Blanc de Blanc Bridal

Sit back, grab a glass of wine, and listen to this saga. Blanc de Blanc is a beautiful bridal salon with a very exclusive boutique feel. We visited the salon in May of 2023 to begin our search for the best gown ever. The wedding is in June of 2024…over a year in advance because that’s what is recommended. We had a delightful experience with tears of joy as the first of my daughters to get married found her perfect dress. Well, I’m sitting here writing this review 8 months later with 5 months to go to the BIG DAY…..and we don’t have a dress. Well, actually we do. We decided to purchase a dress elsewhere. We traded the Instagram post vibe of Blanc de Blanc for a genuine experience with real people who made us feel like we mattered. We learned a lot from this ordeal and completely acknowledge we made mistakes. But, none of them caused the set of circumstances that unfolded. The dress arrived at the shop in September but wouldn’t close in the back because it was 3-4 inches too small. Blanc de Blanc may explain that we chose to size down “against the recommendation of their stylist” which is true. But, My daughter measured 1 centimeter smaller than the size we ordered. The size they recommended was 3 centimeters too big. The 3-4 inch gap between the zipper was not caused by sizing down 4 centimeters. Blanc de Blanc admitted that it just didn’t seem right and launched an investigation with the designer to rectify the situation. Remember, that was September of 2023. After monthly check-ins and continued reassurance that the corrected dress would be delivered in January or February, we received a call from the salon on January 16th informing us that the designer insists they produced a dress consistent with the size that was ordered. The dress would have to be reordered, and we would be charged an extra $550 because we sized down. What?!?! I called the salon, they told me they understood my frustration. The owner of Blanc de Blanc apologized for the delay and said she couldn’t explain why the designer didn’t communicate with them in a timely manner. HOW COULD I TRUST A COMPANY TO REPRODUCE AND SHIP A DRESS BY APRIL WHEN THEY COULDN’T EVEN ANSWER A QUESTION IN 4 MONTHS?!?! We panicked. We searched elsewhere….and thus broke the sales agreement. What would you have done? We DON’T regret our decision to revive our search for a dress at a different salon. We DO regret being pulled in by the trendy look of such a “boutique for the chic”. We DO regret that we paid for a gown that will now most likely be used as a sample for you to try on if you decide to give Blanc de Blanc your patronage. We DO regret that in the expensive world of weddings, $1,600 of our budget was wasted in a down payment that Blanc de Blanc won’t return to us….even in part. But, we walked away. We suggest that you don’t even walk in!

I'm about 2 years late in posting this review because life got busy, but Blanc de Blanc deserves 5++++ stars! After being disappointed in how my dream dress fit me, I went to Blanc de Blanc feeling a bit lost. I was lucky enough to have Zachary as my consultant. He helped me explore different styles and designers that I had never considered before, all while being respectful of my budget, which was at the lower end of their price range. I tried on dresses at other shops, but my first experience at Blanc de Blanc was so much better that I went back to get my dress from them. The dress I ended up with wasn't what I had originally imagined, but it was so much more flattering on me and ended up being absolutely perfect for my wedding day. So thankful to Zachary and the rest of the Blanc de Blanc family for helping me find the perfect dress!

I absolutely adored this bridal shop. This was the first and only place I looked for my wedding dress and I immediately fell in love with it - my dress (which I found on the first visit), the shop itself, and the employees. They make you feel so welcome there. Their dresses are absolutely gorgeous, and the atmosphere is so aesthetically pleasing and calming. They did an amazing job with the alterations as well. I am so happy with my experience here!

I could not have imagined a more perfect bridal shopping experience than my time with Blanc de Blanc! I tried on gowns with them a year and a half before my wedding, and ended up with a different dress from a different shop. Flash forward to a year later, and I fell in love with a dress they shared on Instagram! With about 6 months to spare, Elizabeth was able to help me try on the dress and get it rush ordered with enough time for alterations. Alterations were a breeze, until I picked up my dress, tried it on at home, and the zipper completely split (which was a designer problem, not the shops!). I brought the dress back in 1 week and a half before my wedding and the amazing Star was able to transform the back of my super structured dress into a corset back in 1 week! I would have been in complete panic mode if it weren't for the calm, supportive demeanor of everyone in the shop. Every time I stepped into the shop, especially in that last week, I felt at ease and excited every single time. I can't imagine going through that process at any other shop. I highly, highly recommend visiting the girls at Blanc de Blanc!

I had an wonderful experience at Blanc de Blanc. I knew what I was looking for going in, they were the only shop in Pittsburgh that carried my bridal designer and I was so pleased with the experience. Elizabeth was incredible and made me feel so beautiful and comfortable. The salon itself is stunning and every worker there makes you feel so excited coming in every time. Angelea did a beautiful job altering my dress and was very knowledgeable and professional. The gown looked stunning and I got so many compliments on the dress. I would absolutely recommend going there. I was surprised by alteration costs but did have some complicated lace detailing.

