We absolutely loved working with our DJ, Chris. He asked us all the right questions and things we hadn't even thought of to prepare for our special day. His wealth of experience helped us with our timeline and also provided resources to make the day go smoother. It felt like we immediately vibed and he understood our vision for our reception. He also did a phenomenal job with helping us with cueing and MC'ing the varying parts of our wedding. We received many excited exclamations from our guests that they loved that Chris was "actually mixing". Chris is the GOAT, would highly recommend using him and Black Tie Entertainment.

Andrew made our wedding amazing and exceed our expectations. We were told by multiple guest that the music was amazing and the energy was high! There was a small hiccup with the DJ portal where music didn’t get saved the week prior. At our final meeting, Andrew helped solve the issue and make recommendations on music that we were unsure of. Andrew kept the crowd going and the dance floor full the entire night!

Matt was very professional throughout the process. Easy to communicate with through email and zoom meetings. He provided great input in creating a timeline and establishing a flow of events for our wedding. Black Tie provides a convenient portal through which we could add songs for all the major events, timelines, photobooth templates, and a general list of songs we wanted played on the dance floor. Day of our wedding, Matt was wonderful about working with other vendors to keep to the timeline of events while accounting for flexibility for last minute requests. He was able to keep the dancefloor engaged at all times and did a wonderful job of reading the room for all friends, older relatives, and young children who were present. All the equipment that was used by Blacktie worked well - the speakers, microphones, dance floor lighting, uplighting on the walls, and the photobooth We highly recommend both Matt and Black Tie for DJ and entertainment services

We hired Black Tie Entertainment as our DJ and as our Wedding Coordinator. John Lukehart was our DJ and Victoria Lukehart was our Wedding Coordinator - they were both FANTASTIC! John has a lot of experience as a DJ which made the planning process very smooth. He offered suggestions on song choices, styles, and timing. He also did a great job on the day-of with reading the room and being an emcee to make announcements and steer the crowd. We especially loved his house remixes! John was so much fun to work with. Victoria was very responsive and paid close attention to all the details both on the day and at our rehearsal. She communicated and coordinated with all of our vendors which took a lot of stress off of us in the planning process. She is a clear communicator and a problem solver. She is also incredibly personable! It was amazing to work with John and Victoria - they were so in-sync and it helped our day run perfectly smooth! We highly recommend John and Victoria with Black Tie!

We had a great experience working with Kevin Bates from Black Tie Entertainment as our wedding DJ. We had two separate planning meetings with Kevin in advance of the wedding to make sure we were all on the same page, and everything went off seamlessly on the wedding day. We largely deferred to Kevin on the music selections during the reception based on general guidelines we gave him, and he did a great job.

Black Tie was an absolute pleasure to work with for our DJ, month of wedding coordinator, and photo booth needs. Every person we interacted with operated with the highest level of professionalism and ensured we had the smoothest and best wedding day possible. DJ Mike killed it. He listened to us intently and nailed our vibe perfectly. People that never danced were on the dance floor and the majority that loved to dance were happy all night long. Coordinator Becca was also fantastic. She went above and beyond before our big day, and assisted with ironing our our timeline and final walkthrough. She had every detail covered on the big day itself and kept our day running smoothly. When you get married you do not want to have to sweat the tiniest details, and we did not have to do that because of her expertise. A stand up group all around. Thank you!

We had a great experience with Andrew Nelson from Black Tie Entertainment! When our original DJ from Black Tie had a conflict, they had Andrew ready as a replacement, and he stepped in seamlessly. He followed all of our song picks and preferred genres from the comprehensive planning portal, and he also paid attention to the vibe from our guests and kept up the energy.

Chris was amazing!! He kept the dance floor going all night long, and had the best energy. His setlist was exactly what we envisioned. He was great to work with, and didn't skip a beat when we had to switch to our rain plan day of. We've had so many guests ask for his information as he's just that good!

