DJ Rich with Black Tie Events was wonderful to work with from start to finish. He was available to answer questions and went over every little detail with us providing suggestions when we needed them. Rich was more than just a DJ and helped make sure we stayed on track with our wedding timeline throughout the night while also playing all of our favorite tunes. We would suggest DJ Rich and Black Tie Events to anyone!

I truly wanted to give this review 5 stars, but I couldn't. Our DJ was Bill, and I would make sure that you go over everything with him in detail if he's your DJ, because we were disappointed with his service.
During our bridesmaid/groomsman procession during our ceremony, the wrong song was played. The song that was played was supposed to be played for the mother/son dance during the reception. And even when our coordinator told our DJ to change the song, he continued to play the wrong song. We had to stop the processional to get the correct song played. When my husband talked to the DJ after the ceremony, he told him that he knew there were two songs by the same artist on our planning sheet, and he chose the first one on his list instead of looking at his notes. Furthermore, our officiants microphone stopped working shortly after the ceremony started and guests were unable to hear the majority of the ceremony. We also had our ceremony live streamed on Zoom so our grandparents that were unable to attend could still be a part of it, and they were also not able to hear. These events were disappointing and really put a sour note to the start of our wedding.
When we walked into our reception, we also realized that we did not have any of the lighting we had paid for. We were able to get a refund for that.
We also got a photobooth through this DJ company. Our attendant was amazing, but we had no idea that no one was going over to use it because there were some technical difficulties with getting the booth started. We heard from a bridesmaid at 9:15PM that he was going to close at 9:30, well before our reception ended at 11. Our DJ made an announcement to our guests and they didn't even know the photobooth was there. The attendant stayed a few minutes later than he should have, thankfully!
Lastly, our DJ messed up on some small, yet important details. Bill allowed my husband's extended family to do karaoke, and they didn't ask for the microphones to do that. He also did not calm down our guests during our Matron of Honor and Best Man's speeches, and the microphones did not work well. And he completely messed up our last song. We initially thought that our last song was going to be a private last dance, but he played it for everyone. While this was a bit of a happy accident since we enjoyed that moment with our guests, it was not what we expected. Then, when we thought that our guests were going to go outside for our sparkler exit, our DJ announced that our last song wasn't actually the last song and proceeded to play another song (which also turned into karaoke again). This is not what we discussed on our phone call with the owner and we were upset while our guests were on the dancefloor. When my husband went to talk to the DJ again about the mess ups, our DJ said that my father-in-law requested the song. While we didn't mind our DJ taking and playing requests, we specifically asked for a specific song to be our last song.
On a positive note, our DJ apologized for his mistakes and our dancefloor was never empty all night.
We were able to get a refund for the lighting and were compensated for the mishaps. However, I wanted to be honest in my review. Make sure you triple check during your planning call that everything is how you want it.
We had such a great experience working with Black Tie Events for our wedding this October! Rich was responsive, organized, and helpful throughout the planning process. Alex was our DJ and he did a perfect job of keeping track of our requests for special songs/announcements (ceremony and reception), as well as keeping the dance floor full for the reception. He had an involved, positive, and professional presence throughout the day. The volume, flow, and song choices were perfect. Thank you!!
We were so happy with the DJ and all services from Black Tie Events for our wedding. They made planning easy with their forms and DJ Songlist app, and they incorporated our unique musical tastes while also including songs for a wider audience. Rich was so easy to work with on the planning end, and Jorge was a wonderful DJ. Our guests also had so much fun with the photo booth! We highly recommend Black Tie Events.
Black Tie events was so great to work with. Rich (the owner) did a great job of communication prior to the wedding, and setting up our week before meeting and getting all of the songs we wanted. Alex was our DJ and did an amazing job. He did exactly what we asked of him, was outgoing, and played great music. We gave him a playlist but also freedom to mix it up, and he did just that. He played songs from our playlist, while also adding in songs he though fit the vibe of the crowd and everyone loved it. Our favorite part of Alex is how well he communicated throughout the night, and made sure we stuck to our schedule and timeline. He was there early to set up for our outside ceremony, had the music ready in the cocktail hour space, and a great set up in our reception room. We also thought the pricing was very good compared to other DJ companies we talked with. Would highly recommend Black Tie Events and Alex as a DJ.
I'm really pleased we chose Black Tie Events for our wedding. Rich was extremely attentive to our needs, and he paired us with an awesome DJ (Alex Ward). Alex was perfect for our event. Rich was very easy to work with. The forms to complete prior to the wedding were easy to follow and let him know what our son and new daughter-in-law wanted for the ceremony & reception. Rich kept things flowing throughout the evening, playing great dance songs, getting guests to participate in songs, he did such a good job! He is friendly, personable and professional. He provided a microphone for the pastor for the ceremony so everyone could hear his words. It was an overall GREAT experience!!!!