Blanc de Blanc is hands down the best bridal boutique in the Pittsburgh area! These ladies went above and beyond to make me feel special and help me find the dress of my dreams. They were so patient and kind from the first day trying on dresses to my final alterations appointment! I cannot say enough great things about how amazing this team is. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! 10/10!

I had my first bridal appoint yesterday and said yes to the dress at Blanc de Blanc! From walking in they were so welcoming and made the appointment all about me. Elizabeth was so sweet and helped me get in & out of the dresses. Every time I had a question she answered it so well and would even show similar styles so I could in-vision what dresses would look like if I decided to change it a little bit. HIGHLY recommend Blanc de Blanc! Can’t say enough about how happy I am with my choice of going to their salon first!

This place is incredible!!! The boutique is a gorgeous, light-filled space in a renovated fire station. I had tried on about 50 dresses before I found this place and nowhere came close to their beautiful selection. I worked with Zachary to find my dress. He could not have been more patient, kind, and knowledgeable. He helped me find the exact dress I wanted: simple, sleek, unique, and elegant, that was in my price range, and then advised me on the proper sizing. Through the entire process he was respectful and encouraging without ever being pushy. He made buying this dress such a special moment for me, my family, and my friends. I even received a beautiful handwritten note after I bought my dress. They also offer in house alterations! I requested a number of alterations for sizing and a pretty complicated bustle. The end result was not only stunning, fit me like a glove, and exactly what I had imagined, but reasonably priced too! I urge you to visit them when looking for your wedding dress, they have the most beautiful gowns and the most incredible service, there is no better place!

I had the most amazing experience at Blanc de Blanc! They have a wide price range to fit any budget and so many gorgeous dresses to choose from. Madison made me feel so welcomed in the salon and was excellent at helping me pick out the perfect dress! I couldn’t recommend this Bridal salon enough!

I was very disappointed that in 2022 I would be visiting a salon that really, really struggles with size inclusivity. Their selection of larger dresses was extremely limited. Their small size range excludes the majority of women which is really disappointing when you are trying to have a fun, magical experience. I am a size 12 in everyday clothing which isn’t even plus size and my selection was such a let down. Even their website refers to plus sizes as “alternate sizes”. The stylist I worked with was nice but the shop as a whole really needs to do better, unless of course you want your business to cater to one specific body type and miss out on serving so many other women.

Blanc de Blanc offered a wonderful shopping experience for my wedding gown! Blanc de Blanc was encouraging, informative, and had a beautiful selection of gowns. For any bride, I highly recommend you stop into Blanc de Blanc.

Blanc de Blanc is the most stunning bridal salon ever with a beautiful selection of dresses! I had such an easy process finding my dream wedding dress. Angelea involved my family in helping to pull dresses which was so special to me. Because of COVID restrictions, I could only have two guests come with me, but the staff made my experience so special and memorable. My wedding dress was absolutely stunning and fit me perfectly - I had my alterations done there too and I would never trust anyone else to do such an amazing job. I would highly recommend Blanc de Blanc to find your wedding dress!!

As soon as I walked into Blanc de Blanc Bridal I felt so welcomed and knew this is where I would find my wedding dress. Elizabeth was my bridal consultant and made me feel so comfortable the entire process. I ended up saying yes to the dress on my second visit back to Blanc de Blanc. I can't thank Elizabeth enough for how nice and prompt she was returning my emails and helping me pick my dream dress!

An absolutely stunning bridal boutique, uniquely situated on the second floor of a renovated fire station! I had such a positive experience with Madison as my consultant. The boutique and their staff are pure class and had old world charms. The dresses and designers they carry are lovely, with one dress prettier than the next. I would highly recommend all my Pittsburgh brides check out Blanc de Blanc Bridal Salon!!

really cute boutique but not an overly large selection of dresses. theres a nice assortment of boho-y styles among the more traditional dresses. prices arent crazy. ultimately I didnt find my dress at Blanc de Blanc but enjoyed our consultation. our assistant was super helpful and down to earth. I was completely surprised to learn later that she was newer, but she handled everything amazing.

Not only is this the most aesthetically pleasing bridal boutique ever, but the consultants and the owner make you feel SO special. They picked out a dress for me that was totally out of the norm from what I was trying on, and much below my price limit - and I ended up falling in love with it. They truly have your best interest in mind!! I will recommend this place over & over again 🤍

10.3.2020 wedding thank you soooo much from the bottom of my heart for the best bridal dress shopping experience I could have ever asked for! Shopping is not my favorite thing to do but even from the first appointment, it was nothing but great! Hannah made me and my family feel so comfortable in the shop, the personal experience was like no other. Even during this crazy pandemic every appointment Angelea made it feel like we had all the time in the world, never rushed! I could go on and on, but thank you! I have been telling all my friends, you have to go to Blanc de Blanc!

