Gina and her team are incredible! From the start of my inquiries and through the event Gina was so professional and responsive. She was very helpful in creating a schedule, and every invoice was very detailed. She hand picked the perfect artists to help bring my vision to life. As the bride I worked with Marissa and Daya for hair and make up. My trials were amazing and we worked together to bring my vision to reality. Daya helped gave me tips and tricks to help improve my skin for the day of. Marissa and I worked on what needed to be done highlight and trim wise so it would look perfect on the day of! On the day of the wedding everyone showed up on time, was very professional and prepared for the day! Everyone was also very flexible as I had a lot of family coming in and out of the room we were working in! We also ended up ahead of schedule! I will forever recommend Gina and Black Orchid beauty for your wedding Hair and Make Up!

Her communication is unmatched- I always felt like I was on top of things because of her. My artists, Marissa and Daisy, were also amazing. They were both so friendly and easy to talk to throughout the entire planning process, all the way up to the wedding day. They are SO talented! Me and my girls looked flawless and our hair and makeup lasted all day/evening (even in the 85 degree heat!). They made all of our beauty visions come to life. I was so happy with the beauty services I received from Black Orchid!! Including myself, I had 12 girls getting one or more services done. Gina did my hair and Shenna did my makeup and I have never felt more glamorous! I initially thought the prices were slightly pricey (at least slightly above what I was hoping to pay) but after the trial and the big day, it was SO worth. They are so talented at what they do, I am forever grateful for their services on the biggest day of my life! Gina also made the planning and payment processes very seamless! I definitely recommend checking out their Instagram!

I highly recommend using Black Orchid! Gina did my hair and Emily did my makeup. My hair doesn’t usually stay curled well, so Gina was awesome with giving me suggestions and using products that helped my hair last on my wedding day! The trial was great because then she had the chance to work with my hair before the big day and suggest how to prep so it would be flawless. We went with a down style like I wanted and it was gorgeous and lasted the night! My makeup was absolutely beautiful and stayed on all night, too. Emily nailed it with bringing my vision to life! Marissa (hair) and Daya (makeup) did an amazing job, too, with some bridesmaids and my mom! I was able to work with four talented ladies and would recommend every one of them. Thank you, Gina, for providing the best glam squad!

I would not recommend this vendor to anyone. Not only was the customer service incredibly inflexible and uncommunicative of "rules" which were in place, causing extreme stress during planning, but the quality of work was low as well. As the bride, my curls fell before the ceremony even started (in less than 2 hours). It was incredibly disappointing. I would never use their services again, nor would I recommend them. I would have done a much better job if I had done my hair myself, and I wish that I had.

move locations mid services. Again, I’m sorry that we just couldn’t accommodate those last minute requests. Wearing your hair down at the end of July can be quite challenging. Please feel free to share photos with me via email and I can share critique with my artist.
I loved working with black orchid! My bridesmaids were all really happy with the services and I thought their price was very reasonable for the quality. I had a boat ride after my ceremony for the wedding party and was shocked my curls held up after that and all night! So many compliments :)

I'm so glad I worked with Black Orchid Beauty for hair and makeup on my wedding day. Gina made scheduling the services painless and even provided a detailed schedule for the day of that I was able to pass on directly to my bridal party to ensure all the girls knew who was booked for what service at what time. On a day with so many details, I definitely appreciated that I didn't have to take additional time to square that away.
Anna, Emily and Melissa did such an amazing job. Special shout out to Anna who was able to squeeze in a week-of hair/makeup trial with me and give me the hair and make up look of my dreams! Anna, Emily and Melissa were all very friendly, added to a relaxing getting ready morning environment, and made sure that everyone looked great and received the look they envisioned. I couldn't recommend Black Orchid more highly for hair and make up needs!

