efore, he made the bride feel as if her very simple requests that prior weddings at our venue did with this same company were unreasonable and asking way too much, it was also very obvious that he did not read the form he required us to fill out as he continuously repeated the same questions with the wrong information and just kept saying “I’ve been there before, I know how this works”. At one point when I as the groom went to speak to Mike behind the booth I saw instead of our timeline or any of the important papers we provided him, he had a few key names written down on a napkin in front of him and the key times for dances and events on the dance floor way off, as he said “well I assumed…”. When there was no reason for assumption as we provided him the correct times on multiple occasions. Despite receiving a copy of our timeline and us filling out the information form he requested, he played multiple songs on our “do not play” list and missed many on our must play list. Mike also made many very unnecessary and just unprofessional jokes throughout the night. I would not recommend using Mike for anything you have.

I had numerous people asked what DJ we used and said it was the best wedding and the most people up and dancing they have ever seen at a wedding! They kept us on track and made the night a blast! If you’re looking for a DJ book black tie!! We also did the photo booth and it was a BLAST!! They made us a book with all the photos! Communication was great as well! Prices were extremely reasonable!

I really recommend getting the cold sparkler fountains because they were just so fun & really blew our guests away. It definitely added a special touch & looked great in photos.

He called us a few days before our wedding to go over our “portal” to ensure he had everything he needed on his end. During this call, he brought up a game we wanted to do during our reception. He said it was “really stupid” and we need to “actually greet our guests” and we need to rethink doing the game. (Clearly, we will greet and thank our guests, just wanted some form of entertainment as we weren’t doing a garter toss, dollar dance, etc) Next, he fought back and forth with our photographer/videographer when they wanted to use the quiet reception area to video/audio our vows to get us good quality for our wedding video. He said we couldn’t use the space because he was setting up and that’s more important. The next best place, was under the reception area in the basement, where we could hear everything upstairs. Next, he played the wrong song for the groom and his mother to walk down the aisle to (even after receiving this information on the portal and confirming it on our phone call). Next, he called the “big girl bridesmaid” out to the dance floor while a song about big girls was played and when she was too embarrassed to come out, he still continued to call her out to the floor ( how absolutely rude to my bridesmaid!!!). Lastly, I’d like to add he didn’t play many songs we had requested. We do completely understand he is a DJ and that’s his job, but I would’ve liked to hear some more songs I requested. After being told my wants are stupid and my husband walking down the aisle to the wrong song, I am so upset with how things turned out. I actually had an engaged friend ask me who my DJ was so she could avoid this DJ.

Black Tie also provided the photo booth, again they were so efficient, no long wait, everything was organized and the operator made a scrapbook as he printed out each picture. I have been to weddings where the DJ struggles to get the crowd going and it ruins the night- you will not have this issue with Black Tie! I really can’t enough good things about him! The photo album that was put together by their staff was such a wonderful gift to have to cherish all the memories of those who attended. I didn’t catch the name of the girl who worked out photo-booth but she was amazing! So kind and professional.

BTE has a website that helps you fill in all of the music/ timeline-related details which was incredibly helpful and helped us make sure we had thought of everything we needed to. Even during our phone calls before the wedding he was able to give us ideas for certain parts of the ceremony/ reception. Also, our venue has the potential to be tricky with sound because it was a "echo heavy" venue but when the ceremony started and throughout the reception you would have had no idea. He is amazing at what he does and highly recommend this company to any couple!

print an extra copy of each strip for a photobook that people can sign. It's included in the cost, so you don't pay any extra for it. It's also hilarious to look through because people take the best pictures. If you also have kids at your wedding, the kids love it just as much as the tipsy adults will! We fully recommend it!

He adjusted to our crowd - big dancers so he moved things along to get the dance music going...they were on the dance floor before the real dance music even started. Casey noticed and adjusted to get people out and dancing as quickly as possible. They are a true entertainment company and they really made our evening. It took so much stress off of us - we could not be happier with them or more thankful that they managed our wedding with patience and professionalism. Thank you Mike and Casey! We are forever grateful!

room requested this special song" and had the groom in a circle and had him dance to i'm too sexy for my shirt-anyone who knew how the groom is was like what?!! the groom wasn't happy with that.Third,i'm not a bridezilla but he messed one of my bridesmaids names up and i know we changed it but really?!I also didn't hear but a few of the songs we asked to be played...he gave my brother a hard time about a song that i had on the must play list...and waited til like the last few songs to play it.The my anaconda song was played and i was furious.We gave him a set list to play and i heard two songs off that whole list. I get it- he is a DJ and we aren't but for that kind of money-I was shocked at how much i felt like he was doing wrong.I will say the lighting was cool.I had a few people get a headache from all the lights but it was okay-All in all-I wouldn't do it again! that's for sure.

We were hesitant about it at first and we decided to do it last minute (like dinner was about to be served at our reception and we told him we were going to do it). It went by super fast and it was a great personalized addition to our reception! We also got the Photo Booth through Mike and it was a hit! Everyone loved going in there with different props and different groups of people. It served as an amazing and memorable guest book for us for years to come!
