On the actual day of the wedding, the set-up and equipment was outstanding and our DJ kept open lines of communication with us to make sure every aspect of our event went off without a hitch. or our initial meeting but his professionalism and organizational skills were so impressive I knew we needed them right away. We didn’t have a wedding planner or day of coordinator but honestly I didn’t feel like I needed it because our DJ, Bob, was so on top of everything the whole night. My sister sang our first dance song and it was no trouble for him to get the accompaniment and mic for her. My sisters also had a special musical surprise planned during their speeches and Bob worked with them to make sure everything was perfect. We weren’t too picky for music selections during the dancing but everyone had such an awesome time all night on the dance floor! She was super great helping everyone (even my grandparents who didn’t know what a photo booth was) to get super fun pictures and have a great time! good hands. We did not know who exactly was going to DJ our wedding until a few weeks before the wedding and I knew the instant I spoke with Bob that we liked him already. We struggled with some song choices during our initial meeting with Bob and he even texted me on several occasions with song choice recommendations that came into his head at random times. That was so appreciative and he made me feel like not as another bride. We also had a strict "no music older than the 80's" request for our reception music and he ensured that what we requested is what we got! He had such high energy and the dance floor was packed all night! I was worried that the introductions were going to sound too rehearsed or announced just because of experiences we have had with DJ's at other weddings, however Bob was the perfect happy medium. He played every song on our "to play list", introductions went smoothly and no names were pronounced incorrectly. He played our ceremony music also which turned out exactly what we wanted. I cannot think of even one single thing that went wrong. Booking Black Tie was one of the best decisions that we made for our wedding and our special day would definitely not have been as perfect if it weren't for Bob. Thank you so so much, we are forever grateful!!

ase. I planned my wedding from across the country and Bill was super responsive with email and we got the chance to meet the week before which was amazing. We had a choreographed surprise first dance and timing, sound quality, everything was perfect. There's nothing I hate more than a dj who loves the sound of his own voice and just talks the whole night haha- Bob knew what to say to get the party going, played the right songs to ensure that everyone was on the dance floor, and kept it entertaining. He stayed an extra hour no questions asked which was amazing. Thank you black tie!!

rd Zoo in Syracuse, which requires multiple set up locations for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. This was no issue at all, BTE was completely prepared to handle that, and they were very professional and friendly during all of our conversations. Before the wedding, we met with them face to face to discuss our song list and the order of the day. Additionally, they set aside one morning to meet us at the zoo to see up-lighting canisters in the reception hall to help us choose a color after seeing it in-person. During this time, they shared their insight from their experience and gave us great ideas such as having our wedding party join mid way through our first dance to get good photos and distract from our otherwise middle school sway dance style that my wife and I share. On the wedding day, they arrived 3 hours early to set up. Bob was an incredible DJ! He kept our guests energized, was very entertaining when he spoke to announce certain events (wedding party into, first dance, etc) and he played a great mix of music that included all of our "must-have" songs. Also, any requests that he received he made sure fit into the theme and current 'vibe' before playing them as to not throw a wrench in the gears of our otherwise VERY active dance floor. We could not be more thrilled with BTE as our DJ, and happily recommend them!

A few days after the wedding we reviewed all the photos taken on the flash drive and saw how much fun our friends and family had at our wedding. e weekend we were in town to go over how we wanted the reception structured, what kind of music we wanted, etc. We did our reception in a non-traditional order and Bill handled it really well. We also gave him some custom music tracks for our first dances and he had no issues making those special accommodations for us. He made sure to play everything off of our "favorites" song list and also took a reasonable amount of requests from guests. He ended the night with the perfect song that had all the guests standing around in a circle, swaying and belting out the words! We also booked an open air photo booth which was a huge hit with our guests and was totally worth the extra money. At the end of the night we got a flash drive with all the raw photos and my parents ended up framing the photo booth photos as Christmas presents to our family and friends which they loved! So many of our guests told us this was the best wedding they had been to, and I credit a lot of that to how much fun Bill & BTE made our reception experience. If BTE is available on your wedding day, there's no question about it - you should absolutely hire them!

