is Catholic, so when Beth mentioned that she specialized in Jew "ish" weddings and acknowledged how she would incorporate pieces of both Jewish and Catholic traditions into our ceremony, it sounded like a perfect match for us. We communicated mainly through emails and met in person twice, and she was always usually quick to respond. Our ceremony was customized, unique and we loved that we were able to include so many of our friends and family all throughout. She also has a beautiful singing voice! I've received several compliments from our guests since the wedding about how much they loved the ceremony. We definitely recommend hiring Beth to officiate your wedding!

We love that she didn’t just ask us questions from a standardized list – everything flowed naturally, and it was so nice to have the opportunity to get to know the her as well instead of just spouting off facts about our relationship. Between meeting for brunch and taking barre classes together, we came to feel like Beth was family. My mom loved Beth even more when she told our guests to put their cell phones away so they could truly be present for our ceremony. As an interfaith family, we weren’t equally aware of what to expect. My husband’s side was very familiar with Jewish wedding traditions. My own parents had attended some Jewish weddings but didn’t have a great understanding of what everything meant. Beth made a conscious effort to sit down privately with my parents and sister to walk them through the ceremony, explain what everything meant, and answer the 5,000 questions my mom had. The extra effort she made to make everyone feel comfortable was so appreciated. I absolutely love how open Beth was to customizing everything to make it really fit with who we are and the relationship that my husband and I have built. Our ceremony felt very modern, but still honored the Jewish faith. We were treated as equals and encouraged to push for what we felt was appropriate for our beliefs. Seriously, several of our bridesmaids and groomsmen who had already planned weddings for the same year told us after ours that they wished they had been able to work with Beth, because she was so much fun and made the day even brighter. She asks pointed questions to help shape the ceremony, and ensures that both the bride and groom are completely comfortable, and is also very responsive in answering any questions one may have. I have a daughter and we wanted her included in a very tasteful way and Beth did just that. Our ceremony set the tone for our entire wedding night which was warm, intimate, loving and beautiful. The most important thing she wanted to know at our first meeting was us, and why we wanted to get married. She enthusiastically sat down with us on multiple occasions going over the outline of a Jewish Ceremony, and Jew”ish” ceremony as she lovingly calls it, helping us select the parts that would make it most meaningful for both of us, while still staying true to Jewish traditions. After our ceremony the topic all of our guests were talking about was Cantor Beth. Almost every single guest came up to me to tell say how great she had been, and exclaiming “Where did you find her!?” She managed to explain all of the traditions in a way that made everyone feel included and engaged. She encouraged us to be ourselves, and helped me through my anxiety about standing in front of a crowd.