Shenna was a perfect makeup artist for my wedding. She did everyone’s makeup in a simple but elegant fashion. All of us had perfect makeup that lasted the whole day and into the night. All the way past the end of the wedding. I would definitely recommend her for any makeup occasion.
Gina was absolutely amazing to work with! From beginning of booking and signing the contract, to the hair trial being amazing and the actual wedding day being perfect! She made me as a bride feel so confident and made sure I loved my hair before I even walked out the door. She helped all my bridesmaid feel the most beautiful! I will say I’ve stood in many weddings and by the end of the ceremony my curls and other girls curls have fell. When Gina did our hair, all my girls hair looked exactly the same from when they got out of the chair to the end of the night! Daisy & Marissa were fantastic! Best make up and hair duo ever. I was so happy and loved how my hair and make up turned out! Never heard anything from the owner, however, day of or afterwards to check in. Especially after paying a large amount to her. She was more of a coordinator for hair and make up.

the wedding when I am not working them personally. My artists are great about following up with me if there was concern. I do also send a handwritten card and thank you gift to all my brides in the month following their wedding. Keep an eye out for a small package in the mail! And Congratulations!
I have only had hair and makeup trials, but honestly Gina, Jasmine, and Bridget have been so accommodating to all my requests! To be honest after covid I gained a lot of weight and I haven't lost it and have been nervous about how I would look - but they have eased every anxiety and were even extremely accommodating to so many changes with the schedule after a bridesmaid dropped out of hair and makeup- I was able to replace her with my aunt and another bridesmaid and Gina changed the schedule so quickly for me. I get such bad anxiety with how I will look at the wedding and sometimes my anti anxiety meds don't help much, but looking back at trial photos eases my stress so much and I will always be grateful to Gina's team for that! 100000/10 recommend and my wedding hasn't even happened yet!

Gina from Black Orchid was super easy to work with and flexible with changes in services and artists. My trial with Anna was amazing and all 4 of the artists that were there for wedding day were very professional, fun to have around, and worked on-time with the schedule. We had a very peaceful wedding morning because they rolled with the punches and never seemed stressed or hurried. Everyone loved their hair and makeup MUCH more than other weddings they'd been a part of, the end results were gorgeous. I would highly recommend!

Booking the Black Orchid team was one of the best decisions I made for our wedding! Gina was fantastic to work with and very communicative as we got everything coordinated in the year leading up to the wedding. Shenna, Daisy, and Marissa did an AMAZING job with the hair and makeup for me, my bridesmaids, our groomswoman, my mom, and my mother-in-law on the morning of the wedding. Everyone looked incredible and felt awesome, plus the Black Orchid crew was genuinely nice and fun to hang out with while we were getting ready.
I also have to give Daisy a shoutout for being flexible with my makeup trial when COVID sidelined me a few weeks before the wedding - it helped settle my nerves so much that she was able to fit me back into her schedule, and I LOVED how my makeup turned out.

Black Orchid was absolutely amazing! I did hair with Melissa and makeup with Emily and I couldn’t have dreamed of it going any better! We had a team of 4 stylists for the wedding day and they were so fun, patient, and kind to our wedding party. Melissa was incredibly collaborative with me while I was trying to decide on how I wanted my hair. We did two trials because I wasn’t sure and she nailed it on the wedding day. A lot of crazy and mishaps happened on my wedding day but my hair and makeup and that of my bridal party and mother was absolutely perfect!!! Everyone's look was beautiful, matching their taste, style, dress, and complexion. This was all thanks to the wonderful skill and hard work of our hair stylist Shannon and our makeup artist Daisy! Gina and her team were exceptional to work with. Gina was very organized and flexible leading up to our wedding day, and she was helpful in deciding the look I was going for. The day of our wedding, Gina and her team were prompt and very timely! They got through hair and makeup for 12 people on schedule. Even when one of the airbrush systems stopped working, Gina had come prepared with a back-up that kept everything moving along. I would highly recommend working with Gina and her team!

Gina and Anna were absolutely amazing on my wedding day! They were a true dream team! Gina did the makeup for my bridal party as well as my hair and my maid of honor's hair. I felt so beautiful and got so many compliments on my makeup the day of. My hair was beyond any expectations! I didn't think it could look any better after the trial but somehow Gina managed to make it absolutely perfect. Anna did the hairstyles for the rest of my bridesmaids. She did such a great job at listening to what everyone wanted and making their visions a reality. Anna also did the makeup for my mom. My mom was nervous to have her makeup done because she never wears any and didn't want to look different. Anna was so sweet and listened to my mom and just accentuated her natural beauty. Not only are Gina and Anna amazing at hair and makeup but they are both the sweetest humans. We had such a blast with them getting ready the morning of my wedding.
Gina is obviously the best, there's just no one else you should even consider. She is extremely knowledgeable, fun, creative, and so professional. On the day of, she made my makeup look flawless. She was so fun to work with and listened to what I wanted so carefully, and exceeded my expectations and put me so at ease. All of my guests complimented me on how wonderful my hair and makeup looked. She did my bridal party's hair as well and they all looked so beautiful! I highly recommend Gina and her team!

