701 Central Road, Arkadelphia, AR
Located in Arkadelphia, AR, Blakelytown Venue is a Wild West-themed destination that is ideal for those hosting a unique wedding celebration. Conceptualized and constructed by Billy and Kathie, this gem is only a 10-minute drive from downtown Arkadelphia. Structured like a charming film set, this venue is bursting with plenty of photo opportunities. Blakelytown Venue infuses historical elements with modern amenities in a seamless fashion. This means that you and your wedding party can enjoy contemporary creature comforts while basking in the feel of western bliss. Spotted around the premises are reclaimed items that bring authenticity to the space. These include four of eight light fixtures from the Memphis Train Station, Memphis City street lamps, and columns from both Mississippi and Tennessee. Each element comes with its own backstory, adding intrigue to the entire venue. Masters of meshing the old with the new, Billy and Kathie integrated a modern brick apartment with an on-site rustic barn structure. One-of-a-kind, staying here will prove to be an experience you will not soon forget. The property is also home to a 7000-square-foot event space. Lofted with Houston-sourced truss beams and decorated with its presentation in mind, Blakelytown Venue is a real treat. Wedding parties can make use of the built-in bar, the rustic hearth fireplace, and the convenient climate control features. Paying homage to the first settlers of the area, dating back to 1809, even the venue's name is a piece of history. Story has it that Adam Blakely and John Hemphill were deciding what to call the land and, based on luck or chance, chose the name Blakelytown. This later changed to Arkadelphia in 1839, but now the name lives on at Blakelytown Venue.
