Blink of An Eye Photography

We selected Blink of an Eye Photography based upon having seen a large sample of Olivia's photographs. Her service more than met our expectations. Olivia takes great care in making sure that she understands exactly what is important to the bride, groom, and their families. She made sure to photograph all of the moments and guest combinations that had been identified. She kept a professional low profile, never taking anything away from the event. The best surprise was seeing all of the pictures that we didn't see her take, thus enabling us to experience every aspect of the celebration again. I highly recommend Blink of an Eye for your event.

Blink of an Eye Photography did an exceptional job in capturing our wedding and adding to the overall happiness of our day. Our pictures are beautiful and captured both moments we saw and many that we wouldn't have otherwise seen. Olivia and her assistant were friendly, professional, and blended into the background of our ceremony and reception. Olivia was always prompt in her communication and very enthusiastic about meeting any requests we made of her. I could not have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend her for both engagement and wedding photography.

Olivia & Brian were a pleasure to work with and the quality of their work is top notch! We had already had engagement photos done by a friend so Olivia adjusted the package we purchased. We had two hours of photo session at our small wedding. But we got abundant pictures which are very artistic and professional. My husband and I didn’t have any experience of professional photography so I was worried that we might look not very natural or beautiful, but Olivia has a talent to catch the moment. That is why the shots were very interesting even though we didn’t pose intentionally. I liked that Olivia was very punctual as we could see our pictures in 2 weeks after the wedding. So we are very happy that had Olivia as a photographer at our wedding.

Our wedding, in Newport RI, was beautifully captured including all the special shots we requested(lots of wonderful pictures of my 85 year old mom!)She goes above and beyond to make sure she is at the right place at the right time and all without once being "intrusive". Olivia did a fantastic job capturing our day perfectly! From getting comfortable with her at our engagement session to corresponding back and forth around all the details - she was wonderful and easy to work with! The final pictures/product was fantastic - a variety of very natural looking shots. Family and friends were so complementary of her work. My husband and I would recommend her to any bride out there!

We cannot recommend Olivia enough. We were thrilled with how all of our pictures came out. There really was not a moment that we wanted that she did not capture -- Kate and her dad walking down the aisle, our kiss, breaking the glass, the moment we walked into the reception, our first dance, the two of us and our parents being hoisted up on the chairs, etc. It was all in there and better than we could have imagined. We also really liked the package that we got and thought it was very reasonable. You cannot underestimate how nice it is to have prints of so many shots at your fingertips right away. We still have not made our album (which is fine), so in the meantime, it is nice to be able to look at the prints and/or to access them online. When Olivia was done with our photography, she insisted on meeting with us in person to go over everything together. It was really nice. Finally, we cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed Olivia and her assistant Beth on the day of. Olivia is just such a lovely and calming presence -- which is so important when everything else is kind of crazy. Both Olivia and Beth were sure to get all of the important shots without being in the way or bossing people around.

We used Blink of an Eye Photography last month for our intimate wedding. Olivia was great to work with! She was honest, trustworthy and professional. I was incredibly surprised when Olivia came to my house today to drop off my CD and prints. They were incredible! Somehow she managed to sneak in at the most opportune moments and capture the most incredible shots. Everyone that has seen the pictures so far agrees what a great job she did. Olivia and Beth (her assistant) were amazing and I cannot say enough about them. After meeting with Olivia the first time I knew that she was the perfect photographer for us. The photographs they took were beautiful and they captured all of the special moments and the feel of our wedding. It was amazing how the pictures revealed the personalities of our wedding party and guests. One of my main requests for the wedding was to have a lot of pictures of the children she managed to capture the fun they were having. I really enjoyed having her at our wedding and she was available yet completely unobtrusive. Olivia is very warm and genuine and the photographs reflect that. She took so many incredible pictures that it is hard to choose! I felt like we missed so much of what happened at our wedding because we were so busy talking to people and now I can see everything else that went on through the photographs.

We loved working with Olivia and her team at Blink of an Eye Photography. She was the first person we interviewed when looking at photographers and cancelled all of our other appointments because we loved her so much! She completely worked with us on price and packages. It was important that our parents recieved albums and that was not part of the package in our budget. Once Olivia knew that was important to us she was flexible enough to add the albums and remove something else that was less important. We had the best wedding day. Olivia and he colleague showed up super early (in a good way) and did not charge us for the extra time. She wasn't pushy and did not get in the way of what we were doing, which I have seen in the past with MANY other wedding photographers. She was very creative in coming up with picture of my friends, family and pup! My favorite is a candid of my Boston Terrier in a bowtie standing in front of all of our feet! I told Olivia how important it was to get big group pictures during dinner at our reception (So we didn't have to cut into Party time!!!). This worked out perfectly. We ended up with a great mix of candids, groups and shots of me and my new husband. The best part about working with Olivia is how fast we were able to view our pictures! We were able to get a sneak peak a little after a month of our wedding and recieved all of our pictures around 6 weeks! She even sent us some surprise copies of pictures that weren't in our package! I would completely reccomend Blink of an Eye Photography for any bride who wants beautiful, artistic yet classic pictures. She was super laid back and never made us feel uncomfortable or that we needed to keep posing all day. Isn't that what its all about? I can't say enough about Olivia! We loved working with her. She specializes in Weddings and Kids and we had both! So she was perfect for us. She was very flexible and made sure to get to know us during our engagement photo shoot. She was great with my step children and made a special point to get to know them as well. It was such a great experience. I would highly recommend her to anyone!!

