ecca went above and beyond to ensure we had everything planned out and everything we needed, we cannot praise their level of service and care enough! They are also dog friendly, which was perfect for us since we wanted our dog, Leia, to be part of the ceremony. She was able to freely roam the grounds and enjoy the coziness of the Farmhouse all weekend. We brought in our own favors, cake, signage, candles, etc., and their team assisted us every step of the way to make sure things were laid out exactly how we imagined. Our guests were raving about the location, the service, the flow, and – unsurprisingly, if you’ve read the other reviews – the food. It could not have been a more perfect day, and we cannot thank their Blenheim team enough! The grounds were renovated in early/mid 2022, and are stunning. Pavers leading from the Farmhouse to the ceremony site, pavers leading to cocktail hour, and a new propane fire pit outside of the Brewery Barn. They have also added wall-mounted AC units in the reception barn, in case you are worried about the summer heat. The Farmhouse is kept nice and cool as well, as there is a large AC unit in the living room, plus additional wall-mounted AC units. All-in-all, we are exceedingly pleased with Blenheim and their team. From the moment we arrived on Thursday, up until our departure on Sunday, everything was perfect! Thank you for a magical weekend, Blenheim!

t the risotto! The farmhouse on the venue grounds is beautiful and so convenient as a place to get ready and hang out before the wedding. The staff could not have been more helpful and professional. We had to move our wedding date three times due to COVID and everyone we worked with at Blenheim was so understanding and flexible in helping us reschedule and make sure that when we ultimately had our wedding, it would be just as special as we originally imagined.

e itself is beautiful -- a lot of hard work has gone into making it beautiful and I had a lot of feedback from guests about how much they loved the property. Unfortunately, that does not make up for the stress of dealing with this venue. They are inflexible and were downright unpleasant to work with. Here's the short list: - They forgot to make and serve the dessert we paid for (flourless chocolate cake) - they refused to accommodate a half hour change in ceremony start time and couldn't really give us an explanation why - They promised to bring us appetizers from the cocktail hour directly to us after the ceremony, but we never got it. So we did not get to eat any of the appetizers that were served to our guests. We heard from our guests it was delicious. - The venue coordinator came to me the day before the wedding requesting that I provide her "clarification" on the seating chart and meals for guests. Not sure why she was bothering me the day before the wedding for items I had been trying to address with her for months. - Despite paying thousands of dollars in cleaning fees there was mouse feces in the bathroom. - I got a nasty text message from the venue coordinator the day after the wedding telling me I had ruined her Memorial Day vacation because I did not inform her in time about a late checkout. She was notified but still insisted on bringing over a cleaning crew. - The venue disliked my wedding planner, and claimed she was rude and insulting to the guests and staff. That's not really their place to make judgment on my vendors which I found pretty incredible. None of my guests had an issue with her--in fact, I heard from multiple people she did a great job at running wedding efficiently and honestly it would have been absolute chaos without her there. All in all, would I get married here again? The answer is NO WAY. There are a surplus of beautiful barn venues in upstate New York where you can have a very nice wedding. Don't think you are going to save any money -- their payment structure is deceiving, with add ons, additional charges, etc etc. And on top of that, the location is a pain in the butt. Logistically, many guests had issues getting to the venue and/or finding lodging. And don't be fooled by the good reviews-- I was. I happen to know a bride who got married here who had a similar experience and many negative reviews have seemed to have vanished from this site... I really, really don't want another bride going through what I went through. So please, go pick another venue!!

Our wedding (originally scheduled for October 2020) was postponed by a year, and the Blenheim team was very transparent and communicative throughout the pandemic regarding changing plans and COVID protocols. The food, the atmosphere, the decorations and everything about the venue/property were incredible. The venue is remote, but the Blenheim team offered many helpful suggestions for local lodging, transportation options and details that we could share with our guests to ensure they knew and had all they needed. The advice, vendor lists and timeline/roadmap that the Blenheim team shared were so helpful in our planning and keeping things on track. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our terrific wedding weekend coordinators (Maria and Rebecca) were both always on hand to ensure we knew what to expect and that things ran smoothly, while also giving us space and freedom to enjoy the experience with each other and with our family, friends and guests. They truly enriched the experience for us, especially as we navigated the cold weather, the threat of rain and all of the unexpected little things that came up in the 11th hour. We could not be happier with the Blenheim Hill Farm wedding experience.