I got married in Ithaca, NY and he made the drive, coordinated with everyone and set up all while We were getting ready and there was nothing to worry about. the day of our wedding, Jason played all of our song requests, adhered to our "do not play" list, and selected additional songs that fit perfectly all night. I was most impressed with his professionalism, attentiveness, and how well he read the crowd. We had a few "maybe" songs- those that we wished to be played if it seemed like our guests would dance to them, and I agreed 100% with Jason's decisions about which ones to play and which to avoid. Excellent professional judgment. We also really appreciated that he checked in with us occasionally through the night. Finally, we were SO GLAD that we decided to have a photo booth. We had been on the fence about it due to our relatively small wedding (approx. 60 guests), but it was a great decision. Our guests loved it!!! We went with the inflatable option which was super cool, and perfect for our outdoor vineyard wedding reception. Kyle did an excellent job running the booth all night! We love having all of the photos to look back on now and remember the night! In the days and weeks following the wedding, we had so many people rave about the fun they had that night. Black Tie Entertainment is a huge reason for the night's success. I highly recommend to anyone!!

ancing! Needless to say, all of our requests and preferences were met and flawlessly executed. One thing Bill asks for is a list of music. To some this may seem intimidating because who has time to pick out songs.... Well my advise it to get some drinks, grab the ipod or youtube and just have fun with your partner! We wound up creating about a 100 song list (way to many!) but Bill had a perfect list to match our style and in turn we made a playlist on our ipod and we rock out to it all the time. So have fun with it. One of my favorite things about BTE was when we met him in person. We went through every detail from how the entire day would run, to pronouncing names. We even discussed if people could make song requests - which surprisingly comes in handy to keep your day your day. If you dont want to worry about anything on your day, and long for details this is your guy. If your looking for a DJ, entertainer, uplighter, videographer, gobo lighting anything, this is your Vendor.

ear, I would recommend you look elsewhere. Black Tie knows better than you do. I have strong opinions about music, and spent many hours preparing a list of songs I wanted to hear, then editing and re-editing it. I sent it to Black Tie several weeks before the wedding, and went through it with Bill and Bob on a prep call to emphasize that we wanted uptempo dance songs only, with no slow songs after the first dance. Again, Black Tie knew better. We were treated to three or four slow dances in the first hour, including an especially saccharine country ballad. I heard a few of the songs I requested, but they were far outnumbered by Pitbull, Robin Thicke (the rape song), "Footloose" and Gnarls Barkley. Now That's What I Call Music 2012! They rolled right through songs I'd specifically asked them to avoid. I spent an hour gritting my teeth before I asked the DJ to play the music I'd asked to be played. Taste in music is entirely subjective, of course, and mine's no better than anyone else's. It is specific, though. And for the DJ to swap out LCD Soundsystem, New Order and M83 for Pitbull, Walk the Moon and Robin Thicke wasn't just insulting, but a total misreading of the room. BlackTie was the most expensive of the DJs we interviewed. I would've been better served by an iPod.

or. Our DJ for the evening spoke very clearly and kept the messages short and sweet, definitely adding to our entire evening. We highly recommend working with Black Tie Entertainment for any of your DJ needs, we couldn't have been happier.

e than our other options. This was probably the best decision we could have made, our DJ really made the night a success. Jason kept a relatively small wedding (~75 people) dancing throughout the evening. He did a great job reading the crowd and making song selections. We has several guest compliment our DJ and comment on how much fun they had at our wedding. From the very beginning Black Tie was responsive to all of our questions and helped us plan out timeline for our entire evening. We also used Black Tie for our photo booth, which was a huge hit. They were helpful and had an attendant at the booth the entire evening. We would recommend Black Tie for your wedding, they are worth every penny and made a huge difference at our wedding.

Mike was the person assigned to us to be the DJ day-of - I can't speak highly enough about the job he did. We had a very relaxed phone call a few weeks before the wedding where we finalized the details, and I was very comfortable with Mike's assessment of the timing of the day and was really happy with his knowledge of music options. The day of was great - Mike arrived exactly when he said he would, and was the DJ for our ceremony, cocktail hour AND reception. For the ceremony, the thing that stood out the most is that because of the small ceremony room, Mike was stationed OUTSIDE the room, with the speakers inside. He still pulled off the timing of the music flawlessly, even though he could not actually see us. The reception also went great - the timing of everything we discussed went off without a hitch - the music was incredible! He nailed the stuff we said we liked, and avoided everything we asked him to. Would definitely use them for an event again!

We expressed all our necessities and concerns.. we were told to have no worries- and I was completely thrilled with the way the day flowed. They took order, did all the directing (for those in the bridal party who already had a few drinks before the reception), kept right to our play list & do not play list, and made the evening go by so smoothly. It was the best decision we made!!

the last minute, we were in need of ceremony music as our live musician did not work out. Bill was able to be there, find the music we wanted, and provide the services needed. He also checked in with us throughout the night to see if we needed anything. When we met with him, he had our first dance song playing as we walked into his house. What a nice, thoughtful touch! He found the version we wanted and he made sure music was cued to the right start times and ended in the best spot. I would use this service again if necessary. Bill is a wonderful, professional, accommodating, thoughtful person!

Since he had extra time, he set up music for the separate cocktail hour that we had decided we couldn't afford previously. It was the best surprise.
