Upon signing, Jess made another trip to our wedding venue in Scottsdale to assure we discussed timelines and locations where to shoot. Jess and Genie were very punctual with time, and submitted all teasers and edited shots on time per their commitment to us. Jess is focused towards getting the right shots, and the end product is amazing with his artistic touch incorporating key elements around your venue. Flipping through different vendors, you’ll immediately see the difference in their shots and use of lighting. With Jess and Genie, you’re going to get an experienced husband and wife pair who are highly professional, and love what they do. Last, one of the highlights of our experience was doing a remote “day after session” with Jess. The shots we took in Sedona are unreal, and unlike any traditional wedding day shots you’ll ever get!

g. We planned this wedding from Texas, so we made sure to look at a ton of photographer’s websites. We spent a few days reviewing photos and narrowing down photographers that we wanted to speak with. When we spoke with Jess & Genie of Birdsong Wedding Photography on the phone, they were both extremely nice and very down to earth. We decided to go with Jess & Genie because after speaking with them on the phone and looking at their work online, we felt like they would do a pronominal job and really groove with our personalities. When they arrived on the day of the wedding they were so relaxed and confident, getting every picture we wanted and then some. We had a somewhat strange timeline given different venues for ceremony and reception, and Jess & Genie were flexible and easy to work with as we moved around during the day. I made a lot of the details for the wedding, and they made sure to capture all those great details while still getting tons of private photos of my husband and I following the ceremony, along with the first look and wedding party photos we wanted. Both Jess & Genie are fun, energetic and totally organized. They made everyone feel calm and were willing to direct us to get everything taken care of. Our photos from the day are absolutely perfect. They truly captured the emotion of the day with both their candid and unscripted photos. Everyone looked beautiful and I couldn’t be happier with our family portraits and fun candid’s from the day. g. It’s been a year since our wedding and my biggest regret is hiring Jess/ Birdsong as a photographer. Unless you are getting married on a rock in Sedona, seek somewhere else. They view is the only thing they’ve ever had going for them. That seems to be the only good shot they get. I excitingly and patiently waited almost 5 months to get my wedding photos. Trust me. I really believed they could get a beautiful photo to frame at my house. I don’t have ONE Single wedding photo or engagement photo printed in my house. They aren’t good. Even the edited ones. The venue suggested different photographers and they were really good but I was hoping with what I saw here they would be good too. They really did not capture any good shots. I should have known during the engagement shoot, Jess said he had an awesome place is flagstaff in mind and when we got there- my husband said “This isn’t us at all.” He also didn’t like the vibe. I had issues then and my husband and I gave them benefit of the doubt and said “awesome thanks”. Let’s go to the wedding day. As a bride, it’s your big day! Genie was awesome, Jess stressed me out and a few of my wedding guests- his energy was not good. He didn’t get any of the shots I sent him that I wanted the day of with family members. He was frantic and really put a stink on the best day of our life. He didn’t have a creative vibe for the venue at all! I’ve never told them this because I don’t want to feel Jess’ heat. Trust me, you voice your opinion kindly on what you like once and he will have attitude. I posted a review back in August and since deleted because it wasn’t honest and I just wanted to make them happy because they were pushing to have me review but I’m writing it now because I’m still devastated. -CT
