The staff and setting at Blackhawk are both perfect! Orrin was so responsive and fun to work with! Our guests commented on how attentive the staff were as well as how beautiful the view was! Orrin managed set-up, take-down, catering, beverages, rentals and so much more! Wow did Orrin and their team make our day so much easier!

My husband and I had our wedding at Blackhawk Country Club and abosltuely loved it. Leading up to the wedding Orrin was very responsive and willing to look into whatever we asekd about. The venue was beautiful. The teneth tee overlooking Mendota was beautiful for a ceremony. The rest of the venue was just perfect, the building is so beautiful and there was enough space for people to get some quiet outside, chat by the bar area, or dance the night away on the dance floor. The food was great (even from people who don't usually like wedding food) and the cake was AMAZING. We would highly recommend Blackhawk for all weddings!!

We looked at a lot of different venues and the views and the planner (Bailey) were why we chose Blackhawk. Gorgeous event space that can be transformed into whatever your vision is. Staff is friendly and professional and food is fantastic! And above all Bailey was so great to work with. She was so patient and kind and answered all of our numerous questions and made sure it was a day we will never forget.

They were so helpful, handling all the extra details like decorating and coordinating the entire day-of. The food and cake on-site was also amazing, we got a lot of compliments on them. The location is also beautiful. We are so glad we had our reception at Blackhawk!

We absolutely LOVED Blackhawk as our wedding venue. From the amazing views and sunset, beautiful and modern reception area, delicious food, and lovely ceremony spot, all expectations were met and exceeded. Bailey made the wedding process SO seamless and easy. Working with her made my life easier and she took care of everything - from rentals , to developing a timeline, to being the day-of coordinator. My wedding would not have gone so smoothly without her support and organization. She was the best wedding vendor to work with and was always extremely timely in responding to all my questions. I knew I was in good hands with her. We spent our entire day at the venue, getting ready in the locker rooms, first look portraits, wedding party photos, outdoor ceremony, and reception of course. Everyone loved the food and the views from the ceremony. I could not be more happy with this venue and it was the best decision I made in the wedding planning process by far!

Blackhawk CC was an amazing place to have our wedding reception, the entire experience from booking the venue to the actual day was seamless and enjoyable. Bailey and her team were very professional - communication was easy, nothing was missed and the details on the day went smoothly. All the guests raved about the location, lake view, food and service!

We had our ceremony and reception at Blackhawk and it was absolutely perfect. Bailey was so helpful throughout the planning process and the Blackhawk team made sure everything was perfect the day of the wedding. I don't know how we would have done it without Bailey's help. We dropped off all our wedding decorations the day before and the Blackhawk team set them up. They also worked with the florist to make the ceremony arch and table decorations perfect. It was so nice I didn't have to worry about anything on my wedding day. The ceremony site is beautiful overlooking the lake. The location was perfect for us - we had 180 guests. It also is a great location for pictures. The cocktail hour immediately after the reception was very nice and there was always a server with hors d'oeuvres around. We had multiple people tell us how great the service was both with food servers and bartenders. The bartenders we had were awesome and kept things fun. The dinner was delicious and we had many compliments from our guests for that as well. No one had to wait long for dinner to be served. The dance floor was the perfect size at the reception. We were lucky to have nice weather and the outdoor area was utilized by everyone, especially during sunset. So many of our guests had amazing pictures from the outdoor space overlooking the lake. Overall we are so happy we went with Blackhawk. They made everything so easy for us. The cake was amazing. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone for the ceremony and reception.

Beautiful venue! We received so many compliments on the views, food, and how well the night flowed. Bailey, the coordinator at this venue, was extremely organized and very helpful throughout the planning process, as well as the day of. I would highly recommend!

Blackhawk Country Club is an absolutely stunning wedding venue. It was the first of 3 that I toured, but one of countless that I researched online. Blackhawk had amazing reviews – with absolutely great reviews on the service and food, two things that were crucial for us. When I went to view Blackhawk, I fell in love. The view of Lake Mendota is breathtaking, which ultimately sold it for us. I am a UW-Madison graduate, and Madison and Lake Mendota are meaningful to us, so this venue outmatched many others. Throughout the process we worked with Bailey, who was incredibly attentive and accommodating. She is truly great and put up with quite a few shenanigans during our wedding. Guests absolutely raved about location, the view, the service, and the food. I had a relative tell me that they’ve been to countless weddings and Blackhawk had the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. We were so pleased with absolutely everything. There are wonderful spots to take beautiful pictures, the locker room for the ladies is awesome and there is a perfect space to get ready in, the staff cater to you and make you feel really special. Our day was completely perfect, and I cannot image getting married at any other venue. I highly recommend Blackhawk Country Club for your wedding!

