Located in San Jose, CA, Blanco Urban Venue is a unique, modern wedding space. Catering to couples in the Bay Area, this venue sits in San Pedro Square in San Jose’s historic downtown district. We welcome weddings and other corporate events and special occasions. Mineta San Jose International Airport is just minutes away, making this venue convenient for guests arriving from out of town. There are a bevy of nearby hotels for those looking for overnight accommodation. At Blanco, historic and contemporary details are seamlessly blended. Its authentic 150-year old brick walls have been carefully restored, paying homage to the original Spanish style of architecture. This event venue is managed by San Pedro Events, who also operate two restaurants, two bars, and a gaming bar and lounge. All of these spaces are available to host your rehearsal dinner. The event spaces at Blanco are a blank canvas, perfect for couples and wedding planners who want to exercise their creative flair. Across its three floors, you will find 5,500 square feet of available space, including a 1,700 square foot rooftop terrace. You are welcome to spread your event across all of these spaces. Should you choose to hold your reception this way, 500 guests can comfortably fit in this venue spread among all 3 levels. Alternatively, you can hold your ceremony on the rooftop with up to 180 guests. On the terrace, you are invited to enjoy the rustic charm of olive trees and a cozy fireplace. From here, you and your loved ones can retire to the Great Room for an elegant reception. The mezzanine is a more intimate setting, covering 850 square feet, perfect for those who want to celebrate in the sunshine. The team at this venue have close relationships with a plethora of local catering companies to help inspire your planning. A full-size commercial kitchen is complemented by an onsite food and beverage team who is committed to helping your event run smoothly. Chrissy Mrowczynski

Director of Sales

Chrissy joined the MDM team in 2021 as the Director of Sales and Marketing. She brings a unique mix of sales, hotels, restaurants, and events experience to the team, along with PR and marketing skills, all leading back to her innate passion for hospitality (especially food and wine!). She moved to the Bay area in 2017 where she worked in catering sales and event management for venues including the former Fairmont San Jose. From corporate events to full-scale weddings, she is thrilled to work closely with her clients to bring their vision to life to create memorable experiences.

ct blank canvas for our vision. We wanted a simple backdrop to let our lavender floral decorations shine, and the venue complemented our color theme beautifully. Every corner of Blanco was a photo-worthy spot, which made for stunning pictures throughout the day. The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful from start to finish. If you're looking for a versatile, modern venue with a team that goes above and beyond, Blanco Urban Venue is the place to be. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice!

We chose Blanco Urban Venue for our wedding and couldn't have been happier with the decision. From the start, the team responded quickly to all our questions and made planning feel...

straightforward. We were drawn to the place as it allowed for Ceremony, Cocktail, and Reception to all be in one space, with a super smooth flow, and allowed our pet to walk down the ceremony aisle. Chrissy gave us a tour and was SO warm and welcoming taking time to answer our questions and even graciously scheduled a second tour with the parents. She was super honest and open about anything we asked, providing solutions to concerns, and the day worked out exactly as she described. We had a 165 person wedding, and was worried about it feeling cramped but it honestly felt very roomy and comfortable for moving around and dancing. There was enough room for all the chairs, tables, and even had a nice space for vendor table! The included tables and chairs saved us time and money, and we loved how our other vendors raved about the venue too—it made coordinating everything so much easier. The bartenders really impressed us with their skill, and those signature cocktails were delicious even though drinks came at a premium price. However, right after the ceremony, Chrissy immediatley found the bride and groom to give us our signature drinks, and even gave one to the nervous parents. It was such a personal touch that we will remember forever. Being in San Pedro Square, parking was a breeze at only 10 dollars for the whole day, and a easy spot to Uber to. We had a world cup watch party coinciding with our day, but the team proactivley warned us and helped us have alternatives on communicating with guests to make sure everyone made it smoothly. Overall, Blanco delivered on quality and service, and we'd recommend them to any couple looking for a polished, all-in-one venue.

he great room with its giant chandelier was fanatic for our reception and dancing! Renee and the team were very helpful, responsive, and flexible as we planned the different parts of our wedding. They answered all of our questions and worked closely with our planner and other vendors to make our day spectacular. Would highly recommend!

We discovered Blanco during our search for a modern, minimal venue that could accomodate an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. It was very important to us that the outdoor area...

had some sort of shade solution since our wedding was in the summer, and Blanco’s rooftop was the perfect fit with the elegant roll out shades that could be retracted at night for rooftop festivities! We were also impressed with the care and detail the venue team put into upkeeping the space between events from what we saw the couple times we visited before our wedding day. Coordination and organization for payments and documents up until the event day was an absolute breeze. This wasn’t something I was expecting to be so appreciative of until I was deep into the wedding planning process. Blanco uses an online portal where you can make all of your payments, access invoices and receipts, and view upcoming payment due dates, making it very easy to keep track of everything. The Blanco team was also a pleasure to work with! We worked with Chrissy for the initial coordination, Renee for the preparation up until the event and then with both Renee and Hailey the day of. They were all so helpful and welcoming to make sure we had everything set and ready to go for the rehearsal and wedding day. Hailey even assisted me with my dress change as I was rushing between reception activities! They made sure we felt well taken care of and we couldn’t be more grateful!

Blanco and fell in love. The venue itself is totally beautiful, and the Blanco staff (we worked with Hailey) is professional, responsive, and just generally lovely. They helped us coordinate rentals, drop offs, etc, and all went well! We also had our wedding catered by one of Blanco's partner restaurants (Chef Javi from Farmer's Union) and it was AMAZING! Truly the best food I've ever had at a wedding. Highly recommend all around.