I had an immense pleasure working with Eddy Bobby of Black Tie Entertainment and it was no doubt the best experience you could ask for in both DJ and MC services. The way he played music and light up the room and everyone’s mood is something we appreciate so much because it’s hard to find that at weddings we have been to. Eddy has massive knowledge of the wedding industry and he knows his art well. During our meetings leading up to the wedding, I requested a scavenger hunt game for guests and despite never hosted something like that before, Eddy executed the game wonderfully with his humor and fun music. We all had so much fun watching the guests enjoy playing it. The music he played was incredible. He respect our music lists (Hiphop/ EDM) and only made it better. Our dance floor was full the ENTIRE night. I also highly recommend uplighting and dance floor lighting because it makes a huge different to the ballroom at night. Also, the communication part was so thoroughly and professionally done. He made sure to send out the timeline to all of the vendors involved and never left an email unanswered. Stephi was an absolute professional as our wedding DJ. Her communication was excellent, and she made us feel confident and relaxed through our pre-wedding meetings. Stephi skillfully incorporated our song requests and used her expertise to keep the dance floor lively all night. She ensured smooth transitions during our ceremony and perfectly captured the mood we wanted for our special day. With Stephi, we never had to worry about cheesy antics—just great music and a fantastic time. We highly recommend her for any wedding!

We were very happy with the service from Black Tie Entertainment for our wedding. We had our DJ, photobooth, and month-of coordinator from this vendor and they all did a fantastic job. They have an organized system and kept the whole night running smoothly. DJ Eddy kept the energy up, many of my guests said they danced the whole night!

DJ Gene Griffin was our DJ for our June 2024 wedding. We could not have asked for better service, professionalism, and kindness. The booking process was very smooth, and we had several meetings prior to the wedding to perfect every detail. Gene was absolutely amazing and we received so many compliments on his work from our guests! Gene quickly adapted to any changes needed on the spot. We are so impressed by his experience and skill. She was able to give us advice throughout the entire process and we had an absolute blast the night of the wedding! Mike Interdonato was our wedding DJ and did a fantastic job! He included what we wanted played on our day and mixed in songs that would vibe with our guests. Throughout the planning process Mike was easy to reach and talked us through some of the extras for our wedding day to see if they would enhance our experience or not. Mike does a great job of also MCing the night with things like introductions, giving our guests direction, and more. Mike would be a great pick for your wedding DJ.

We booked John as our wedding DJ, and from the very first meeting he was professional and helpful in turning our ideas into reality for our wedding. He kept the energy up during the reception and was very easy to work with. He helped us organize the reception details so everything flowed easily and kept us on track throughout the night. He even hosted a brief trivia session during the reception, which all the guests loved!

DJ Mike is the absolute BEST!! My partner knew him from his sister's wedding and events and he was the greatest to work with! He helped to give us such amazing suggestions and things to think about that we hadn't for our reception and ceremony. He was great with MCing and he worked so well with all of the other vendors! None of our vendors ever worked with each other before and the whole thing just ended up being seamless! DJ Mike can also really read the crowd and knows how to turn things up so everyone has an amazing time. We got SO many compliments about how great he was and even have some friends asking for his information, which we will definitely be sharing!! We enjoyed working with Eddy Bobby of Black Tie Entertainment for our DJ and MC needs for our wedding. Eddy fulfilled our requests exactly as we had discussed in our video calls leading up to the wedding. He has a very friendly personality and is easy to work and communicate with. Eddy’s extensive experience is evident in the way he chooses music to play at just the right time based on the mood of the crowd. We had a few must-plays, but we left most of the creativity and intuition up to him on what was most appropriate for the moment — he delivered! All our guests (and us!) had an awesome time thanks to the music coordination and selections! It’s no surprise Eddy won DC Area DJ of the Year for 2023 with Black Tie Entertainment. He is second to none!

After a great initial conversation with John we hired Tony as our MC/DJ. He was an absolute pleasure to work with as we planned the day, paid close attention to the special moments we wanted to have and made them happen day of, and kept the dance floor filled the whole night! All of our guests told us that our wedding was the most they had danced, even our more reserved friends and family couldn’t resist! We also got uplighting for them, which I was hesitant about but completely transformed our wedding space with minimal effort on our part. I highly recommend John and Tony for your wedding entertainment!