Olivia is absolutely amazing. She knows what she wants in a photo, and she takes no time to get it perfectly. By the end of the ceremony, her and her partner, Beth, just disappear into the background and snap away. I forgot they were even there!

We got really lucky in choosing Olivia Wilcox to handle our wedding photography. During our search, we happened across her website. There was something fun and authentic about her photos that immediately drew us to her work. Upon meeting her, we loved her friendly personality and her patience with our lack of knowledge about photography or ability to articulate what we wanted out of our pictures. Despite being the type of people who don't enjoy posing and being photographed, we actually really enjoyed our engagement shoot. Olivia was really flexible and accommodating and offered good suggestions for photos and backdrops we wouldn't have thought of. She was also really pleasant to spend an evening with. On the day of the wedding itself, Olivia struck the perfect balance of getting all the pictures we wanted without being obtrusive or demanding. She was really efficient in arranging the guests for the pictures we wanted, but was also really low-key and low-stress. We never felt hassled, herded, or posed. We recently received the proofs of the photos and really love them. There are a lot of really creative arrangements and backdrops that make our photos feel unique and fun, but they also seem classic and not at all over-the-top. We weren't even aware that Olivia and her assistant were taking many of the photos, especially from the reception, and were impressed with the details she noticed and managed to capture. Finally, Olivia has been excellent about letting us decide which formats and options we receive our photos. In addition to a DVD with rights to the pictures and prints, she's given us convenient appealing options for ordering photos for albums without being at all pushy about ordering anything at all or trying to sell anything extra. We couldn't have been happier with our photographer and would recommend Olivia to anyone looking for a talented photographer who is going to be a lot of fun to have around on the wedding day and not generate any unneeded stress at all.

Having Olivia as photographer for our July 1, 2011 wedding in Newport, Rhode Island was simply delightful! With her gentle presence - which immediately put everyone at ease - coupled with an extraordinary eye for discerning the subtleties of moments in time, Olivia captured both traditional portraits and candid photographs which touch the heart and evoke all the beauty and joy of our wedding day. Olivia was patient and accomodating through everything. From our engagement photo shoot, to getting ready, the ceremony, and the reception; she was professional, subtle, and artistically savvy. Her framing of certain shots added elegance to our happy day. Having our shots available online a month later was also very convenient for us and our guests... a very nice feature! I found "Blink of an Eye" on the Wedding Channel website. Immediately upon viewing the website, I knew that I had found the right person to work with us. Olivia is simply lovely and incredibly talented! Her photos truly captured who Bruno and I are as a couple and the spirit of the day. This feels like a strange thing to say, yet in looking at all of our pictures it is so, so true! She has such an eye for capturing the moments that are important and makes them even better with her choices of lenses, use/ non- use of the flash and her unobtrusive manner. She was all over the ceremony and reception yet almost never seen. She is patient, kind and thoughtful and we so loved working with her. Our families and wedding party were both large and she handled all of the "portraits" with the patience of a saint. She found humor in all that was going on and was able to "herd the cats" expertly. Her value is second to none! We selected the "middle" package that included an engagement shoot (which provides the perfect opportunity for her to get to know you and vise versa), 9 hours of photography in multiple locations, a full set of proofs in beautiful albums, a stunning and thoughtful slide show, a website to share proofs with family and guests and a stunning flush mount album. I really can't say enough wonderful things about Olivia. We adored her and feel so lucky to have had her as part of our wedding day.

Words cannot express how perfect Olivia's pictures are! She did our engagement shoot in October and we are still getting compliments! The day of the wedding was great- Olivia has such a cool and calm vibe that really puts everyone at ease! You don't even know she is there! We are dying to see our photo's! She is so sweet, she would even show us on her camera some of the great shots! We know they will be amazing and I am sure I will be writing another review once we do!

