there to capture us getting ready and continued to get footage of the church and the venue throughout the day (even in the rain). With our reception not starting till later, they were so accommodating on time and stuck around till the end with us! We also loved the interview we did before guests arrived. We loved having the chance to reflect on our relationship and will cherish the video. Our neighbor had told us not having a videographer was her one regret and I cannot be more thankful for that advise as choosing Blink of an Eye will allow us to relive that day forever! ore ways than one - without going into too much detail, a specific example of this was his willingness to work with me to get special approval for a type of videography that is not typically permitted at the location of our wedding. (It was a group effort and it came together beautifully in the end).
Videography is a serious hobby of mine and Thomas embraced that and worked with me to produce a stunning memento of our wedding day that my wife and I will cherish forever. Although I have no where near the level of skill and knowledge that Thomas has - I know it when I see it. He naturally captured every detail big and small. The true masterpiece comes in the final product when he works his magic in the production room. Our wedding video is nothing short of a feature length film set to all of our favorite music, with state of the art editing techniques clearly used in the process. It was a long day, especially in the heat during outdoor photos in the afternoon, but we really appreciated Tom's commitment to getting great footage of our wedding that we will treasure as a keepsake forever. We also appreciated how well he worked with our photographer and how both of them seemed in sync and never competing with each other to get a particular shot. The finished product was truly a professional quality video that has blown us away with each subsequent viewing. We have never seen a wedding videographer capture personal interviews with the bride and groom throughout the day before to weave through the video to create a narrative, and we loved having these personal conversations captured throughout the story. Tom was great to work with before, during, and after our wedding day and we cannot thank him enough!

That was not where the excellence ended. We received our wedding trailer and it blew us away. Tom captured several special moments from our wedding that we missed or had forgotten. The filming and editing were beautifully done. Again, there's more. We received our wedding DVDs in the mail wrapped in a beautiful box with personal pictures on the DVDs and case. The little touches like that solidified our decision to go with Blink of an Eye Productions.

e asked for. My favorite moment? Unlike the other four examples he'd shown me, my DVD didn't end with the dancing montage. He cut back to a song from the reception, which honored a favorite movie of mine. The way the video was editted, it reminds me exactly of the movie from which it was from...how cool is that? (NO, I didn't think to ask for that!)

Thomas Hartmann is the owner and creative director of Blink of an Eye Productions. He is an award winning filmmaker, corporate video producer and professional wedding videographer with over two decades of experience in the industry. Thomas studied Film and Television at The University of Notre Dame and Columbia College in Chicago. He is the director of the award winning documentary Searching for Eddie Running Wolf (www.searchingforeddierunningwolf.com), has filmed for corporations such as Walmart and Ace Hardware, and has produced more than 500 wedding films for clients across the globe.
