Brittany took a $550 payment for a gift card for pictures and when the person who I gave the gift to tried to cash it in for a photoshoot, she did not responded. She has also avoid...
ed all calls and emails for 2-months - she clearly does not intend to honor the gift card.
It is possible she went out of business and does not take photos anymore, but she effectively stole the $550.
Strongly recommend avoiding this photographer if she does come back.
Brittany photographed our engagement photos, our tiny elopement ceremony, and (one year later) our big wedding with friends and family. So we've had quite a journey together and we...
like to think of Brittany as part of the family at this point! From the very beginning, she made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. She manages to stage a photo without it looking or feeling stage-y. But she's also got a great eye for catching impromptu moments and opportunities. The proof is in the picture pudding -- we absolutely loved what she delivered. We also had numerous guests at our wedding comment specifically on how awesome she was to have around -- fun and never intrusive. When it came time for family photos, she was organized and lightning fast -- so that we could go enjoy cocktail hour. If we decide to celebrate our marriage a third time we will absolutely be hiring Brittany!
Brittany was a great photographer for our wedding! We did an engagement shoot with her, which helped us figure out what kinds of photos we wanted from the wedding. She knows the L...
os Angeles area well and was able to suggest locations for the engagement shoot. She also had some great insights when we were figuring out the wedding day timeline. On the wedding day Brittany was friendly, helpful, fun, and totally professional!
TLDR version: Brittany was a great photographer, for an affordable price, who was low stress, high-energy, and incredibly easy to work with. We absolutely recommend her to anyone f...
or an event.
We asked our wedding coordinator (Allie at Pop the Champagne, who is also great) for recommendations, and she suggested Brittany. She was local, living in the same neighborhood as us and our venue, and she was a bit cheaper than others that we had found online, so we reached out and scheduled a meeting with her.
We did an introduction at a local coffee shop, and we took the better part of an hour just getting to know one another. Brittany asked us lots of questions about how we met and what our life was like, all before we ever got into the nuts and bolts of the wedding photography. There were certain photography tropes that we didn't like (photos of rings, shoes, getting dressed, looking into the distance), and she listened carefully to these concerns and never tried to convince us to do anything we didn't want to do. She brought out a couple wedding books to show us her work in more detail, walking through how she'd work at the ceremony. We pretty immediately felt comfortable with her.
After our meeting, we knew we had to go with Brittany. Both of us are camera shy, so we told her we didn't want to do (or pay for) an engagement shoot. But it was included in the whole package (which was still less than other photographers had quoted us), and she convinced us (but never pressured us) to give it a go -- mostly as a way to practice being photographed (which, it turns out, was needed). We discussed over email the details of the engagement session, and ended up deciding to do the shoot at our house, where we were both comfortable. Brittany came by, took a ton of photos both inside and outside, and made us feel comfortable posing and smiling the entire time. It was both very weird and exciting. By the end of the session, we felt like old friends. The photos came back a few weeks later and looked great, solidifying our already very high opinion of Brittany.
A few weeks before the wedding, she had us put together a list of photos we wanted her to get, as well as members of the family, so she would know who was who. On the day of the ceremony, Brittany worked closely with our wedding coordinator and venue manager to make everything very seamless. We did most of our photos before the ceremony. We arrived early, she was there, she took a bunch of photos around the venue. We did photos of each of us by ourselves, with our wedding parties separately, and then a first look. Brittany worked very quickly and confidently through our list of shots, getting guests to do what she wanted with ease. She was bossy in the best possible way, and our wedding party and families all loved her. Throughout the ceremony, I didn't notice her at all, but she was there, snapping away. Afterwards, we did some family photos and a few more couple photos, and then she stuck around for the reception to get more photos of guests.
By the end of the night, our guests were asking to be photographed with Brittany, like they were all friends. Like I said, everyone loved her. She has such a cheerful, easy-going, friendly personality.
We got our photos a few weeks after the wedding. They were delivered online and in a fancy USB stick -- good packaging there. The photos were beautiful, which is really the whole point here, and Brittany made the process of getting them delightful.
Hire Brittany now. Seriously.
We had an absolutely wonderful experience having Brittany as our engagement and wedding photographer. The day we met her, we fell in love with ...
her bubbly spirit and obvious passion for her work. We immediatly felt at ease with her and we really appreciated her attention to detail. It was easy to tell that she knows what she's doing. We were also happy to hear that her second shooters all own their own photography businesses. No random family members or junior photographers.
We did have some minor issues with the time it took to get responses to some of our emails, especially after the wedding, but you really can't fault someone who is pregnant and then caring for a infant for being a little busy! She even let us know that she recently hired some extra help.
We had our engagement photos done at Disneyland and Brittany was patient and flexible with scheduling. The day we did the photos, it was warmer than expected and the parks were busy. Brittany and second shooter Crisanta (who Brittany asked to second shoot specifically because of her Disney knowledge) were absolutely amazing. They followed us through both parks from mid-morning until well after sunset without a single complaint and managed to get photos that looked like we had the parks to ourselves. All while Brittany was 7.5 months pregnant!
We had a site walkthrough with Brittany before our wedding and she was very organized and had tons of great ideas. She made sure she had all of the pertinent information, down to the names of each and every family member, so the day of would go as smoothly as possible.
The day of our wedding, Brittany and second shooter Jayrol showed up early and worked incredibly well our crazy mix of families. We had a few babies and toddlers in the group and Brittany and Jayrol were amazing with them, like magic. They kept us on schedule and were willing to help in any way they could, photography or not. Everything went perfectly and we could not be more pleased with our photos!
On top of all of this, Brittany's rates are extremely reasonable!
We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Brittany. She is kind, funny, organized, flexible, easy to work with, and excellent at her craft. Hire her!
A wedding photographer was the very first vendor we looked for, and the search felt endless, until I met with Brittany. It is so difficult to find a photographer with the right com...
bination of skill, sense of humor, honesty, and at the right budget, but that’s what we found in Brittany. From the first meeting, she eased my nerves and just really got to know me and my needs/wants. An engagement shoot was included in the package, and that’s where my now-husband met her for the first time. The shoot was really also a conversation, getting to know us, making us feel relaxed with her presence, and the photos show it! They are all so genuine and really capture us. The day of the wedding, Brittany was a rockstar. First, she was 8 MONTHS PREGNANT and still corralled our giant wedding party and family with grace and humor. Because of the pregnancy, she was willing to add an additional assistant to the day free of charge just to put our minds at ease, which is the best customer service I can imagine. We picked Brittany so we could really see our personalities shine through in the photos, and they are exactly what we hoped for-- fun, silly, and gorgeous all at the same time. Brittany was so much fun to work with from start to finish (and so were her assistants Cris and Mark). We will treasure these photos and memories for the rest of our lives, and couldn’t ask for more. Hire Brittany immediately!