I cannot say enough great things about Bailey and the whole team at Blackhawk country club. Not only is the spot beautiful, the food is good and they made the whole process extraordinarily easy. Bailey is wonderfully organized and worked with me to create a perfect experience the whole day. She worked as a great day of coordinator so I didn’t need to worry about anything at all on my wedding day. They did everything from working with the florist who dropped off flowers to setting up my place cards, tables, guest book etc. So many guests complimented the food, the location, and how chill of a bride I was and that was all possible because I knew everything was in great hands with Blackhawk.

I am beyond happy that we chose to have our wedding at the Blackhawk Country Club on July 14, 2018! The venue is simply stunning and you cannot beat the views! We had our wedding ceremony on the tenth tee and it was the most gorgeous backdrop for our day! Bailey and the staff at Blackhawk are simply fantastic! They listened to the vision I had for my day and made sure every detail was exacuted perfectly. Our dinner was delicious! Our guests raved about the meal and the CAKE! They LOVED the cake! Our day could not have gone better and that was largely in part to the staff at Blackhawk! I highly recommend this venue to other brides! Thank you Blackhawk for all your hard work!

We are so happy we decided to have our wedding at Blackhawk! We loved working with Bailey and her staff. It was easy to communicate with them and share our ideas and visions. The food is absolutely outstanding! We received so many compliments on the quality, and quantity, of our food. Our guests especially loved the cupcakes! The view from Blackhawk is phenomenal; Lake Mendota provides a gorgeous backdrop for a wedding reception. If you are even thinking about having your wedding and/or reception at Blackhawk I highly recommend you at least take a tour! You will find that Blackhawk is a beautiful setting with affordable pricing and a world class staff. We can't recommend it enough!

PHENOMENAL! My wedding was June 2, 2018. I have no complaints of having our ceremony and reception at Blackhawk Country Club. Bailey and staff was so kind and accommodating. I really felt taken care of. Wedding guests and my wedding party even made comments of how amazing Bailey was. She really made the whole experience wonderful for me. The location is beautiful, so I didn't feel like I even needed much for decoration. The food was amazing. I had the chicken phyllo and some others had pork. I LOVED mine and guests said the pork was great too!

Our wedding day was absolutely perfect thanks to Bailey and staff at Blackhawk Country Club! I wanted to host our wedding reception at Blackhawk since before we even got engaged--the setting in the neighborhood and lake/golf course views are absolutely spectacular. Bailey helped me plan every minute of our wedding day, which started with us girls getting ready at 7:15am at the club with breakfast and mimosas, to our last song. She was on top of everything throughout the entire year and a half planning process and I'm SO grateful for her organization and attention to detail. She had a drink in my hand right when I arrived to the reception from the church and coordinated all moving parts. Our wedding day at Blackhawk was absolutely perfect. I do not have enough kind words to say about Bailey and her entire staff. She was on top of every single little detail and made me feel calm throughout all of the planning and on the day of. The venue was beautiful and the ceremony outside ran smoothly. All of the serving and bartending staff was incredibly professional and helpful. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone and cannot thank Bailey enough for everything she did to make our day memorable.

Choosing Blackhawk Country Club as our wedding location was by far the best decision we made when planning our wedding. Loren/Gavin/Bailey were like full time wedding planners to us. They took care of every little detail for us, and we left feeling overjoyed with how our wedding and reception went. The value you get for their pricing is unbeatable, especially for a winter wedding. Multiple guests told us afterwords that it was the best wedding they had ever been to, and all of them were shocked when we told them how little it cost us! The food was incredible, the service was fast and responsive, and the bartenders took incredible care of our guests all night. I would recommend Blackhawk to anyone!

WOW! We had our ceremony and reception here May 2016 and we could not have made a better choice. We initially worked with Bailey and then Loren as well, and they were both amazing to work with. Since our first meeting we knew we were in good hands. They acted not only like reps of Blackhawk but practically as wedding planners! They made sure they knew every detail of our day (and responded quickly to my frantic 11 pm emails). They helped coordinate the rehearsal and literally set up everything for the day. They coordinated with my other vendors to make sure everyone was on the same page. When we got there everything was decorated perfectly to our taste. I was amazed that both of them were there the whole day, and kept making sure I was taken care of (offering drinks, making sure we ate, etc). And they stayed so calm! The rest of the staff was amazing, every time someone was near me they congratulated me. The comments I kept getting were how amazing the ceremony space was (literally, it's gorgeous) and how good the food and dessert were! We did really fun cupcakes and their pastry chef is amazing (people could not believe we got it from our vendor and not a bakery). The next morning, everything was all packed up for us to pick up early. I could not recommend this venue enough for your special day.

