Accommodating between 100 and 125 guests, couples can exchange vows in the dedicated ceremony space ando continue celebrating within the venue's reception area. Various lounges are located throughout the venue, including a cigar lounge, a wine lounge, and a game room. These spaces are ideal for guests to enjoy drinks and mingle during cocktail hour, or relax while the festivities continue in the main reception space.

dark, moody, and sophisticated with a creative edge the kind of space that immediately draws you in.
They’ve been making so many great changes this year, and it really shows. There are lots of exciting plans for the future, and you can already feel the difference they added food,fun games, and even more events happening all the time. If you’re trying the food, I definitely recommend the pickle pizza with a side of hot honey and ranch — it’s so yummy and perfectly tangy!
Every detail feels intentional from the music and art to the people who come through the doors. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to stay, talk, and take in the experience. Whether you’re attending one of the open events or part of the private membership, it’s definitely worth checking out.

I went to Black Iris for the first time a couple of months ago for a neon art talk. I showed up for the art, not knowing anything about the club itself. I met one of the owners at the show, Jordan, who offered to give me a tour of the whole spa...
ce. I was super impressed by the space itself (so many different areas to gather, work, relax, record, socialize, etc.), but was even more impressed by Jordan and her knowledge of the club. She completely drew me in with stories of the history of the space, her personal experience, and the benefits of becoming a member. Honestly, she sold it! I went from knowing nothing about this place to wanting to join just to spend more time with people like her and experience all the things she shared on the tour. I will be back for sure!!

I first went to Black Iris for a private work event a few years ago, and it was such a blast! It felt like a Harry Potter movie with all the hidden rooms and staircases. I didn’t go back until a First Friday's neon art exhibit a few months ago....
I met one of the owners, Jordan, at that event and have been going back for First Fridays ever since! Jordan was awesome and gave my husband and me a private tour of the whole space. She was so knowledgeable and professional, and made us feel so V.I.P. when showing us the space. Jordan’s passion for Black Iris, Richmond, and shared community are what it’s all about. She really sold us that night and has us considering a membership once our travel schedule slows down. Check it out for an upcoming First Friday!
