Beautiful store connected to Belva’s home in the woods. Great selection of beautiful dresses at very reasonable prices. What’s even better than that? Belva and Wanda are so passion...
ate about what they do and they are highly skilled!! They can make and alter anything. I bought a lovely dress from another store but they did the alterations. They were completely custom and made the dress fit perfectly. Wanda added a bustle and some additional sparkle. She attached my sash to the dress and spent countless hours on the lace and beading. She went above and beyond. Both Belva and Wanda are super kind, professional and very enjoyable to work with. Highly recommended!!
The alterations were spot on. their shop is amazing. I have 2 complaints. 1. they never called me to let me know when my dress was ready. I called them the week of the wedding to s...
ee. 2. I was talked about to one of my broedsmaids and others where the interpretation was that I was cheap. that could just be a misunderatanding, but it left a bitter taste in my mouth. I'm not cheap, I'm a realist. I know exactly how much I can afford, and I am not trying to lie to myself or anyone else about it. I was up front with my budget.
with all this being said, the alterations were beautiful. the in person experience was amazing.
I never thought I would get married, much less thought I'd ever go wedding dress shopping. My first visit did not go well as I was very nervous and the lady helping me was a chatte...
rbox. However, Belva knew I had a hard time and wanted to make it right. A couple of days later I met with her and she helped me find a dress that would work. After much brainstorming and some extra fun material, she created a custom dress just for me. We had so much fun with all the dress fittings and I was blown away by the final product! Almost 2 years later and people are still talking about my dress! Belva was so professional and so willing to make things perfect for me. I couldn't have asked for a better experience or a more wonderful person to help make my special day spectacular!
I found my dream dress from Belva. She was very accommodating to my busy work schedule and a true professional. My dress was filled with sequins and jewels, not an easy hem. B...
ut she did wonderful and the dress fit like a glove. She is the only seamstress around that I would recommend. And her bridal store has a great inventory to choose from.
I have done business with Belva since 1998 she is truly the best in her field. She always makes you feel like you are her only client. She is a dress whisperer..... not to mention ...
for the time and effort that she puts into anything she touches is amazing. She has done tons of alterations for me and all of my friends that I have sent her over the years and everyone walks away so happy with her work and are amazed that she doesn't charge more than she does for the time that is takes to make things fit like ther were made for you. Plus if you desire something unique this is the woman you want to go to. She has made a custom dress for me and is in the process of making another one. The thing is I can't say enough about her or her staff. We are so lucky to have her here in our town.
Thank you Belva and Black Diamond Bridal for making your customers #1 I am not justa bride but have been in pageants for years now and I would not trust anyone else with any of my dress alterations, purchases or customization. She is truly the best hands down and her prices should be so much higher for the quality of her work. You wont find anyone better. That is a promise!!!!
I had a similar experience to others who got alterations. I purchased a dress online but wanted to support a local business near my venue for the alterations. When I dropped the ...
dress off they wouldn't provide me with a time or cost estimate. The seamstress did a good job, but the ordeal cost me $500!!! Being budget conscience, that was over half the price of the dress. The dress wasn't steamed and was also put in a very cheap bag instead of a garment bag. I felt my dress was held hostage because it was too late to go anywhere else, and I definitely paid the price. Next time I will find somewhere in Seattle to complete my alterations. They took advantage of having no competition.
I found the perfect dress and thought all would be a breeze. I was quoted and got in writing a price for the alterations. At time of pick up of my dress, they tried to charge me ev...
en more...over $100 more! I didn't pay the difference and still got my dress, but it wasn't steamed and it was given to me in a cheap plastic bag, not a nice garment bag.
We received excellent service from Black Diamond Bridal. I did not find my wedding dress there, but went there for alterations. They had a BIG job to do as my dress was purchased...
as a size 12 and they had to take it in to a size 2. They did it for a reasonable price and the dress was gorgeous!
Starting off i'd like to say she fixed the mistake. So it turns out well in the end. But I went to this store to find my dress and I found it, but it was more than I could afford. ...
I put a downpayment hoping I could wrangle it somehow, but my bridesmaid found that exact dress on Bravobride.com except the right size and color (the in-shop dress was off on those)and it was more than $500 less. So I bought it and it was perfect, I only needed a hem. I took the dress to Black Diamond Bridal and asked her to hem and thats it. She used my downpayment money for the hem only she charged me $300+!! and when I got the dress back I tried it on 4 days before my wedding and the hem was crooked! so I took it in and the next day I came in and it was STILL wrong. so the day before my wedding I came in and it was finally right but it took a long time to get there. And a lot of greif. My experience was a NIGHTMARE and I would never never ever reccomend her to anyone. she fixed it but it cost me $300 and a nightmare to get it done. I would have rather worn giant heels.
Belva owns Black Diamond Bridal and she was absolutely genius; she re-designed my dress the way I wanted and made a custom bolero for me too. She had everything I needed all in o...