We had Gina, Shenna and Marissa for our group 9 and they were absolutely fantastic! I felt so stunning and everyone in my wedding party still looked amazing after a long night of dancing (those lashes did not budge). Shenna did my bridal hair/makeup and completely brought my dream bridal look to life, plus was such a blast to work with. Gina is an excellent communicator and extremely organized so I was very clear on schedule, payment, and expectations well in advance of my wedding day. Of course the girls are great at hair and makeup but that fact that Gina is also great at running the business is such an added benefit. It felt like chaos organizing all of my vendors for the wedding day EXCEPT for hair and makeup. It was such a stress free experience and totally set the tone for the day. I was so happy with the entire process of working with Black Orchid and would highly highly recommend!
Gina (hair) and Megan (makeup) did an absolutely phenomenal job for our wedding. She was so easy to work with and had impeccable communication skills! We had to postpone our wedding last year and she took all the stress out of having to rebook our vendors and made it super easy to secure them for our new date! She was so responsive and flexible I cannot stress enough how thankful I am for that! She kept everyone moving the day of and kept us to our schedule and we even finished early! My hair held all night, as did all of the bridesmaids. Megan was so sweet and willing to work with me on how I wanted the makeup to look and in the end it was stunning. So thankful for for all the hard work they put in for us and meeting us on site for hair and makeup it made the morning of a breeze and so easy going!

Gina (hair) and Shenna (makeup) did an amazing job all around…x2! Imagine the most chaotic scheduling and uncertainty around a couple’s date and details, and that was my circumstance…twice. Gina was so easy to work with and really helped put my mind at ease as I struggled through the planning both years. They did my hair and makeup for my ceremony and a small group of ladies in June 2020, and then they did a larger group of girls for my bigger celebration this June. They are so fun, personable, and talented. I even now go to Gina for my regular hair maintenance needs!

I worked with Gina, Paige, Shenna, Emily, and Marissa. We had two different hairstyles and makeup looks during the morning and afternoon for an Indian wedding and all team members were extremely professional and talented. Gina and Paige were great about doing my hair and make-up trials prior to the event and making me feel confident that I would look amazing. I was finishing medical school in Madison while I was looking for stylists and Gina communicated well and was flexible about adding people and reorganizing the number of people and services. My wedding ceremony was at 6 AM and all the stylists were ready to go at 2:30 AM, which ensured that we stayed on schedule.

Daisy and Bridget did incredible work the day of our wedding! There were last minute changes to lashes and looks different people wanted but they didn’t flinch. They were both so easy to work with and most importantly they were super fun and nice to have on a day that could have been extremely stressful. I highly recommend them both. The star of the show was Gina who made booking SUPER easy, with straight forward pricing and expectations. She even made a schedule for us that kept everything organized and on track. Super professional team and one of the easiest vendors we worked with! Love them!

Black Orchid Beauty was great. This was such a great decision to make for our wedding. Gina organized on-site hair and make-up for myself, my bridal party, and my mom/mother-in-law. Melissa did hair and Daisy did make-up. They were both excellent. I did trials with them both prior to the wedding, and they were so receptive to what I was looking for. On the day of, they both arrived early, were very efficient, and created incredible looks for us. Everyone was so happy with how things turned out, and the convenience of having on-site hair/make-up cannot be overstated. Thank you!!
I cannot say enough good things about Black Orchid Beauty. Gina is absolutely amazing. My hair is extremely hard to work with because it’s so long, thick, and silky so I thought putting it up into an updo and having it stay all night was out of the question. Man was I wrong!! Gina worked her magic and I was complemented on my hair ALL night!! My bridesmaids also did not have a single hair out of place all night and they all looked absolutely stunning!!
Gina brought in Shenna for makeup and once again, not enough good things to say! I don’t wear a lot of makeup and wanted to just look natural and Shenna delivered!! I loved my makeup and felt so beautiful all night long! And when I say all night long.... I mean it!! Once the lights turned on at the end of the night there were multiple people that commented on how great my makeup still looked!
I would 100% recommend black orchid beauty!

