Seth was absolutely amazing! He was so attentive and made sure we were happy and things were flowing accordingly to the timeline. He has such a good energy and so willing to help in whatever way. I would definitely recommend, he went above and beyond the day of!!

I had heard great things about this DJ service and was super excited to meet with them and see if we could book them for my wedding. Unfortunately i have emailed them twice, sent a facebook message and called them since October 4th and have gotten one email back that said i will hear from them with in 24 hours. Needless to say its now October 16th and i have not heard from anyone, not even a were not available for your date. Very unprofessional, why have multiple ways of contact if your not going to respond through any of them. Im very disappointed as i was so excited to meet with this company after all the great reviews i had gotten and talking with them at a bridal expo, and now i am off to find another DJ company that might have the common decency to respond.

Seth is a pleasure to work with-he is warm and personable with a commitment to excellence (in our case, our daughter's wedding reception)and "aim to please" approach. 5 stars! As we talked through each aspect of the reception, it was evident that Seth knows his business and he really does do everything he says he will do! He met with us a number of times answering questions, getting the playlist for the reception/dance fine-tuned and the wedding timeline as we wanted it. He gave us excellent advice and direction. At the reception, Seth's presence was invaluable! With his great smile and personality, he kept the timeline moving, keeping the wedding party/family informed of what was next, and working closely with our event coordinator and photographers. The dance floor was full the entire time! More fun than we could have imagined, we had the most entertaining time dancing, making cherished memories with family and friends. So many have commented what an amazing time it was- Seth skillfully hosted and played the right music at the right time. When Seth joined everyone on the dance floor a few times, that was a highlight! Seth is amazing and we are so pleased he was part of our wedding reception celebration. Five Stars!

Seth and Black Tie Beats is amazing. He made everything run smoothly at the reception and I received so many compliments from wedding guests on him. They loved his energy and music choices! !!

Seth was great! He really listened to what we wanted and didn't want and made sure that our day was special in our own way! He kept up with song requests and made sure that everyone was having a good time! We have never seen our friends and family dance as much as they did at our reception, which we owe to Seth! Thank you!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I definitely would. Seth was the DJ at our wedding on July 2nd, and he exceeded our highest expectations. He was outstanding throughout the planning process, and was even better at our reception. He was very easy to get ahold of, and very responsive to email. When we met with him it was fun! It was not a boring meeting at all. He helped us come up with ideas to make our wedding fun and memorable. When it came to the night of the wedding he totally took charge so we didn't have to think about anything- we were truly able to just enjoy our wedding reception. Our bridal party introductions were fantastic, and we did a kissing bowl (Seth's idea) which was a huge hit and so much fun! We also did a choreographed bridal party dance that was a surprise to our guests, and it went off without a hitch, thanks to Seth! After our choreographed dance (which was before the dancing started), the dance floor was filled the entire rest of the night. In fact, people started chanting "ONE MORE SONG" once the last song played. He created such a fun environment that he left people wanting more (which is exactly what we wanted). It was such a magical day/night, and we have Seth to thank for that. I am still getting comments from people about how awesome our DJ was. I actually have a friend how got married the weekend after us, and she told me that she wanted to ask if he was available the next weekend for her wedding, because he was so great at mine! I highly recommend him to everyone needing a DJ.

Seth was the DJ for our July 3rd wedding. Knowing Seth previously from his role DJing elsewhere, we were very excited to get him involved in our wedding planning process. Seth is so much more than your typical DJ. He did everything a DJ should do, but he didn't stop there. Sure, he took our song requests and planned out the timeline of our reception, but he did so much more than that. He was our most thorough vendor by far through our multiple pre-wedding meetings. He even stepped in as a wedding planner at times. On our wedding night, Seth reached out to myself and my husband to ensure everything was perfect. Our friends and family were extremely impressed with Seth and thought he did an outstanding job. A wedding DJ is a big deal...and I would 100% recommend Seth & Black Tie Beats.

Black Tie Beats (Seth was the d.j. in our case) was an amazing d.j. and I would definitely recommend them to anybody without a hesitation. They kept the music going smoothly all night, the music selection/mix was amazing, and the dance floor was never remotely empty (seriously, although it could also have been due to our awesome guests). Seth had some really good suggestions for the garter toss and introduction of the wedding party. Planning the wedding was a little stressful as Seth was difficult to get a hold of sometimes on the phone, but email was always successful. However, I don't think that should keep anybody from utilizing their services! In fact, Black Tie Beats even has a website where you can/must fill out for the songs you want played during different parts of the reception (mother-son dance, bouquet toss, general dancing, etc.). I don't recall how much they were, but they were definitely reasonably priced. To end my rave review of Black Tie Beats: GREAT professional service, GREAT sound quality, GREAT transitions, and GREAT music. :)

Seth was absolutely amazing! Everything he did for us leading up to our wedding and on the wedding day was above and beyond our expectations. He is great to work with and offers unique services that created the best memories! I recorded a message for my dad that was mixed in with the father daughter dance as a surprise for my dad. The look on my dad's face was priceless! From the time we met him at a bridal show, I knew we made the right decision. I can't say enough about how much we loved using Black Tie Beats for our wedding!