As a dietitian, the farm-to-table food was particularly appealing and totally amazing (guests are still talking about how delicious the food was!)! It was the perfect venue for our special day. I also need to point out that the staff at Blenheim were incredible on our wedding day. Like many other couples, we had to reschedule our wedding due to the pandemic. We were very grateful for the support and communication during that difficult time from the Blenheim staff (although we do think it could have been a bit better as it was extremely stressful and sometimes would have to email them a few times to get a response). On our wedding day, all of the staff (from the managers, to servers and bartenders) truly were so awesome and addressed our every need and made us feel cared for. My guests were extra fond of the bartenders for their great personalities and stiff pours ;) Sylwia brought us cocktails and a tasting of all of our cocktail hour food to the pond while we were taking pictures in the rowboat as she knew we would probably not be able to eat much once we got up to the tent - it turned into such a special moment for my husband and I to collect ourselves before the main event. The staff even had my sneakers ready to go in anticipation that I would need to take my heels off after our first dance, and even brought my heels back to the farm house so I would not lose them! Little things like that did not go unnoticed and truly made our experience there such a happy one. Our day was so perfect and worth the wait! We highly recommend this venue for the food, setting, and of course the staff! Thank you Blenheim for making our wedding so special!!

My guests left hungry....an entire bus traveling back to my hotel stopped at Wendy’s. (I was promised by the owner my guests would be full). Unless you eat like I bird, you will be starving. They will charge you for EVERY LITTLE THING. For example: 300$ fee to use their speakers (which are installed in the barn that you are renting) on the night of the rehearsal dinner. The crudités platter during cocktail hour (for 150 people) was EMBARRASSING (see photo). The are absolutely horrendous at responding to phone calls, emails, voicemails. There’s more but I don’t have the time & you should save yours by looking into other venues. Conclusion: I would not have my wedding here again. The positives did not out weight the negative. Extremely stressful process. DONT RECOMMEND.

nd absolute masters of their craft. We cannot overemphasize the deep contributions they made to our wedding as managers of day-of events. They both have VERY bright futures in the hospitality industry. Lisa, Rebecca, and Sylwia (each with roles varying from day-of coordination, bartending, supervising service, etc) also made remarkable contributions and deserve special recognition. The chef and kitchen staff prepared food that was EXQUISITE. Unsung hero of the day: the young lady responsible for cleaning the farmhouse. She ensured we were able to enter the farmhouse an hour early and was extremely professional in completing her tasks. There is a long list of reasons why Blenheim is such a special place, but the quality of the staff is at the top of that list. THE BAD Due to COVID, our wedding was rescheduled nearly 11 months after the original date. We were offered a 10% discount on additional headcount for food and beverage, which was very generous. However, as our wedding approached, we noticed the updated contract didn’t include the discount. Unaware of an expiration date attached this discount, we questioned why it hadn’t been applied. We assumed we had missed a note and were prepared to concede the discount. However, we needed to do our due diligence to confirm that the error was ours. Blenheim did eventually honor the discount (which we very much appreciated), but our issue was with the final message we received on the topic. This final message from one of the owners was demeaning and unacceptable. This owner stated that, “If our onsite team of 25+ staffers found out this is how you are nickel and diming, they could become concerned that they may not even be receiving tips from you for the weekend. And that is not a cloud I want hanging over any of them.” My husband and I are both very caring people. We understand the incredible importance of tips for staff. It is a critical component of their compensation. When someone questions our ability or willingness to tip staff, it is not a comment on our financial wellbeing. It is an attack on our character. It implies greed, selfishness, and a disregard for those doing the heavy lifting (literally and figuratively) for our event. As evidenced by our actual tip to the staff, this is NOT who we are. We wanted to give this owner the benefit of the doubt and requested a phone call so we could smooth things over. At this point, we were less than a month out from the wedding date. We were denied this phone call. Instead, we received a dismissive e-mail handwaving the issue by claiming “no hard feelings.” This demonstrated the lack of intent to resolve the issue, as well as a lack of empathy for their clients. We arrived to the venue on our wedding day having been insulted by one of the owners, and our attempt to remedy the disagreement was rebuffed. This is an important experience to share with other potential clients. Among both owners, we were exceptionally pleased with the professionalism of the other owner. However, as we leave this 5-star review, please know that it is a testament specifically to the employed staff who make Blenheim such a special place.

