I've been to many weddings and I'm very impressed after seeing Black Tie at my sister's wedding. They played enough "standards" to keep all of our older relatives dancing along with all of the deep dive cuts my sister and her friends love.

They set the perfect tone for our wedding reception with the fog on the dance floor, cold sparklers lighting up the best parts of the music, orange uplighting for a gorgeous fall atmosphere, videography capturing all the moments, and an amazing sound system. Mike was our DJ and he was excellent! He brought such a high level of energy to our wedding party that resonated with everyone. We all had a blast dancing in the fog! arcus was amazing at this! We also had him do the music for our ceremony. I had specific timing for the recessional song of the ceremony, and Marcus made it happen! From a special couple dance, to rapid fire picture taking, Marcus listened to everything we wanted and made the soundtrack for the evening perfect. Guests were on the dance floor the entire night and everyone had a great time! We can’t thank Marcus and BTE enough!

Bill and his team are truly the most professional and organized DJ's I've ever worked with, and I was so happy when they had our wedding date available. Bill was always a phone call away, making sure every detail was covered and nothing was forgotten. Every aspect of the wedding that they dealt with was meticulously done - from the ceremony to our final dance after they helped clear the room out for the sparkler exit. Not to mention, the dance floor was PACKED the entire night. No one wanted it to end. We have received hundreds of compliments already stating it was the best wedding ever, and I have to give tons of credit to Bill for that. been published on our website - the additional hour rate of $400 was listed there and on your contract which you signed 11 months prior to the event and we sent a copy to you twice for each of the installment payments you made. I don’t see where this should have been a surprise.
Furthermore in our opinion, we feel that our DJ went above and beyond mediocre service by:
-creating a steady dance party for a crowd of just 60 people
-providing tape and help to secure the ceremony aisle runner
-helping to pass out sticks with ribbons to guests and explain to them what to do with them
-helping to distribute drinks with your brother while waiting for grandma
-calling tables for dinner because caterer wouldn’t
-playing bridal party requests
-checking in with you during the party on TBD items like bouquet toss
-finding key people smoking outside barn to keep them informed

We got married in September at Hotel Syracuse and hired Black Tie Entertainment to DJ our wedding reception and also to provide Uplighting for our reception room.
Bill was our DJ...
and he was great!! He was easy to communicate via email. We met with him via zoom twice over the last year and once in person a few weeks before our wedding to finalize everything. Bill let us know that he plays music based on the vibe of the crowd, versus just playing from a list of requests, which we really appreciated. We emphasized we wanted good dance music and that keeping the dance floor alive was important to us. Bill understood the assignment! Everyone had a blast and the dance floor was full all night! He did a great job keeping things on track too - the toasts, the cake cutting, the bouquet toss, etc. We would definitely recommend him to our family and friends!
Also - If you have a chance to do uplighting at your venue - DO IT!! It makes any room looks 100 times better and it just adds a fun energy!!

Our wedding was on Sept 19th, and Bill's expertise definitely left us with absolutely no worries at all. And it did! Not only was he an essential part of the planning process with amazing ideas, he also read the dance floor perfectly making sure everyone was dancing all night long! edding, but we always felt like we were in good hands with him and Black Tie. From our first phone call with Bill about 7 months before the wedding, we felt really comfortable with Bill. He listened to all of our thoughts and concerns, and gave helpful recommendations when we asked for them (i.e. timing and order of events during our reception).
Most importantly, Bill & Black Tie exceeded our expectations the night of our wedding. We had mentioned to Bill that we wanted our reception to be lively with lots of dancing, and that’s exactly what happened. We received so many comments from our guests about how the DJ did a great job keeping the party going, and the dance floor was full almost the whole night. Additionally, Bill was very accommodating of our requests even on the day of the wedding. We had a couple last minute changes to the order of events and he said it was no problem and made us feel relaxed and comfortable. We also asked him during the reception if he could play a couple songs that we had forgotten to request ahead of time, and he was able to fit them all in.
We are so happy that we used Bill & Black Tie for our wedding! Thanks guys for a wonderful night!!!

Bill (and his co-mate Katie) conducted a very thorough pre wedding call. I will say that I think Black Tie are at their best when you give them creative license reins with the right amount of guidance.
On the day of the event, Bill and Katie executed beautifully. They were extremely attentive to what me and my wife needed and true to their word kept people dancing all night long. Quote from one of my aunts, “I literally felt like I was at the world’s best dance party for 2 straight hours.”