I came in with my sister to look at gowns for her and was blown away by this boutique. We had Hannah as a consultant and she was excellent. I work as a bridal consultant in a different city and I was so impressed with everything here! It is clean and everyone felt so comfortable here! The dresses are beautiful and Hannah stayed in m sister's budget. It was a very personal experience and Hannah listened to what my sister liked and didn't like. We felt zero pressure to purchase but ultimately came back the next day for her to "say yes to the dress." I HIGHLY recommend this boutique for an intimate experience in a beautiful boutique!!

BdB is a Pittsburgh gem. After visiting a number of other stores in the northeast, I had a wonderful experience finding my dress with Angela's help. She even answered multiple questions about accessories after I purchased my dress.

ASK FOR HANNAH. She was patient, kind, honest, and not pushy at ALL. The store is beautiful, the prices are mostly manageable, the staff is very kind, and the dresses are incredible! Most important/valuable aspect for me was how well Hannah, my consultant, listened to me and was able to pick dress options that I didn't even know I would love! I went with a dress I would have never thought to try on, but now I dream about. Traveled from Chicago for this shop! Worth the trip!

Blanc de Blanc Bridal made bridal dress shopping such an amazing experience! The boutique is absolutely gorgeous and carries some of the best designers. The experience is totally personal - I never felt rushed or pressured which was one of my biggest fears. Angelea is the absolute sweetest and her eye for style and design is out of this world. Her team altered my dress until it was absolute perfection - I have no clue how they did it!! For any fashion forward bride that's looking for a truly wonderful experience, Blanc de Blanc is for you!

Blanc de Blanc is such a welcome change from the wedding dress shopping experience at any other bridal boutique. The store is beautiful, and it makes such a difference having the boutique to yourself for your bridal appointment. Angelea is amazing, and the dresses she carries are unique and absolutely stunning. She is more than happy to customize or accommodate changes, and she has a great eye for style. You'll be so glad you went to Blanc de Blanc!

Angelea is like a magical fairy godmother. My husband and I had planned to elope so obviously planning time was not on our side. When I spoke to Angela she was so sweet and offered to help me find my perfect dress in a pinch. When I walked in to the boutique she had a dress set aside that she thought would be perfect. That was the first and only dress I tried on!! Like I said, she is a magical fairy godmother!! My wedding was perfect and I felt like a goddess! I cannot recommend Blanc de Blanc enough!!

Angelea from Blanc de Blanc Bridal is so easy to work with and did an amazing job on the alterations for my dress. Not only was she able to make sure it fit me perfectly, she also created the perfect bustle for my long train! She is meticulous and detail-oriented - and delightful to talk to throughout the process. She also altered my mom's dress, added a mini-bustle, and made a custom chiffon wrap to go with it. My mom was thrilled. Thank you so much for making sure our dresses were perfect for the wedding day!

I had a really great experience with Angelea and BdB! The atmosphere is so intimate and welcoming. I tried 5-6 dresses on and I knew at that point I was going to find my dress there. The appointments are made online and getting to the shop is so easy. I really had a great time choosing my dress! Highly recommend!

I initially went to Blanc de Blanc for my bridal accessories. My appointment was with Angelea and I was looking for a tiara and veil. She was amazing! Once I told her the designers I liked and what I was looking for, she brought me multiple combinations and took the time to place them in my hair so I got a better idea of what I wanted. I found my perfect tiara and veil with Angelea’s help. She was so kind and knowledgeable, and her boutique is absolutely beautiful. This inspired me to go back to Blanc de Blanc to look for a dress for my wedding reception! I had a very specific budget in mind, and Angelea was not going to be available for this appointment, so Angelea took the time and care to explain what I was looking for to her consultant, Emma. Emma was so sweet and helpful, and not at all pushy (which I think is so important when you’re looking for a gown)! Emma helped me find a beautiful dress for my reception and between Emma and Angelea they made sure it was within the budget I had set. Now I will be going back for the alterations for not only the reception dress I bought there, but my wedding dress as well! Blanc de Blanc is the BEST bridal boutique ever. They’re kind, accommodating, and knowledgeable, and the boutique is so pretty! I HIGHLY recommend this boutique!

I loved my experience here! Angelea is wonderful at what she does. I picked out some dresses, but she listens to the feedback so well and puts you in exactly what you’re looking for. And when you’re on the fence, she knows how to phrase it so you pick the one. So happy with my purchase, my time, and can’t wait to get married in my beautiful dress! The salon is also gorgeous, and my mom and bridesmaid loved sipping champagne while I tried on beautiful things.