We got a little nervous at the lack of communication in the weeks leading up to the big day but we understood that the venue was busy planning and throwing many great weddings in a very short time. It turns out our fears were unwarranted because the weekend really went off without a hitch. Well one hitch maybe. We wish we had ensured there was a stronger vegetarian option for the Welcome Dinner tacos but that was really our only complaint the whole weekend. Everyone loved the reception dinner, the cocktail hour drinks and appetizers and the reception barn was beautifully decorated and only got more lovely as the night went on. The staff was warm, responsive and really went out of their way to make us feel special. We have no regrets booking Blenheim for our wedding and would recommend it to any couple looking for a beautiful bucolic atmosphere to share with their loved ones. Seriously, we feel so lucky and grateful about how much Blenheim does for you, we were able to enjoy ourselves without stress leading up to the day and stay in the moment the day of. We received so many compliments about how our wedding was one of the best folks have ever been to, and we owe that in large part to the Blenheim team and venue! We live in California and selected Blenheim without ever having visited the farm - it was actually quite an easy decision and the pictures don't even begin to describe how beautiful the property is. It did help that my parents visited in the winter and were greeted warmly by Chef Paul, and that my wife's parents visited Min and Morton in their restaurant in NYC and hit it off. Everything about the Blenheim owners, staff, food, experience, logistics, property, farmhouse was first class and supremely professional, but also fun. The food tasting was such a special time leading up to the event and so much fun, and Min's and Chef's flexibility to accommodate some of our dietary preferences was very much appreciated. I even got to swap in sherry in my "his" cocktail! :) The food was top notch, there is no need for much additional decoration as the barn and property are stunning themselves, the farmhouse is a great place for the families to stay (we stayed there and also hosted a workout of about 50 of our guests the morning of the wedding by the lake!), and the animals added to the atmosphere we were hoping for. I would also say to get the add-ons as they are very reasonably priced and thoughtfully curated - we added a bunch of those special touches to our day like the bonfire and lawn games. Special thanks to Carol and Laura for all of the planning help, Danyelle and Fredrik who were rockstar captains for us the night before and day of, and to Min and Morton for creating such a special setting and team, providing world class hospitality, and being such hands on proprietors ensuring satisfaction at every step of the way. If there is a date at Blenheim open, you should snag it ASAP!

From the moment we decided to have our wedding at Blenheim, we were taken care of. There are so many decisions to make throughout the planning process, and Min, Carol and Laura helped walk us through each decision. We began working with Mina as the time grew closer to our wedding day and words cannot express how absolutely incredible she is. Mina and her team are proactive, decisive, kind, calm, thorough, knowledgable and gracious. We arrived on Wednesday before our wedding and from the moment we arrived on the property, we were greeted with fresh appetizers from the garden. This service continued throughout the weekend with freshly made muffins and other morsels of deliciousness. Mina and her team were accessible during our entire stay at Blenheim and she went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. Any type of anxiety that I had going into the weekend was immediately put at bay when greeted by Mina. The wedding ceremony itself was beautiful - truly perfect - and the cocktail hour and reception were amazing. Needless to say, the Michelin star rated food was impeccable. Our guests had a blast and no one wanted it to end. As we relive our amazing wedding weekend through the beautiful pictures and stories, I will always be thankful for the decision we made to have our wedding at Blenheim.

t – the venue. Having housing on-site is clutch. It was so convenient to get ready & literally walk out of what was our house for the weekend to our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception. We had the bridal party stay there for the weekend, and our hair and make-up artists came and set up in the dining room to get us ready – worked out very well. The grounds are gorgeous. We are both animal lovers, so it was so unique and amazing to have the rescued horses, the piglets, and the goats there. Our guests LOVED that part as well. The lakefront is a beautiful place for the ceremony, and the house is right there – it was perfect for the “big entrance”! The cocktail area is plenty large, and perfectly located for some yard games, which our guests sure did enjoy. One of my worries in looking at this place was that the barn would get way too hot for a July wedding, but this was not at all an issue. We danced our butts off and I was NOT a sweaty mess – hallelujah! Second – the staff. Min (the owners are Min & Morten) was very involved from the get-go, and any worries we had she addressed very quickly. But the real shining star was Mina. Our parents, bridesmaids, and groomsmen were in awe of how much she absolutely killed it. To me, it seemed like she thought of everything in advance. And I’m sure there were hiccups but you know what? Neither myself nor my guests had any idea – which is exactly what a good coordinator does. She took so much of the stress out of the planning, and executed the day perfectly. The waitstaff was phenomenal. They all behaved in a very friendly and professional manner throughout. Before the wedding, I kept hearing, “you’ll be so hungry! You won’t have time to eat!” Let me tell you, they made sure we did not go hungry! There were no long waits at the bar. Third – the food. This is probably what we got the most compliments. We had the salmon, the chicken, and the pork – and each was seasoned and cooked to perfection. I worried about having guests standing in line for buffet service, but that was not an issue at all. Appetizers during cocktail hour were very much enjoyed. I think what stole the end of the night were the pizzas, though. If you’re doing an “afterparty hour”, I highly recommend this add-on. Our guests also enjoyed making smores – they just thought that was so neat. If you’re like me, if you read only positives and no negatives in a review you might think, “bullshit.” So, what were the negatives? The only negative that I can really bring to mind is that there is not a ton of lodging where you can have most of your guests stay very close by. There are lots of bed and breakfasts nearby, but like most bed and breakfasts they have limited capacity. We ended up using the Quality Inn in Oneonta, and shuttling our guests to the venue – it worked out very well, and we had no issues with transportation or lodging to and from the venue. Shuttles really aren’t that expensive, it’s just a bit of extra planning and communicating to your guests, and the coordinator and staff help make sure the timing goes flawlessly on the day of. If we had a time machine and for whatever reason had to do it all over again, we absolutely would choose Blenheim again. Highly recommend!