My husband and i got married in Newport in April and Olivia and her team was amazing to work with! They were early, organized, and extremely easy to work with! The photos are Unbelievable... My husband and I recently got married in August of this year in Newport, RI. It was the most amazing day and when we saw Olivia's pictures it was like being right back in the moment. She has the most amazing eye for candid shots and that was really important to me. I really wanted everything captured the way it really happened and Olivia did just that. Having been to many weddings over the summer and looking at the work of other photographers I really feel Olivia goes above and beyond and her work is exceptional. She was also such a pleasure to work with, trying to accomodate all of our requests from taking our enagagement pictures in Paris to working extra hours the day of the wedding. In addition to her brilliant personality, she is very professional. I loved how quickly she would respond to all my questions. We recently found out we are pregnant and can't wait to work with Olivia again for the baby pictures and thereafter. I wouldn't work with anyone else when it comes to our photography needs. I'm so glad we found her!

Olivia and her Blink of An Eye staff were amazing for our wedding. She is not only a skilled photographer with over 20 years of experience under her belt, but she is warm and calm and will go to great lengths- whether scheduling "meetings" over email for us (we live 600 miles away from RI), or taking off her shoes to jump over rocks to get "The Shot". From start to finish, her work is polished- everything form the getting ready pictures to the ceremony to the candids at the reception. We chose not to have 2 photographers throughout the entire wedding day, but she happily accommodated our request for 2 photographers to capture every moment from getting ready to walking back down the aisle after our vows. Olivia and her assistants immediately put everyone at ease and took some great pre-ceremony pictures, both candids and formals. She absolutely captured the essential moments during the ceremony, but also focused on our guests and details of the ceremony that may have otherwise gone unnoticed if she hadn't captured them on film. Once the party started after the ceremony, Olivia kind of melted into the background- honestly it rarely crossed my mind that someone was there taking pictures of us the entire day, which was a huge relief to me because I stiffen up so much in front of the camera. Olivia was able to take pictures of everyone at the wedding, and not just as a "yearbook" picture either- she got some great shots of college friends, family members and friends, and everyone interacting and having a great time. I'm not gonna lie, photographers are expensive across the board. But this is the one chance you have to really have a permanent lasting memory of your Big Day. And in that instance, you want someone who is going to put their best efforts out there for you, just like they have with the events in their portfolios. Olivia absolutely went above and beyond and was worth every penny.

Being in the entertainment world, I myself have worked with many photographers but when first meeting with Olivia, it was a great experience for my husband and I. She was kind, pleasant, straight forward, and had a true eye! My husband and I were extremely pleased with her work and without a second of thinking, I booked Olivia right away. Her work is remarkable and it shows! From the day I met her, I knew that she would be the only photographer that I would ever recommend anyone to. I am looking forward to working with her again! This past July my husband and I got married in Newport, RI. Olivia Wilcox/Blink of an Eye Photography was our wedding photographer. We couldn't be pleased more with the fantastic photos! Olivia is professional yet warm and friendly to work with - our meetings leading up to the wedding were enjoyable - she knew exactly what we were looking for. She and her assistant were wonderful on the wedding day - the entire wedding party had fun taking the pictures. The end product is OUTSTANDING - over 1,000 photos were shot. The attention to details including flowers, food, and decoration was impressive. She really captured our most beloved moments of the day in a real sense. Her photos have a great deal of emotion attached to them - she has a knack for capturing emotional expressions on our faces as well as family and friends. We were lucky enough to find this wonderful woman with an artistic eye to photograph the weddings of my son and my daughter last summer. We were looking for a "photographer", but we found a treasure who captured the magical images gently -- respecting the importance of the event. She is a rare gift. Her photographer's eye is awesome and her sensitivity extraordinary. When you see her work you'll think she must have been invisible.

that looking at our wedding pictures after the fact was almost as amazing and moving as the wedding itself! Her photographs are artful but personal and capture all of the nuances and emotions of the day. As a bride who *hates* - and I mean rally *HATES* - to have my picture taken, what I appreciated most about Olivia was her unobtrusive style. I know from seeing my wedding pictures that she was everywhere that day, capturing everything, but managed to do so without me ever knowing there was a camera on me. The result are many, many beautiful, unselfconscious photos. The only downside to Olivia being unobtrusive is that she is also one super cool lady and you'll regret not getting to see more of her over the course of the day! Anyway, I *highly* recommend Blink of an Eye Photography. I personally favor really candid wedding photos and Olivia delivered those wonderfully. However, I also know from perusing her website when I was looking for a photographer that she can do so much more - checkout her website! You won't regret it!

Olivia was wonderful to work with very upbeat but still very professional. Even though our wedding day was muggy and overcast she was able to get tons of great shots. No one looked glossy. Her ability to work with color and light was excellent.;She was so wonderful I regret not having her there all night long or at least a few extra hours.