Absolutely the worst vendor to work with hands down. Rick was terrible and rude throughout the entire process. Black tie in general made everything 10x more complicated than it needed to be. I had countless meetings with Rick where if I kindly declined his suggestions (ie. I didn’t want to do an anniversary dance) he would start ignoring me and try to talk my husband into why he thought it was a great idea. He interrupted our first look trying to loudly introduce himself to my father in law who was standing nearby trying to discretely enjoy the moment and we had to politely ask him to leave as this was a private moment. One of my guests informed me that he actively rolled his eyes at me after a conversation we had during our reception. My wedding coordinator almost asked him to leave during the reception because he was being so rude to my guests. I had countless guests come up to me and tell me about an unpleasant interaction they had with Rick. Please please do not let this man hijack your wedding like he did ours

We booked Black Tie Entertainment for our wedding and Eddy was our DJ. He was great. He was communicative throughout the whole process, played the right songs at the right time, and was so friendly. While dancing, multiple guests commented on how he was crushing it. We also opted for a photobooth. Our photobooth operator was also great. He took boomerangs of us during our first and parent dances and also took pictures of the dances and turned them into photo strips for us. It was a very sweet touch we were not expecting but were happy to have.

We cannot recommend Black Tie Entertainment, specifically Matt, enough! We had the best time at our reception and that was largely due to the direction and music provided by Matt! He delivered exactly the vibe we wanted and so many people never left the dance floor! We have had so many complements about the music at our wedding! We also didn’t have any issues with people not being able to hear the ceremony or any of the speeches.

We recently booked Stephi B as our DJ and emcee through Black Tie Entertainment for our wedding reception and could not be happier with how well it went. Stephi B. was communicative throughout the planning process and provided thoughtful insight for the event. By the time the day came we had no doubt that Stephi was the right choice for our wedding and were happy to place our trust in her hands. Stephi ran the events wonderfully, she listened to and executed all our requests. She was a joy to work with and very professional. We received SO many compliments from guests about how music was played. We would absolutely recommend Black Tie and Stephi to anyone looking for a high-quality DJ for their event.

Great company for hiring a DJ. We had a preliminary conversation with a Booking Agent to determine which DJs would be a good fit for what we wanted. We opted for less interaction with guests and got a few choices to pick from. After choosing our DJ, we got to use a digital planning tool to pick our music for both ceremony and reception. This tool was great and allowed us to choose our music as early as we wanted so we weren't scrambling to figure things out right before the event. We had a few conversations with our DJ, Jason, before the event just to go over specifics and he was very polite and responsive to our requests. On the day of the event, I ended up feeling a bit lightheaded before the reception so we opted to not do our first dances prior to dinner. Jason had the great idea to make our last dance into a first dance for us, and I was very happy that my husband and I got to still share that moment together.

This review will not adequately portray how helpful John was from start to finish. As soon as we had our first meeting with him, any doubts that we had about our DJ went out the window and we were able to focus on other vendors. He was honest, responsive, genuine, and most importantly he really showed up when it mattered. He kept the dance floor packed, narrated the evening perfectly, and ensured that the bride and the groom were getting the full wedding experience. We had several guests tell us that John was the best DJ that they had seen at a wedding, and we could not agree more. Thank you for everything John and Black Tie!