Gina was amazing! I met with her for a trial and she was very easy to work with while figuring out exactly what I wanted to do with my hair. On the day of my wedding I had a few tweeks I wanted done to the hair style we had originally chose. Gina was so flexible in making the couple changes. Gina was so fun to work with and would definitely recommend her to everyone!!

I booked Gina for hair and makeup almost a year before the wedding and went to her for regular cuts and colors before the big day. Leading up to the wedding she was super responsive and flexible. The day of, Gina and Shenna did the hair and makeup for me, my mom and my five bridesmaids and everyone looked STUNNING! She even took the time to touch up my maid of honor's hair before we headed out for the day. All of our hair and makeup didn't budge for hours. Gina is the best hair dresser I've had and I would highly recommend booking her for your big day!

Gina was a godsend for my wedding this past July! She was flexible, organized, sweet and most importantly incredibly talented. She worked around my day-of schedule and even came with a great tag-team recommendation for make-up. She also did all of my bridesmaids’ hair, each bringing their own inspiration, and she absolutely delivered! Very impressed. Would definitely recommend.

Gina was wonderful and professional! She worked fast and my whole wedding party’s hair looked stunning. I did a hair trial with her previously and we adjusted and my hair looked even better on the day of! She took the time to touch up my hair before she left and well as others if they wanted it. I could not have been happier with Gina on my wedding day! My hair turned out exactly as I had dreamed it would. The makeup was flawless, even without a trial! I showed a few pictures, she asked a few questions and before I knew it Gina had recreated exactly what I had wanted. I know Gina could tell I was a little anxious and she was such a calming presence the morning of my wedding. Added benefit, all hair and makeup was completed earlier than expected for myself and 6 bridesmaids! So happy with my decision!

Gina and her ladies did a fantastic job for myself and 13 ladies the morning of my wedding. They were able to accommodate all of us in a timely manner, while having fun and coming to our location early in the morning. Very talented! Just a heads up though, the booking fee is not included in the final price which I wasn't aware of and didn't think was common and wish I had been notified of. Otherwise would highly recommend their talented services!

Perfect! Five starts! Gina was so accommodating - we were late to my trial, coming from Chicago to Milwaukee + Gina was kind as ever, listened to what I was hoping for and executed it beautifully. And the day of my wedding, which was this past weekend, she was calm while I ran around frazzled at times and dealt with me professionally and discreetly, while my mother quietly paid for 2/3 of the parties' hair without directly telling me, nearly making my sister-in-law have to pay for her hair on the day of my wedding. Gina was wonderful, hands down. Her work is gorgeous, she is more than professional + she's a fun gal to chat with while you're getting your hair done. Would recommend 1000 times over. If I lived in Milwaukee, she'd absolutely be my go-to-gal for all things hair.
Gina did a FANTASTIC job on my wedding day! She was able to travel to Madison to work onsite as my ladies and I were getting ready at the country club we were having our reception at. It was an early morning (7:30am start time for hair) and Gina was EARLY and set up before I even got there. She made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day and I would not change a thing! Thank you so much Gina--it was so fun to have you there with us!
Gina did a FABULOUS job! I got my hair cut and colored a couple of weeks before my wedding. She did a great job at blending everything nicely so it didn't look like I just got my hair colored. The day of went very smoothly and everything turned out exactly how I pictured it. I highly recommend her for any special occasion or even just a cut and/or color. She does a fantastic job and stays true to what you are asking for!
Gina is absolutely incredible. She was recommended to me through another hair stylist in Milwaukee and I couldn't be happier with having her be part of my wedding day. She and her partner for the day, Chrysta, were extremely professional, friendly, and helped to bring a wonderful and positive vibe while my bridal party was getting ready. They did my hair, 6 bridesmaids, 2 moms, and a flower girl. Everyone was extremely happy with their hair - not to mention they finished ahead of schedule!