Well I will tell you we had the pleasure of Getting Rich with Black tie and I can tell you we could not have been happier. He kept everything in schedule and got EVERYONE on the ball dance floor. Black Tie Events was such a great decision for my wedding! They were so easy to work with, had an app to explore music, and were on board with all special requests we had. Our DJ, Jorge, was obviously a crucial part of our ceremony and reception and he knocked it out of the park. Our main request was to have people dancing all night and his music selection made that dream come true. I highly recommend Black Tie Events to anyone looking for a DJ!
Where do I even begin! Rich Leggit was a joy to work with from start to finish. We wanted to have a dance trio perform immediately before our introduction and first dance and he made sure it was perfect. He checked in with us several times to ensure we were still having a great time. He did a fantastic job of getting people on the dance floor (which isn't easy for a dry daytime wedding in January). And right before our sendoff, after everyone else had left the ballroom, he gave my husband and I time to have one more slow dance all to ourselves. A wonderful day was made better by having BTE as our DJ.
Highly recommend. I had Alex W as my DJ and he was very outgoing and played a great mix of old and new songs that everyone would know. Alex also would come to me and check in about what was going on and what he recommended for songs. I even got a CD at the end of the night of all of the songs we had played at our wedding!

Rich Leggit was an awesome DJ for our wedding! Rich himself was just the right mix of a professional and entertaining host as he guided the mood and energy of our reception with playful announcements and well-placed music. He spoke with us before hand to really get a feel for our style/personalites and he made some good recommendations that made the flow of the evening work better than originally planned. Also, Black Tie Events has a music app that really helped us search and categorize 95% of our wedding songs by ceremony, reception, cake cutting, etc. which was a huge convenience as we were able to sample and favorite a wide range of songs for each part of the wedding. Great experience!

We could not have asked for better DJs for our wedding than DJ Rich & DJ Courtney! They were truly phenomenal and went above and beyond for us on our wedding day! Rich was our DJ from day one, and he was so great! He answered all of our questions, gave us great ideas, and was super flexible and accommodating! At the very last minute (due to COVID), we decided to move everything except the dinner outside for our wedding! This meant we'd need a second DJ and set up, and Rich made it happen! He brought DJ Courtney, who killed it for our dance floor and moments like the garter and bouquet toss! He even surprised me by having all of the men who attended the wedding sing "Don't Stop Believing" to me. It was a moment I'll never forget! Rich & Courtney made our wedding dreams come true, and we could not recommend Black Tie Events more! They are phenomenal, and you will not be disappointed if you book them! Richard and I had our Flint Hill wedding last Friday, November 13th in Norcross. I knew Rich had been in the game for a long time and also knew a longtime friend in the business so I felt at ease that he would do great and take care of the entire evening! I was not wrong!!! We trusted him to select the music and he did a fantastic job. Although we had a little mishap where we had to turn down our music, he still listened and tried to make sure we were happy. A nice touch at the end was burning the songs we specifically requested onto a cd that was given to us after our last dance. Thank you so much!!! Top notch company and dj!

