask them to work with us on our special day. On our wedding day, we were nervous about the weather (it rained), the logistics (not everyone followed directions), and things outside of our control (my brother was late) but we never had to consider our photographers. Betty and Maggie had everything under control. Even when our chaplain conducting the ceremony forgot to say "You may kiss the bride," Maggie gave us a quick look as we proceeded down the aisle and we got the first kiss right there! They always seemed to know what was missing. From a groom's perspective, Betty and Maggie made me feel at ease. I don't smile easily and I usually stay out of the spotlight, but they allowed me to find my niche. Everything was on our terms and we knew that our pictures would turn out great! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ And from a bride’s perspective, I wholeheartedly echo my husband’s sentiments above. I absolutely loved working with Betty and Maggie – they are responsive, laid back, attentive, and warm. From ensuring everything ran smoothly on our wedding day (Betty tracked down or marriage license I had misplaced), to sending us thoughtful notes/gifts throughout our engagement, Betty and Maggie were simply amazing. Betty and Maggie deserve more than 5 stars. They did an AMAZING job in documenting our wedding. Not only did they spend the day documenting our special day, they even prevented us from being late. When it was discovered that the dry cleaners had forgot to include the studs for my Husband's shirt, Betty stepped in to help attach the spare buttons we found and saved the day! Their time management, attention to detail, and professionalism was impeccable, taking every possible step to ensure the best possible pictures were obtained without occupying an excessive amount of our time on our big day. I fell in love instantly with their style, method, and delivery before I met them; but what happened after I finally did meet them will be forever engraved in my heart. As a mother/daughter team, they become part of your story. From the first meeting talking about wedding day details, how you want your day to be remembered, how you and your fiancé met, and small side conversations to make you leave feeling like you’ve known these incredibly sweet people your whole life – to the nervous because it’s probably your first time being professionally photographed yet very exciting engagement session – to the last crazy few months leading up to the wedding day – to the wedding day itself – they are with you. Betty and Maggie are there to help put the joy back in planning; to help calm those nerves and make you feel natural in front of a camera; to help ease your timeline worries; and to help capture one of the most important days in your lives so you can actually enjoy all of it. Not only do they photograph with gusto, but it’s why they photograph with gusto. They’re not just pictures that they’re handing over to you at the end of the day. It’s memories – YOUR memories.

My now-wife and I had a great experience working with Betty and Maggie! Here are some things we noted while working with them: - Great coordination and communication: We booked them about 11 months before our wedding, so there was a long time between our first meeting and the big day, but I didn't really feel like we were ever out of touch with them. They checked in throughout the year and made sure we were considering everything we needed to (first look, photo location, etc.). There was a lot to be worked out for everything, so it was nice to feel like they were on top of the photography part, and we didn't need to worry about that. We also got a number of surprise gifts throughout the year and after the wedding, which we were not expecting and were great surprises! - Good attitude and dedication: If you work with Betty and Maggie, you'll see soon enough that they are fully dedicated to making sure the photography experience is smooth and that you get everything you want in the end. On the day of the wedding, they are pretty tenacious in getting the photos you want and making sure you'll be happy with all the moments you can't do over. - Great quality work and photos: We really couldn't be happier with the photos! We got a great multitude of photos covering almost everything imaginable. Heaven knows how many they actually took, given how many they touched up and gave to us at the end! We've put those photos on Facebook and gotten a number of compliments on how beautiful the wedding was, because the photographs were so well done. A number of people told us they were the most beautiful wedding photos they've ever seen. - Speed of post-wedding work: Our wedding was 9 December, so we especially appreciated that we had a fair number of photos on Betty and Maggie's blog just a week or so after the wedding, and we had all of them ready by the time we traveled home for Christmas, which meant we were able to show them to our families in person. Also, see the bullet point above about quality and realize that it was done on pretty tight timelines. - Very competitive pricing: Looking for vendors is overwhelming, and even my wife did not have the energy to keep going for long. We looked at a small handful of photographers, so we don't have the biggest base for a full comparison, but Betty and Maggie were actually the most affordable photographers we looked at, I think. To get the great service and quality at the best price is a dream. As you quickly find out, every vendor you talk to will have a list of other vendors they recommend or have worked with before. Betty and Maggie, based in southern Maryland, gave us the key insight that you can often get the same quality at a lower price with vendors that live outside DC and are willing to work in the city. We worked with both their recommended florist and baker, and we were very happy with both! The lesson here is that Betty and Maggie know quality people in your other categories who work at a lower price point than basically anyone you'll find in DC. Overall, we were very happy with Betty and Maggie. We definitely recommend them for your ceremony!

I cannot say enough how much we enjoyed working with Birds of a Feather. They were sweet, kind, attentive, prepared, talented, responsive and everything you would want in your wedding photographers. We met Betty and Maggie at a Wedding Expo in Fairfax, VA and I knew instantly I wanted them to photograph our wedding. I was instantly drawn to their booth and we clicked instantly. When we pitched the idea that we were thinking of doing a Sunday brunch wedding, they were all in and were excited to photograph the wedding where other photographers seemed to be scared off by the idea of a daytime wedding because of the light. But Betty and Maggie accepted the challenge of a daytime wedding and we were beyond pleased with the results! They arrived an hour early on the day of our wedding and came prepared with umbrellas due to the possibility of rain. They had a calming presence during the morning chaos of getting ready. They kept our wedding party on schedule throughout the picture session and handled any hiccups with poise and humor. Our pictures are stunning (even for a daytime wedding) and still look at them all the time! These wonderful ladies are more than just wedding photographers, they will become your friends and people you can rely on throughout the wedding planning process. We feel truly part of the flock as we chose Maggie and Betty as our wedding photographers. After three previous weddings of coworkers, all of which hired Maggie and Betty, we felt it was an easy choice as we were so familiar with their style and fantastic imagery, as well as my coworkers endlessly positive reviews. Maggie and Betty were willing to work with us and do our engagement photos amongst blue bells in Manassas despite it being a hike for them, and they happily worked with us and our long list of requested day-of-wedding photos. Amongst all of this, we received care packages from them that came at the perfect time during our stressful wedding planning. We truly felt cared for and cherished. Beside this, our photos came out so splendidly and we have recommended them to countless family and friends. I cannot recommend these two wonderful photographers enough. I feel so lucky to have met them and been able to work with them! From the first meeting and now after the wedding, they have been so warm and helpful. Planning the wedding and coordinating the timing for all the vendors was stressful, but I was never stressed about working with Betty and Maggie, they made everything easy.