I can't say enough good things about our daughter's recent wedding reception at Blackhawk. The venue was spectacular (best view in town!), with a beautiful sunset over the lake just as dinner concluded. All of the decorations were set up just as we hoped they would be and the dining room looked beautiful. Service was on time and the food was fabulous! Chef Todd and his staff made the best beef tenderloin that I have ever had. Many of our guests commented on how good the food was. The grounds near the clubhouse also provided some great spots for photographs. All in all, a great spot for a wedding reception!

We had wonderful food for our wedding reception...everyone was complimenting the braised short ribs and almond walleye! Bailey was incredible to work with to iron out all the small details of our day. She also set up all our center pieces, set up the escort table, cake tables and put the chair covers on for us. Blackhawk staff was incredible to work with!

My husband and I looked for weeks at different places in Milwaukee and Madison for a reception hall that would accommodate our 300+ guest list. Living in Milwaukee, I had my father check out the hall as he lives closer to the area, and he couldn't believe the VIEW! He suggested I get up there immediately, see it myself, and book! A year and a half out, they only had two dates available the following summer, so it was decided that day that July 19th was it! That following spring they redid their patio, and it was absolutely stunning. For my July wedding, it was the best place for our guests to hang out, enjoy the view of the lake, and drink cocktails. The food - PHENOMENAL. The service - PHENOMENAL. The setting - PHENOMENAL. Bailey and Rene are great to work with - They set up all of my decorations the morning of the wedding, and did a knock-out job. My father said people would come up to him for weeks to talk about how beautiful our wedding was. Out of all the venue's I have seen, nothing compares to blackhawk! I feel so blessed I was able to having my wedding there. It was a day to remember, and reasonable compared to so many other locations in the area!

We had our ceremony and reception at BHCC and could not have asked for a better experience. Everyone we worked with was amazing and attentive. They even scrambled at the last minute to have an indoor and outdoor ceremony set up due to incoming rain. The food and cake were delicious and definitely not your usual wedding food. I would definitely recommend BHCC!

The venue and view is absolutely beautiful! I cannot say enough how great our service was the night of the reception. The food and cake were so delicious and perfect. I have been to many wedding receptions in Madison and, so far, Blackhawk surpasses all with the view and food!

We had our reception here and it was very beautiful. It was really nice to look out onto the lake from our head table and see the beautiful golf course as well.

We were extremely happy with the service we received at Blackhawk Country Club. We had a very large guest list and they did an amazing job setting everything up and making sure everything ran smoothly. The food was to die for! We could not have been happier!

Blackhawk was a great reception location. We had the most beautiful wedding and I would highly recommend them to everyone!

My family has been members at Blackhawk for years, so the choice was obvious for our venue for our wedding. Everything was great, except for one thing - I had left pictures of my husband's and my deceased grandparents for them to display on our memory table and ONLY 2 OF THE 3 PICTURES MADE IT OUT!! I didn't go around and check these details - since I was getting ready in another part of the building and that was my mistake - never leave anything up to someone else! But, other then that, the location is very beautiful any time of year and the food is amazing. Chef Todd is great!

The facility was nothing special. The thing that irrited me the most was at the end of the night, nobody that worked there was willing to help at all. We even had to box up our own wedding cake. The food was HORRIBLE!!!

Wonderful location, service and food!

I had my wedding reception here this summer and as I member my expectations were fairly high but they exceeded my expectations by leaps and bounds. The food was amazing, we got so many compliments on both the food and the service. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone. They were very professional and great to work with. The only catch it that they book fast so try to get in early, we booked 18 months in advance to have a choice of dates.

Overall the location was great. The food was spectacular and the outside wedding offered great views and picture opportunities! The wedding cake was made there, and it was delicious and beautiful! I would definitely this location.

I loved having my wedding here, but beware because they book up very fast!! I loved the helpful staff and great food, in addition to the beautiful scenery. Another plus is that they only allow 1 wedding at a time, so you aren't sharing the space with anyone else but the few golfers on the golf course. There aren't a lot of options for decorating, but it isn't needed with the walls of windows with views of the course and the lake. A dance floor is available on the far left part of the dining room and there is an attached bar area on the far right of the dining room. You have to use their catering and bar, but it's pretty reasonable and tastes good. Great place- we were very pleased!!!

Blackhawk was the perfect location for our May Wisconsin wedding. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. The country club has terrific views of Lake Mendota. We all enjoyed a beautiful sunset over the lake. Couldn't have asked for more! Total cost includes food and beverage.