I don't normally take the time to write reviews but I felt I needed to in this case. Rich was absolutely incredible. I still cannot get over how seamless he made the night run. I never knew how much the DJ played a huge role in keeping to the timeline and managing the feel of the reception until my wedding, and I am so grateful I had someone as talented and experienced as Rich!
Rich with BTE was amazing! He made sure we kept the reception flowing and made sure we had a great time! My husband and I threw the best reception even in the midst of a pandemic with their help! They had a plexiglass between the DJ booth and dance floor, he wore a mask, and we made sure there was hand sanitizer everywhere. The photo booth they provided was also a HUGE hit! The day after he sent a slide show that he put together for us too of the night. It was so sweet!
Rich lived up to every five star review and then some! He was extremely helpful as we hurriedly planned this wedding for the third time during the pandemic. What a relief to have such a pro handle the details with ease and then add sweet touches to the entire wedding and reception. The sound set up was perfect - he was open to playing the songs we liked and knew just how to get everyone on the dance floor. Just a joy to work with and we feel blessed to have had him dj at our daughter's wedding.
BTE was a great choice. Our DJ always had people on the dance floor and played all the songs I requested. The app they have was really convent and super easy to use. They did our ceremony and reception, they provided mics for the officiate and people giving toasts. All around great experience.

We had first met Rich at an open-house wedding event and were impressed with his service. We worked directly with him to choose out our music and develop the schedule of events. There were extra things we wanted to do, such as the Money Dance and the Shoe Game, which Rich was more than happy to accommodate. He arrived on time for our wedding and surprised us by setting up lights that matched the color of our wedding to light up his booth. Overall, he was a great DJ and I would use him again if the chance arose.

Black Tie Events did not disappoint for our wedding earlier this month! Rich was so organized and had great communication leading up to our wedding. He made sure to make note and go over each section of the ceremony and reception and what we wanted played at each point. DJ Ross did a great job playing all the top songs we wanted during dinner and on the dance floor. I've been to weddings before where half the time the dance floor was practically empty, but I was pleased to see our floor full the entire night. I still have people telling me how much they loved the music and how much fun they had!

Rich and his team are amazing from start to finish! We were extremely late to our first meeting due to rain and traffic and Rich waited for us with a smile on his face. The follow-up meeting was well organized, quick, and answered all of our questions. We always got quick responses and they have a DJ app that made the playlist selection a breeze (and they could find anything else we wanted). Ross was our DJ the day of, and he was personable, interacted well with everyone, and made sure everyone was having a great time! They even made us a CD of the important music as a memento so we could remember our special day. We cannot recommend this team more for your big day!

As the parents of the Bride, we are incredibly pleased and happy that our daughter chose Black Tie Events to DJ her wedding at the Chattahoochee Country Club on 22 September 2018! The entire planning process was very simple and went very smoothly. We especially loved their flexibility with song selection. My daughter could be as involved as she wanted to be, and was confident that the DJ would take care of the rest. And He did! DJ Ross was phenomenal! The set-up was perfect, the song selection was perfect, the lights were perfect, his timing of events and flow were excellent, the cocktail hour and dinner music was very tasteful and appropriate, and best of all, the dance floor was PACKED the entire night…Ross was simply outstanding and he knocked it out of the park!

I picked Black Tie Events has a recommenced vendor through our venue (Payne Corley House). I wanted to make sure the DJ has worked there before and knew how things worked (set up and sound quality). Wow is all I can say. I wasn’t expecting to have that much contact with the DJ, but they made sure to check in frequently before the big day and check on things. We had phone conferences about music and they made sure we had everything we wanted. Day of, they played all the right music at the right times and did a great job at taking guests requests. Very friendly group of guys that I highly recommend!
I can't say enough about how helpful, accommodating & great Black Tie Events was at our wedding! We got so many compliments on our DJ & we didn't have to break the bank for them either! We loved them!
From the beginning black tie events has been amazing to work with. From their great customer service to their performance. Rich helped us out with the whole process and if I had questions he was always there to answer. We had them for our wedding and it was awesome. It is true what they say "the dj makes or breaks the event". Brett made our wedding! He was very receptive and accepted all requests we gave him. All our guest were all interactive and had a blast. Till this day, 8 days after the wedding, our guests keep calling and letting us know they had so much fun! We will definitely consider them again if we have a big event. Black tie events wont let you down!!! We are so glad we worked with them!

