I never thought I would get married, much less thought I'd ever go wedding dress shopping. My first visit did not go well as I was very nervous and the lady helping me was a chatterbox. However, Belva knew I had a hard time and wanted to make it right. A couple of days later I met with her and she helped me find a dress that would work. After much brainstorming and some extra fun material, she created a custom dress just for me. We had so much fun with all the dress fittings and I was blown away by the final product! Almost 2 years later and people are still talking about my dress! Belva was so professional and so willing to make things perfect for me. I couldn't have asked for a better experience or a more wonderful person to help make my special day spectacular!

I found my dream dress from Belva. She was very accommodating to my busy work schedule and a true professional. My dress was filled with sequins and jewels, not an easy hem. But she did wonderful and the dress fit like a glove. She is the only seamstress around that I would recommend. And her bridal store has a great inventory to choose from.

I have done business with Belva since 1998 she is truly the best in her field. She always makes you feel like you are her only client. She is a dress whisperer..... not to mention for the time and effort that she puts into anything she touches is amazing. She has done tons of alterations for me and all of my friends that I have sent her over the years and everyone walks away so happy with her work and are amazed that she doesn't charge more than she does for the time that is takes to make things fit like ther were made for you. Plus if you desire something unique this is the woman you want to go to. She has made a custom dress for me and is in the process of making another one. The thing is I can't say enough about her or her staff. We are so lucky to have her here in our town. Thank you Belva and Black Diamond Bridal for making your customers #1 I am not justa bride but have been in pageants for years now and I would not trust anyone else with any of my dress alterations, purchases or customization. She is truly the best hands down and her prices should be so much higher for the quality of her work. You wont find anyone better. That is a promise!!!!

I had a similar experience to others who got alterations. I purchased a dress online but wanted to support a local business near my venue for the alterations. When I dropped the dress off they wouldn't provide me with a time or cost estimate. The seamstress did a good job, but the ordeal cost me $500!!! Being budget conscience, that was over half the price of the dress. The dress wasn't steamed and was also put in a very cheap bag instead of a garment bag. I felt my dress was held hostage because it was too late to go anywhere else, and I definitely paid the price. Next time I will find somewhere in Seattle to complete my alterations. They took advantage of having no competition.
