About this vendor
We only host weekend weddings, so estimates given are for Friday - Sunday morning. Our point is surrounded by miles of water, with sunrise over the Choptank River and sunset over the Chesapeake Bay. We have no neighbors, no cut-off times, and we customize our weddings using our local vendors. We have no hidden fees. We set up meetings with your vendors and you pay them directly. Because we have one of the most unique locations, we had hosted some of the most unique weddings guests have ever attended. The privacy of our point ensures the freedom to make your day as special as you are as a couple. And with plenty of time, there is no rush enjoying the point with your friends and family.

od reason, so I am expecting naturalized garden beds and a more rustic feel.. but what you are getting is trash on the ground and weeds overrunning the gardens, peeling paint on the cottages and home itself. But that isn't even the issue, because as I stated this is a rustic feel and you know that going in. The real issue are the innkeepers, they are hot and cold and seem to have their own issues going on. We had been checked in for all of 15 minutes and were berated by both of them when my mother came to the property to drop off flowers and see the grounds. The miscommunication between the two innkeepers is profound, one told us we could have visitors then one said we couldn't. These two are rude, act inconvenienced by your presence and worst of all make you feel unwelcome. We had to pack up everything we had and move to the Wylder hotel with not just just us, but 4 other family members that were staying at the walnut as well. They did give us a full refund, so I left 1 star but do yourself a favor and stay at the Wylder or Tilghman inn.

nded by water on 3 sides makes you feel like you’re in a beautiful dream and provides so many different backdrops for wedding related events and photographs. Though the weather was iffy, we lucked out with 2 days of insanely gorgeous sunsets that we got to enjoy with our friends and family. Bob and Tracey are so wonderful!! They’re fun and easy to be around, and they went above and beyond in helping with wedding related tasks. They were always on site and available to manage vendors and communicate with our families who stayed on site. During the planning process, they were always happy to answer questions, provide suggestions, and help us work with our vendors. During the whole wedding weekend, they worked tremendously hard to get everything set up and ready, and by the end of the wedding weekend they felt like family. Our wedding weekend with Bob and Tracy at Black Walnut Point Inn was something we will treasure forever, and we would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone (for a wedding or just a visit)!

Bob and Tracy are incredible people who will help you craft the best day possible and who you will genuinely enjoy having at your wedding. Tracy officiated our wedding and brought the perfect amount of sentiment and humor to the ceremony. They truly make you feel like family while staying at Black Walnut and do everything in their power to make sure your weekend is amazing. Having the entire inn for the weekend was also wonderful. We loved being able to spend that time with the bridal party and family, and not have to rush to pack up and leave the venue after the wedding was over. This is a beautiful place to get married, made better by the wonderful people who run it! Can’t recommend it enough and can’t wait to visit again.

It is pretty stressful planning a wedding from across the country, and Bob and Tracy were super helpful in the planning process, vendor selection, and in answering all of my questions, no matter how random. The venue itself is beautiful, we had an amazing ceremony out on the lawn, and enjoyed a lovely sunset during our dinner reception. But Bob and Tracy are what make this place 5 stars; they are warm, welcoming, helpful, and treated us and all of our guests like family. They took photos of the whole weekend, which I did not at all expect and was amazing of them, and presented us with a DVD of them all when we left. I highly recommend the BWPI for an outdoor wedding venue, or even for just a weekend getaway!
Absolutely gorgeous wedding and reception venue on the eastern shore! Water views everywhere, the inn owners are very nice and helpful, it's was a dream wedding.
