They provided guidance and vendor recommendations and always responded in a timely manner. The food (Filet Mignon, Oak Crusted Chicken Breast and Fettuccine Alfredo) was delicious. Many of the guests, responded how delicious the food tasted. The chef was very efficient in responding to food allergies. The staff at bar also were great. Very friendly and worked hard honoring our specific liquor requests. Blackhawk CC has an onsite bakery chef so we were able to order the wedding cake and cupcakes directly which made things much easier. We highly recommend Blackhawk Country Club for your wedding reception or other event. You will not be disappointed!

w over Lake Mendota was gorgeous and the sunset pictures were amazing. The indoor space (reception area) was also very spacious with plenty of room for our guests. Orrin, the venue and event coordinator at Blackhawk, was absolutely outstanding. We cannot say enough good things about them. We had so many questions up until the wedding and they were very quick to respond, even on the weekends and when Orrin was on vacation in Montana. Orrin also went out of the way to put all of our decorations up before the wedding… We had so many compliments from the guests regarding the food, particularly the cake made by the in-house baker. The event staff were also great, helping make our wedding perfect. The venue is well worth the price.

The rest of the venue was just perfect, the building is so beautiful and there was enough space for people to get some quiet outside, chat by the bar area, or dance the night away on the dance floor. The food was great (even from people who don't usually like wedding food) and the cake was AMAZING. We would highly recommend Blackhawk for all weddings!!

I knew I was in good hands with her. We spent our entire day at the venue, getting ready in the locker rooms, first look portraits, wedding party photos, outdoor ceremony, and reception of course. perfect the day of the wedding. I don't know how we would have done it without Bailey's help. We dropped off all our wedding decorations the day before and the Blackhawk team set them up. They also worked with the florist to make the ceremony arch and table decorations perfect. It was so nice I didn't have to worry about anything on my wedding day. The ceremony site is beautiful overlooking the lake. The location was perfect for us - we had 180 guests. It also is a great location for pictures. The cocktail hour immediately after the reception was very nice and there was always a server with hors d'oeuvres around. We had multiple people tell us how great the service was both with food servers and bartenders. The bartenders we had were awesome and kept things fun. The dinner was delicious and we had many compliments from our guests for that as well. No one had to wait long for dinner to be served. The dance floor was the perfect size at the reception. We were lucky to have nice weather and the outdoor area was utilized by everyone, especially during sunset. So many of our guests had amazing pictures from the outdoor space overlooking the lake. Overall we are so happy we went with Blackhawk. They made everything so easy for us. The cake was amazing. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone for the ceremony and reception.

The view of Lake Mendota is breathtaking, which ultimately sold it for us. I am a UW-Madison graduate, and Madison and Lake Mendota are meaningful to us, so this venue outmatched many others. Throughout the process we worked with Bailey, who was incredibly attentive and accommodating. She is truly great and put up with quite a few shenanigans during our wedding. Guests absolutely raved about location, the view, the service, and the food. I had a relative tell me that they’ve been to countless weddings and Blackhawk had the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. We were so pleased with absolutely everything. There are wonderful spots to take beautiful pictures, the locker room for the ladies is awesome and there is a perfect space to get ready in, the staff cater to you and make you feel really special. Our day was completely perfect, and I cannot image getting married at any other venue. I highly recommend Blackhawk Country Club for your wedding!

They did everything from working with the florist who dropped off flowers to setting up my place cards, tables, guest book etc. So many guests complimented the food, the location, and how chill of a bride I was and that was all possible because I knew everything was in great hands with Blackhawk.

The view from Blackhawk is phenomenal; Lake Mendota provides a gorgeous backdrop for a wedding reception. If you are even thinking about having your wedding and/or reception at Blackhawk I highly recommend you at least take a tour! You will find that Blackhawk is a beautiful setting with affordable pricing and a world class staff. We can't recommend it enough!

Bailey helped me plan every minute of our wedding day, which started with us girls getting ready at 7:15am at the club with breakfast and mimosas, to our last song. She had a drink in my hand right when I arrived to the reception from the church and coordinated all moving parts. Multiple guests told us afterwords that it was the best wedding they had ever been to, and all of them were shocked when we told them how little it cost us! to work with. Since our first meeting we knew we were in good hands. They acted not only like reps of Blackhawk but practically as wedding planners! They made sure they knew every detail of our day (and responded quickly to my frantic 11 pm emails). They helped coordinate the rehearsal and literally set up everything for the day. They coordinated with my other vendors to make sure everyone was on the same page. When we got there everything was decorated perfectly to our taste. I was amazed that both of them were there the whole day, and kept making sure I was taken care of (offering drinks, making sure we ate, etc). And they stayed so calm! The rest of the staff was amazing, every time someone was near me they congratulated me. The comments I kept getting were how amazing the ceremony space was (literally, it's gorgeous) and how good the food and dessert were! We did really fun cupcakes and their pastry chef is amazing (people could not believe we got it from our vendor and not a bakery). The next morning, everything was all packed up for us to pick up early. I could not recommend this venue enough for your special day.

A year and a half out, they only had two dates available the following summer, so it was decided that day that July 19th was it! That following spring they redid their patio, and it was absolutely stunning. For my July wedding, it was the best place for our guests to hang out, enjoy the view of the lake, and drink cocktails. The food - PHENOMENAL. The service - PHENOMENAL. The setting - PHENOMENAL. Bailey and Rene are great to work with - They set up all of my decorations the morning of the wedding, and did a knock-out job. My father said people would come up to him for weeks to talk about how beautiful our wedding was. Out of all the venue's I have seen, nothing compares to blackhawk! I feel so blessed I was able to having my wedding there. It was a day to remember, and reasonable compared to so many other locations in the area!

y only allow 1 wedding at a time, so you aren't sharing the space with anyone else but the few golfers on the golf course. There aren't a lot of options for decorating, but it isn't needed with the walls of windows with views of the course and the lake. A dance floor is available on the far left part of the dining room and there is an attached bar area on the far right of the dining room. You have to use their catering and bar, but it's pretty reasonable and tastes good. Great place- we were very pleased!!!