I first did my discovery call with John, who handles most discovery calls to place you with the right DJ based on your personality and style. I love this because he takes time to get to know you and your style, and what kind of guests you are expecting. He thought Justin would be the best fit, and he was absolutely right. After booking, we had access to a planning portal. We could add in our timeline, our song choices, and it was very easy to go back in and make modifications. You can even link your Spotify Account with it and add songs directly from your playlists. I do feel like the one adjustment to be made to the planning portal is that it didn't seem like all songs available on Spotify were also available in their song list. However, when talking with Justin, he reassured us he would get the right versions and that was that! Planning: Justin was SUCH a breeze to work with! After our initial call with him, my husband and I looked at each other and said "holy crap he is good!" We were able to rely on him with his idea of how the flow of the day would go, gave us recommendations for music choices and how to structure the reception. When we wanted to change elements, he gave his professional opinion but always let us take the lead on how we wanted the day to go. I changed my mind probably 100 times. He never made me feel like he was frustrated. He also made recommendations based on lighting (which we ended up not needing because the lighting in the barn was great on its own), which was much appreciated. The week before, he even gave me a follow up call (which I always appreciate because I am an anxious, over planner) just to check on all the last minute song selections I had sent him, before the planning portal closed. We also added on a Selfie Booth, which was a hit with everyone! Even with no wi-fi in our reception location, everyone still got their photos and it was a great addition! The day of, Justin was absolutely seamless. Music worked perfectly, and was able to handle our outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour as well as our reception seamlessly. The morning of, I realized I had not communicated a major change to the set up for the reception, and he checked in to ask if he could make an adjustment to make the night flow better. I agreed (at that point not even having it on my radar!) and my god I'm glad we did! He is so experienced that the new set up was perfect and did not interrupt any of the reception space and made for a VERY lively reception! Everyone was dancing all night, and it had such amazing energy that we even got the catering team on the dance floor for a few songs! He made sure we had our last, private dance and coordinated our send off, and was so pleasant the entire time. He made sure to highlight songs or point out the meaning behind them (using my parent's first dance song for the anniversary dance) and it meant so much to me and my husband. If he didn't live in Richmond and I lived in DC, I would be hiring him for all of my work events (and even then, I'm tempted!) I never once thought about the flow or structure of anything, because he was handling it all! He worked so seamlessly with all of our vendors and I CANNOT recommend him enough! Even the driest crowd would loosen up and boogy with a Master of Ceremonies like Justin. Justin - thank you for being so accommodating and patient with us! You were an absolute DREAM to work with!"

The TL;DR? DJ Mike and Black Tie are the best there is. DJ Mike is the patron saint of stressed brides and good sound. I'm a musically inclined person with a very specific sound in mind, but leave it to Mike to elevate it that much more. Planning the music was the easiest and by far the most fun part of the entire wedding planning process. Everyone at BT has been awesome and approachable, and made the process so streamlined and seamless. Mike was really the cherry on top of it all. If you're looking for a DJ who will make you feel pumped, energized, and ready to party - he's your man. Not only that, but he really listens to you and wants to capture your style and your energy for your big day and takes note of the nuances, special moments, and "things to know" so he can personalize the experience. Everyone remembers good music, good food, and good drinks. If you let Mike take care of you, you're going to get good music and then some. His attention to detail and creative suggestions really helped my 'sound' vision along, and he really knows his stuff. You can tell that he cares about his craft and giving you the best experience. He even talked me off the ledge about potential rain that would ruin my outdoor ceremony - he's the bride whisperer. And that ain't an easy task. Music isn't going to change the forecast or magically decorate a last minute space I didn't plan for, and somehow he's Mr. Miyagi'd my brain to take a chill pill because he'd set the mood and the ambiance to make those worries go away. Don't even think twice about it - go with Black Tie, snag Mike Interdonato if you're a smart cookie - and know that your big day or event will be in great hands, as will your sanity with the hundred other tasks you're juggling in your bride brain. This should be the fun part of planning and it certainly was. If that doesn't make you feel warm and fuzzy inside, I don't know what will. From one type-A bride to the rest of the bride tribe, Nike says it best: just do it.

DJ JOHN IS THE GOAT!!!! Simply put, Black Tie Entertainment was absolutely phenomenal to work with. John Lukehart worked with us from start to finish to make sure our big day went flawlessly, and BOY did he deliver! He understood exactly what kind of energy and party we were aiming for and made sure both the married couple and our guests had the best time. Every last detail, from the gorgeous mood-setting uplighting to the endlessly fun photobooth, was absolutely perfect. He also allowed so much flexibility with our song selections, even ensuring that our "no play list" was followed. He's kind, knowledgeable, and incredibly funny-- so many of our guests were blown away by him! His assistant, Angelica, was also spectacular and even put together a little video clip to help us remember our big day. 💕 I cannot recommend them enough!!!