He helped me to pull together the extra lighting at the end and some special pieces for our ceremony and reception! He was prompt, very professional and yet knows how to have fun and keep the crowd involved! We received so many compliments on our wedding overall as one of the top people had attended and he was a part of making that happen! We are so grateful!

Leading up to our wedding Rich with Black Tie Events was extremely helpful in coordinating all entertainment aspects of our wedding! They even have an app to make playlists for different parts of your big day and add personal favorites that you want to hear. Tyler was our DJ for our wedding and we LOVED him. He made sure the provided sound system and mic for our officiant were perfect. But let’s talk about the reception. He had people dancing all night long and there wasn’t one song played that people didn’t like. He knows how to feel out the crowd and keep the party going! We had the BEST time!! Black Tie Events is a fantastic choice for wedding DJ! Brett did a great job at both my wedding and my sister's wedding. Both Rich and Brett were very easy to work with, and their song list and iTunes app make selecting special songs for the reception very easy. Brett did a great job playing a variety of songs that perfectly fit the different parts of the reception. I've had numerous guests comment after the wedding about how good our DJ was. I highly recommend Black Tie Events!

Great experience with Black Tie Events! Rich knows what he is doing and gets the job done! Our dj for the event was Tyler, and he was exactly the style we wanted. My only (minor) complaint was that we ended a little early, and since the playlist my husband and I created was too long, some of our favorites weren't played. I wish we had gone back and narrowed it down to our "must plays" once we realized it was too long. Still 5/5 recommend!

1) Music – Black Tie has a great selection of music to choose from for events and they worked with us to ensure that music for our special moments (bridal procession, first dance, etc.) was perfect. He was able to take our song list and provide all of the right music at the right moments.
2) Time Management – With all that happens in a wedding it would be easy to get behind schedule. Brett did a great job helping us manage the flow of the reception to ensure that announcements were made at the right times and that we wrapped up on time.
3) Reasonable Pricing – It is easy to see costs rapidly soar when planning a wedding so staying within budget is important. Black Tie Events pricing was reasonable and helped us to stay on budget.
I would very much recommend Black Tie Events for any future event needs.

Rich was an awesome DJ and so easy to work with. I was worried nobody would dance at my wedding, and I love to dance, so it made me so happy to see literally everyone on the dance floor! He did a great job making guests feel comfortable and also played all the songs I asked. He was really kind and even sent us a video of moments he had captured from the night!
The DJ was so great and helped make our day amazing by playing the perfect music. We filled out a list of songs and he played them perfectly for us during our day. I would highly suggest this professional and fun vendor! My guests and I were dancing all night!
We used Rich Leggitt for our October 2017 wedding and I could not be more pleased! We had a smallish wedding of 65 and I was so worried no one would dance or that it would feel like a small wedding, but this was not the case thanks to Rich! DJ Ross was incredible at my wedding this past Saturday. He knew how to keep the party going and really made the dance floor the highlight of the night!
We used Black Tie Events as they were the preferred vendor for our venue in June 2017. We did not have a good experience, which I am hoping was an off night. Our ceremony had several glitches from mics not being on to our recession song being played three minutes into our ceremony and a few mic scratches throughout. We paid extra to have a speaker outside for the reception and it was not placed outside; we had a pre-meeting with Rich; another DJ did our event and it was as if the two didn't talk through the transitions from the pre-meeting-- we had to cue the firsts (dances, etc) in the moment. Songs were not cued timely, so in the first 30 minutes there were several pockets of silence as our DJ was setting up the next song. I had heard great things about this company, but our experience was inconsistent. I did reach out to the owner, Rich, but he never returned my call back.
Our DJ did such a great job! Having our chosen ceremony music made it so special, and he helped all the guests have so much fun at the reception. A lot of weddings I've been to it's hard to get guests dancing, but the music was so fun that just about everyone was on the dance floor at our wedding!
DJ Rich with Black Tie Events was awesome. Professional and fun, he kept my guests on the dance floor and a smile on my face all day! He also took a very special video of the reception and tons of pictures. I was amazed and so thankful! He really went above and beyond to make our music and our day perfect. We had DJ Tyler and he was better than I could have asked for! We didn't have alcohol at our wedding so I was worried guests wouldn't dance, but he played the best songs for our group and so many people danced the night away! He also did music for our outdoor ceremony and it was absolutely perfect! I highly recommend Black Tie Events! I would definitely use them again and again.

