Bleuroot

We were married at Bleuroot on 8.1.20, it was perfect. We had a small wedding ceremony and dinner on the 3rd floor. The space is cozy and has a chill vibe to it with brick, windows, wood walls, and a deck that overlooks the river. Maria (the owner) and her staff were very professional and at the same time, warm and welcoming. They accommodated every request we made. The food was outstanding - we had the spinach & strawberry salad, vegetarian pasta purses, a champagne toast, and individual deserts (key lime pie, carrot cake, chocolate covered strawberries, and cookies that were frosted with our initials. When we arrived there was a nice wooden arch with white fabric and green vines set up for our ceremony, this made a great back drop for photos (bridal gown hanging there, pics with the officiant, etc.). We would recommend this venue to anyone for a wedding or any other event where you want great food and drinks for your guests in an historic setting.

I have so much to say, but I'll try to keep it short and sweet. I had my wedding reception here in October and we couldn't have picked a more perfect place. From start to finish, everything went smoothly. The food was incredible (chicken and waffles, salmon sliders, beef tenderloin, not your mom's mac and cheese, nectarine salad, beet salad, and blueberry beignets). Maria made us items that aren't even on the restaurant's menu, which really meant a lot. She is an incredibly talented and kind woman. She checked on us multiple times to see if we needed anything and always made us feel "warm and welcome". Going back to the food, my mother in law said everything was delicious... which is *amazing* considering she is very apprehensive about eating anything new or "different". She is extremely picky. I am still in shock that she ate everything! But like I said, it was so good and I had many people text me about how much they loved their brunch. The two bartenders working were so friendly and kept everyone's drinks nice and full. The gentleman working the floor kept everything clean and free of dirty dishes, while smiling the entire time. He was so sweet and attentive. I think it was his very first party, so I want to stress how fantastic he did. We had to make some last minute changes during event set up and there was no slow down or any complications whatsoever. We went from two types of mimosas to full, open bar, and they somehow set it up in no time! That in itself was impressive. For years, I worked parties at a busy restaurant in Chicago, so I can sometimes be hyper-critical... but I have absolutely zero complaints and there's not a single thing I would have changed. Thank you so much to everyone that kept things running seamlessly. You truly helped make our special day what it was.

We were incredibly happy with our event at Bleu Root. The staff was wonderful to work with when we met to determine details for the evening. Chef Maria and Jenna truly addresses our every need. The food was phenomenal and the service was on point. Kevin did an amazing job tending bar. We could not have asked for a better venue for our wedding celebration!