DJ Rick is the man! He was patient and flexible during the planning process, offering guidance and thoughtful input to help us put together a seamless wedding from ceremony prelude through to the end of the reception. He provided lapel mics for both our officiant and my dad who gave a welcome at the beginning of the ceremony. The playlists flowed perfectly from one to another. Both my husband and I were grateful for his attention to detail in collaborating with our coordinator and photographer creating our wedding timeline to make sure everyone was where they needed to be for the important moments. It helped alleviate a lot of my anxiety! Rick really cultivated the vibe we were going for during the reception since neither of our families are that dance-y, we didn't want a DJ who tried too hard to get guests out on the dance floor. I think we were all pleasantly surprised at how many people ended up on the dance floor by the end of the night! We love you, Rick!

DJ Rick Pfamatter was fantastic! He was professional, communicative, and very helpful. His tools and advice helped us immensely with timing and planning out our reception events. He did a great job with ceremony and reception music. All of our guests had a great time on the dance floor thanks to Rick!

DJ Kevin Bates at Black Tie Entertainment did such an amazing job for my wedding at the Silk Mill in Fredericksburg VA and I could not recommend him more. Booking with Black Tie was super easy, and they provided a great online site to stay organized with planning not only the music, but other key events in the ceremony and reception. Working with Kevin was almost like working with a wedding planner; he made suggestions for fun dances/activities to include in the reception and provided great advice for the timeline of events. You can tell that Kevin really cares about going above and beyond his contracted duties to make sure guests have a great time. A wedding DJ does so much more than play music; Kevin also managed to timing and transitions from the ceremony to cocktail hour, cocktail hour to dinner, dinner to speeches, speeches to dances, and other activities. He also made sure to double and triple check the pronunciations of my family members' Chinese names before announcing them, which I really appreciated. Kevin provided great music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. At the reception, he kept the dance floor going all night long, and he mixed in our requested songs at the perfect times. He definitely knows his audience and was great at picking music that appealed to both millennials and our older family members. He was also super flexible and accommodating in making last minute changes to the mother/son dance and other events during the reception. I thought my wedding day went perfectly, and DJ Kevin Bates is a large part of the reason why!

6 months later and I'm still healing how AMAZING DJ John was at our wedding! He was everything we asked for and more. He came early, he kept in contact with us for 2 years as we rescheduled around COVID issues, he did all the things we asked for, and then some as I couldn't pick the uplight colors until we were in the venue doing the setup. He smoothly worked with the coordinators I hired and kept things moving when the plans changed on a time. It was some of the best money we spent!

Wonderful service. Solomon worked with us to create the perfect day through music and coordination for the ceremony, cocktail hour, toasts, and a fun reception! We loved every minute of it. I surprised my husband with the moonlight dance option they have, while everyone assembled outside for the exit we danced to the song we strongly considered for our first dance which made for a special moment just for us. It was perfectly executed!

We had nothing but an amazing experience with Black Tie! From our first call with Matt, I knew we were in great hands. Matt recommend Mike for our wedding and he was spot on. Mike was so attentive and thorough with us throughout our planning process. He was so fun to work with and made our wedding an amazing night!! Being a musician in a wedding band myself, music was always going to be one of the most important aspects of our reception. I wanted my bandmates to enjoy the night, so we decided to hire a DJ. Black Tie Entertainment was professional from our first contact. We first talked to Matt and he was great, providing us with a ton of information and options to work with. Eddy Bobby was the DJ we chose for our wedding, and we couldn't have been happier with him! We met a few times via Zoom which was great, and we really appreciated how clearly the company as a whole communicates. Eddy provided music/sound for us in three different spaces at our venue (ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception) seamlessly. Our dance floor was packed the entire night, mostly due to Eddy's song selection and brilliant transitions. The gear he brings is top of the line, compact, and puts out an amazing sound. If you are looking for a DJ that is going to satisfy everyone from your most discerning music snobs to your elderly family members, Eddy Bobby is your guy!