Black Tie Events was truly amazing to work with. They did the music for both our ceremony and reception and multiple guests commented to us on how great the music was. Our DJ, Brett, threw the party we always wanted to celebrate our day! We had a wide variety of ages at our wedding from our friends in their 20s to many over 70 and EVERYONE felt like they had the time of their lives thanks to this wonderful DJ. High class and very easy to work with!
The DJ from Black Tie Events did an absolutely incredible job! He played all of our songs just as asked. He played all the genres we asked him to and none of the ones we asked him not to. He really kept the party going! He was absolutely fantastic!

Not only were they affordable, they did a phenomenal job at the wedding and making a playlist was one of the easiest tasks of the planning process. I am so happy we went with Black Tie Events to DJ our April wedding. Brett Leggitt was our DJ and he is awesome. He was just the right amount of being involved as we had hoped for. He wasn't overbearing and he got things done. Also, he kept the dance floor moving all night!
BTE has forms to fill out that help with both the ceremony and reception planning. We filled those out and the categories of music that we'd like to have played. Brett did a great job of picking from that list and mixing in other songs that fit. I think there were people on the dance floor all night long, which is exactly what my husband and I wanted.
I highly recommend Black Tie Events for any occasion. Rich was incredibly pleasant and professional to deal with and he made sure we were in good hands with Brett. Thank you for being a part of our big day and for keeping the party going. Greg was AWESOME! My biggest fear was people wouldn't dance at our wedding and Greg kept the dance floor packed all night long. He read the crowd very well, and threw in slow songs when people needed a break. He was involved just the right amount and was extremely profession. People I've never seen dance my whole life were out there the entire evening. We highly recommend Black Tie Events and think the world of Greg!
My wedding was a week ago today. For me, the DJ was one of the most important parts to me. I had very specific things that I wanted the DJ to do for the ceremony and reception. Tyler was our DJ and was soo nice and kind and fun! He was exactly what I wanted for a DJ for my wedding. I can't say enough great things about Black Tie Events and Tyler! I would highly recommend using them, and if you want a fun lively DJ then definitely use Tyler!

Everything was smooth sailing working with Rich up until the wedding. He was very responsive to my emails and we sat down a week before to discuss final planning and song lists. Unfortunately our DJ who was supposed to come had an emergency and someone else was sent in his place. He was not prepared, did not engage the crowd like we asked and didn't play anything we wanted to hear. If you decide to go with them as a vendor I would recommend confirming day of or day before they have everything you want or else you'll be disappointed.
I LOVED Black Tie Events! We booked them for both the ceremony and the reception and couldn't be happier with the decision! Their online app was so simple to use and allowed us to really pick and choose the songs that worked for us, our friends, and our family. They also were super flexible with allowing us to change some things around at the last minute and executed without a hitch! Our DJ ("DJ Teej") was so much fun at the wedding and made us feel that we could ask him for anything!
Rich was a FABULOUS DJ! I've heard his son does a great job too. His organizational planning sheet was very helpful. He made sure everyone had a wonderful time at my daughter's wedding.