I never realized how big of a roll the DJ plays in the wedding. Seth did a great job of keeping reception events on track! He even got on the dance floor and made the reception do fun and memorable for the guests. I would recommend him over anyone anyday! I was extremely happy with their service!

Seth did a great job with my wedding ceremony and my reception both. However, he was very difficult to get ahold of. I couldnt even get ahold of him until 2 weeks before the wedding and then we were supposed to have a meeting and he told me the day of he had to cancel. Everything ended up working out and he played the songs I asked and did a great job, but it was very frustrating!

Seth @ Black Tie Beats provides an amazing service. I cannot count how many comments we received from our guests about how amazing our DJ/music was. Seth almost acts as a wedding coordinator. Without him, we definitely would not have had such a beautiful reception. He even helped me record a special message for my Dad during our Father/Daughter dance!

Seth and his staff were always there from when we first booked our DJ. Seth, the owner, is very organized and makes sure the bride/groom have everything they need. He even acts as the wedding coordinator :). Nate was professional DJ who did a fantastic job of playing the songs we requested and keeping everyone on the dance floor.

Seth Thomas (Black Tie Beats) DJed our reception, and up until the actual reception, everything was perfect! He was very prompt in emailing me back, on time to our meetings and well organized during those meetings. He asked all the right questions, and really went above and beyond in a lot of ways. He wanted to know all the details of the day so that he could be knowledgable if guests or other vendors asked him questions, and I really had the impression that he covers all of his bases. He is very friendly, polite and outgoing -- GREAT personality. During the reception, he did a great job of keeping people happy, dancing and laughing. He has a wonderful radio voice and we were generally impressed. However, I have to only give him three star because of a couple of key mistakes. There were three songs that were extremely important to my husband and I that we really wanted played at some point throughout the night... he only played one of them. This may not be a big deal to some, but those two songs that he missed our songs that I've imagined dancing with my husband to at our wedding for a long time, and now it's just never something we'll have a memory of. The second big mistake was that he directed us to cut our cake at the wrong time. A lot of people cut their cake right after arriving at the reception, and we didn't want to do this until after dinner. We talked about it in detail, and we discussed that normally people do it this way and that we're absolutely positive we wanted it done differently. I'm not sure if he didn't agree with it or just forgot to write it down, but we were very suprised at the reception when he announced we were cutting the cake and we hadn't been planning on that. Of course, with 150 people looking at us, we just did it anyway. This isn't as big of a deal as the songs... but still something specific we discussed that didn't get done. Seth is a GREAT DJ and great person, but I think his organization could use some improvements, as obviously some of his notes from our meetings got lost along the way. As far as price, we had Seth at our reception from 4:30pm until midnight, and we paid 595.00. We thought it was a great deal!!

Our DJ cancelled last minute (the week of our wedding!) But our wedding reception found someone to step in last minute. That someone was Black Tie Beats, and they just happened to have a DJ free. As it turned out, we REALLY lucked out because that DJ was even better than the one we had planned on using! He did an amazing job and kept the evening running smoothly, did a nice job of mixing up the music to accomodate guests of all ages, and kept the dance floor packed. He was incredibly nice, and kept checking with us (the bride and groom) to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. He had great personality on the mic and just did a fabulous job. The company's owner, Seth, was so professional about helping us set everything up with us (again, the week of, and we were out of state.) They just really did an amazing job, and we would not hesitate to recommend to future couples!

Planned out our reception music months in advance, gave him the list of songs we wanted months in advance. Did not want cliche reception music such as "celebrate good times" and we made that very clear multiple times. 3 days before the wedding he said he needed the list of songs again after i gave him the list on a couple different occasions in the past, not to mention on our first meeting months before the wedding. He said, do you have a cd of this music? I dont have this or cant download it. WHY DID HE WAIT TILL 3 DAYS BEFORE THE WEDDING?!? I told him he needed to figure it out, which he said he would do and played the cliche playlist at the reception, I had to go up to him and tell him to play my list.. my bridesmaids had to go up there for me to tell him again and again to play songs from the list. Other than that debaucle..very organized and keeps the flow going.Did a good job at the wedding. if you want something different from the cookie cutter wedding dj.. this guy obviously cant handle it.. Music was very important to us if not the most important detail of our wedding planning and we spent a long time getting the list together..we really wish he would have told us he couldnt or didnt want to get our song choices together months before our wedding in our initial meeting so we could have chose another option.

Did an amazing job from start to finish! Was very professional and went above and beyond to make our day special! If I had to do it all over again, I would choose BTB in a heartbeat! Everyone had an amazing time!! :)
