n my family and his, and from the moment we saw Bishops Bay we knew it would be perfect. We actually planned the majority of the wedding while he was living in Illinois and I was in California but Janet, the event coordinator, did such a wonderful job planning everything that we weren't stressed at all. Our guests could not stop telling us how perfect and beautiful the venue was. It has a great mix of different features - a beautiful outdoor area for the ceremony and cocktail hour right on the lake (and overlooking the capitol), and elegant dining area, and a more rustic-feeling patio where we had our dance. The food was absolutely delicious and they have a great selection - I really don't think you could go wrong with any of the appetizers or entrees. From start to finish, I thought everything was just perfect. All the staff at Bishops Bay was so friendly and helpful and really helped make our wedding amazing. I cannot say enough great things about this venue and we are so happy we chose to have our wedding there!