Then the planning team, Carol and Laura, are the most wonderful people to work with. Planning a wedding is stressful enough but they were there every step of the way and made it so easy. Then there was my day-of Dream Team. Sophie, Danyelle, and Mina are SPECTACULAR. My husband and I didn’t have to worry about a single thing. They made the day better than perfect. As an anxious bride, they washed away every fear I ever had. On top of how wonderful the staff is, the farm is absolutely stunning. A rustic chic dream. If you don’t book your wedding at Blenheim you are making a mistake!!

rried at Blenheim hill farm this fall and the entire weekend was beyond amazing. The food, the barn, the farm house, the lighting, the different areas on the property. Full disclosure: We had a large wedding (200 people) and the cost of a wedding is not cheap. However compared to similar venues around the area it is on par and you get what you pay for. Half way through the process I had the ‘Oh Sh*t’ moment of this may be over the top but then we had the food tasting in the city and honestly top restaurant I’ve ever been to. The food (that came down from the farm) was beyond amazing. But it couldn’t taste like that when you’re serving 200 people from a buffet? Day of— Everything we expected and more (ps you can not pass up the Short Ribs). So you’re not just paying for the ‘Farm house Wedding’ idea but also the out of this world fresh local food that our guest are still talking about months later. Weekend of the wedding, the staff does literally everything. To planning how we walked down the isle to addition decorating with my ‘Pinterest’ inspired decor. They coordinate all the venders coming in, removing so much stress! We had the rehearsal in the tent and smaller barn the night before (must get the pulled pork tacos) and danced the night away! The girls stayed in the farm house on sight and the guys got a close by air B and B (worked perfect)... The ceremony was down by the lake under their beautiful birch arbor, cocktail hour in their clear roof tent (which did we talk about the lighting out there!) and the reception and after hours in the beautiful barn! Almost done! They were so cute with the his and her cocktails. They really made us think about a moment or a feeling we had with different drinks and pick from that. I gave them some ideas that came from date nights we had and they knocked it out of the park. The Grapefruit Mint Moscow Mules were too good to have just one!! Thanks Blenheim for a weekend we will never forget!!

Once we booked the venue, any questions we ever had were quickly responded to. We just felt we were in good hands from beginning to end. We also felt the people we worked with were willing to customize certain aspects of our wedding to make it unique to us as a couple. With all of the stress and chaos that goes into planning a wedding, it was such a relief to work with people who are professional and calm and REALLY know what they're doing. I can't say enough about how awesome our wedding was. I wish we could do it again.

There are so many details and surprises that go way above and beyond what is already expected. They say their motto is to promise a lot and to over-deliver. We can attest that they live up to that motto. Their communication and organization before the wedding are as above reproach as their execution on the day of. We have never felt in such good hands. That is merely the service aspect of the Blenheim. But really Blenheim Hill Farms is the whole package. The Barn and the land are stunning and strike the perfect balance of Rustic and Classy. Even if you have reservations about a Farm wedding, the Blenheim will wash away any of your hesitations. Both our parents were skeptical of not using a traditional "banquet style" venue. And both immediately expressed to us how right we were. The food at the Blenheim is provided by the venue, farm to table and NOT your typical wedding fare. It is equivalent to a phenomenal three course meal at a fancy restaurant. The creativity of the chefs and flexibility with how they will accommodate tastes and preferences and the signature cocktails and bar service were exquisite. The Barn is so incredibly conducive to dancing and our wedding was a non stop dance fest. As the night progressed individual light bulbs were turned out one by one to match the mood and flow of the evening. Our gushing review may be lost in a sea of other gushing reviews but that's because the Blenheim Hill Farms does EVERYTHING right.