Eddy Bobby was our DJ at our October 08, 2022 wedding. He was amazing! So many of our friends have told us that they have never danced so much at a wedding. Eddy was a great communicator and we had a wonderful experience. We also rented a Photo Booth and lights from Black Tie Entertainment and highly recommend them as well!

Justin was the BEST EVER!!!! We had so much fun we decided to extend him for an hour and he happily said yes. He was incredible. Book him now!!!!!!!

Working with Matt was a breeze! He was extremely organized, communicative, and knowledgeable! He took out a lot of the guesswork when it came to our big day and the timeline of everything.

DJ Tony kept our dance floor packed all night long! From our first meeting I could tell that Tony was a professional and would do an amazing job at our wedding. We gave him full reign with the music for our reception and he did not disappoint! He was on the mic enough during the dancing to keep our guests engaged but not so much that it was imposing. Even my 60 year old Dad couldn’t stop raving about how great Tony was!

We are so happy we hired Black Tie to DJ our wedding. DJ Eddy Bobby was amazing. He was professional and we felt at ease talking with him over Zoom during our initial consultation. Everything was explained clearly. He was great at aiding in wedding timeline and also was able to add my processional music last minute (the day before). He was prompt and did a great job at keeping the guests on the dance floor. We also got the uplighting which made the reception room look even nicer. DJ Eric Jaundoo came to us by chance a week before our wedding date. Our original DJ could no longer fulfill his contract and our coordinator connected us with DJ Eric, who graciously stepped in and did an incredible job. We had a Zoom meeting to get to know each other the weekend before, and we connected immediately. He had great suggestions for each portion of our wedding and reception – our guests commented on the instrumental music playing as they arrived and they loved it. He hit every cue perfectly, took our suggestions to heart, and we know he took our Do Not Play List seriously! By the end of the night, the dance floor was packed. Would absolutely recommend DJ Eric for your wedding or event!

We worked with Black Tie from back in 2019 when we first got engaged. They were excellent through our first date change and then ultimate postponement (and thus cancellation of our first contract). When we finally got our new date, they were easy to work with, picking up right where we left off, and even waived the deposit (since this would technically be a second contract with them). We worked with DJ Kevin who was also easy to work with and rolled with the many last minute changes we had with a smile. I can't recommend them enough.

My husband and I just got married in July 2022. We reached out to Black Tie and spoke with Matt about finding the right DJ/MC and a lighting package that worked for us! Matt was super responsive and knowledgeable about all the DJs and asked us the right questions to find us our perfect DJ. He paired us up perfectly with DJ Eric Jaundoo. From our initial interview with Eric, we knew he’d be the best DJ/MC for our wedding! We had a very diverse family and friend group, along with my husband and I having very different music tastes. Eric was able to match both my husband and I’s vibe throughout the whole night. The dance floor stayed packed from the moment it opened. Eric was super helpful with the process of picking songs, giving us suggestions or ideas when we were stuck. He helped us to create the day of timeline. He was professional, energetic, responsive, personable and absolutely amazing! We loved DJ Eric & Black Tie Entertainment! We highly recommend him for your next wedding or event!!

