For my wedding day, i had two separate drivers. He showed up 20 minutes early, which was nice, but we unfortunately ran about 10 minutes late. Because we were a little late, he ca...
lled us and proceeded to yell at because he had somewhere else he needed to be, and even threatened to leave. The last thing i needed was more stress before walking down the aisle. The second driver was about 10 minutes late from our pick up time, but he was much more pleasant than the first driver.
Guys were prompt professional and I looked fabulous stepping out of a stretch limo. Thanks for everything
Here is what is good: when I requested quotes from a bunch of people online, they were the first, and almost the only, people to get back to me. The prices were reasonable, and the...
limo we got was very nice... even though it took us a while to find the water.
The less good: they would only deal with you on the phone, and then it was hard to find a time when the guy could talk to you. It would really be easier if the person in charge would use email himself, but he seems not to. Join the 21st Century! Also, we never understood that they would want an impression of the credit card we used on the day of, so that caused a bit of a ruckus until our wedding party smoothed it over for us. Finally, the driver, though nice, wasn't really clear to us about where the a/c was (somewhere inside with us, I guess), and we all sweltered as a result.
My husband and I initially went with this company because we had a large wedding party and Black Tie Limo offered a 21 passenger stretch Hummer Limo for cheaper than most other com...

Right off the bat I felt the woman I spoke to was very unprofessional & seemed like she had no idea what she was doing. They had asked me to pay half of my total over the phone by credit card when I booked with them & I simply refused. I told them to mail me a contract & after I looked it over & agreed with it I would send it back signed with my deposit which was to be $100, not half the balance. She agreed & when I got the contract I realized they changed what we agreed upon.
I was told the price was $XXX for 5 hrs including tax & gratuity & yet the contract stated $XXX PLUS tax & gratuity.
I immediately scanned the contract into the computer, highlighted the errors & emailed her saying i didn't appreciate their attempt to scam me & that they didn't run a very professional business. She wrote back apologizing & said it was just 'a simple typo' and that I should correct it & send the contract back. I was very uncertain about going with this company, but it was too short notice to switch to another company & our budget couldn't fit it. We signed the contract & sent the deposit & crossed our fingers.
Come the day of the wedding, the driver called my husband & said he was running late due to traffic & he'd be about 20-25 minutes late. (He called 10 minutes before he was supposed to be there to pick the guys up to bring them to the church) So the guys ended up driving themselves to the church & the limo was going to just pick up me & my bridesmaids at my parents house. He called my husband again to ask him for directions to my parents (he told me later) & only managed to get there as we were walking out the door to drive ourselves.
When he got out of the car he was dressed in dark khaki's, an old shirt & scuffed brown shoes, not the tux he was supposed to be wearing. I didn't care personally, but it was certainly unprofessional. We got in the car & left to go to the church (about 4 blocks from my parents) & he stopped after 2 blocks, got out of the car & came to the back to ask for directions (after almost taking out my neighbor's car) which was when we realized he barely spoke English & had a very heavy, difficult to understand Russian accent.
We got to the church & afterward we left to go to the park for pictures (After he forgot the champagne & red carpet for the toast). He again needed directions & claimed both of his GPS's were broken. We had to have my brother, the Best Man, sit up front with the driver to ensure we didn't get lost or get to the reception late.
After all this, my father called the company and after a ridiculously long argument with them, they only offered to take off $100. Then proceeded to explain that the reason the driver wasn't dressed was because their NJ driver didn't show up, so they had to call the NY driver in last minute. (Which I still think is no excuse) And that was also why he didn't know his way around. (Again, you should have working GPS's...you're entire business is based on driving people around, being unfamiliar with an area is no excuse)
All in all, the limo did show up & got us where we needed to go & it fit all of us, but it certainly wasn't worth the money we saved. Not to mention the radio & TV didn't work & there were no drinks or snacks that