My husband and I attended a wedding in July 2021 for a friend of ours, and at this time, we were still in the beginning stages of planning our own wedding. At our friend's wedding, we knew immediately that we wanted to use the same DJ company. In the early stages, we worked closely with John, and he helped pair us with our DJ, Eddy, and he nailed it! Eddy was simply fantastic and kept the party going. He matched our aesthetic perfectly and was extremely easy to work with. The dancefloor at our reception was packed all night. Best night ever! We hired Rick Pfamatter for our wedding and he did a wonderful job! Rick was very helpful in the planning of the timeline and giving advice on when certain things would happen more naturally. He did a wonderful job working with our other vendors to keep our wedding flowing and of course did a great job with the music! DJ John Lukehart was the best DJ we could have hired for our wedding! Our music choices were so important to us, but we didn’t want to have to curate the entire night. John effortlessly helped us thread that needle of creating a ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception vibe that was perfectly “us” without us needing to spend hours coming up with suggestions. He was so attentive, both before the wedding (we had multiple planning calls) and of course during the wedding; he checked in with us several times throughout the night to make sure we were in the loop and wouldn’t let the night end without making sure he hadn’t missed any songs that were super important to us. John is also a phenomenal emcee, and he helped us to really personalize our reception: after getting to know us a bit and learning that we love doing pub trivia, he suggested that we could write questions and he could host a trivia game after the dinner, and it was a total hit! Such a special touch that we never would have thought of ourselves and will cherish the memory of forever. Black Tie Entertainment as a company is super easy to work with, and we also hired a photo booth through them, which the guests loved and resulted in some really awesome photos. We had such a great experience with Jason Paige from Black Tie Entertainment for our June 2022 wedding. We booked him pretty far in advance as it was important to us to have a DJ that would keep people on the floor throughout the night and really read the room. Prior to the wedding, Jason was prompt with answering emails and joined zoom calls with me a few times to chat details. At the wedding, Jason did a fantastic job of tailoring the music choices to a little bit of everything for everyone. We had so many compliments on how well he did! He was prompt for arrival with set up, and we appreciated him sticking with our "must play", "can play" and "do not play list." What really stood out to us during our wedding was that Jason stayed an additional 10 minutes after his end time to play a private last dance for me and my husband. It was the only time during the wedding that we had to ourselves to enjoy each other's company and just be together. This little act of kindness really went a long way, and it is a moment we will cherish forever. Jason is a fantastic DJ and we highly recommend him as well as Black Tie Entertainment. Justin Everson from BlackTie Entertainment is who you need on your wedding day. Full stop. Justin was super involved from the get go, unafraid to push to make our wedding the best it possibly could be, and created the absolute best atmosphere for the entire duration of our wedding day. Justin was highly recommended to us by another wedding industry pro and it was wonderful to know that we could rely on his abilities without worrying about curating an extensive list. We simply gave some suggestions to let him get a sense of our preferences and a no play list, and he took it from there to build out a perfect environment for every phase of the day from pre-ceremony all the way to jams that had everyone up and jumping around. Justin, thank you so much for working so hard--our friends have deemed it the most fun party ever, and it is all thanks to you!

Mike was such a breeze to work with through our wedding planning process! We felt from start to finish that we were in good hands. He had great suggestions for helping us achieve the evening we envisioned with fun and enthusiasm. We didn’t have a single worry under Mike’s direction. A fun time was had by all on our wedding day!

After discussing our needs and budget, Black Tie Entertainment set us up with quick interviews with a few of their DJs and we hired DJ John Lukehart. John was extremely helpful in finding and choosing processional and recessional music, and he made suggestions for cocktail and dinner music that made the evening feel so much more us! John did a phenomenal job as MC and kept the dancefloor packed the whole night!

We hired Black Tie Entertainment to do the sound and music for our wedding ceremony and reception in Fairfax County. We were impressed with their professionalism, courteousness and expertise. We worked with Matt Johnson, who paired us with our DJ, Eamonn, who could not have been a better fit for our ceremony and reception. Eamonn was easy to deal with, very personable and really worked to meet all our music needs. He provided the mic and sound for the wedding ceremony and made it really easy on the officiant and we the couple. He provided the music both before, during and after the ceremony, the cocktail hour and the reception – all to our specifics. I thought it would be difficult to convey our music style and what we envisioned, but Eamonn nailed it with ease. He also handled all of the announcements during the wedding, including the introductions of the bride and groom, the send-off, the speeches and the bouquet toss. He was a real pro and we would recommend working with him.
