We are a NEW venue opening this Spring 2026! Bliss Barn at Sherwood Forest is a stunning rustic boujee wedding venue in Avoca, NE, where you and your partner can realize the dream of a lifetime. It is conveniently positioned between Omaha, Lincoln, and Nebraska City, so it is easily accessible to out-of-town guests and long-distance travelers. You have spent decades dreaming about your ideal wedding venue, and now it is here, right before you. The image of the person you are locking eyes with is clear, but what lies beyond them is not. Yet. When you first visit Bliss Barn at Sherwood Forest, you will witness a magical venue that offers an over-the-top day without the over-the-top prices. The Bliss Barn itself combines grand timbers and soft, neutral tones and sits among tranquil valleys and rolling hills next to the still waters of a three-acre heart-shaped pond. I honestly don’t even know where to begin with my 5 star review. When I got engaged, the first thing I picked was the date of the wedding. I was so set on this date. It just sounde...
d so right and I couldn’t imagine picking any other day. That was until we toured bliss barn at Sherwood Forest. I brought my mom, my future mother in law and my fiancé with me. We were all stunned by how amazing the venue is and how thoughtful and kind Tammy is. Needless to say the venue was booked on the day I had my mind zeroed in on, but at that point it didn’t matter because I completely switched courses and was like I will change the day that my heart was set on for this venue because it was just too good to pass on. Before we even walked out of the venue, we knew this was the one and we would do what it takes to book with bliss barn. My fiancé also had his heart set on flying into the reception on a helicopter. He wanted that so badly but we were told it couldn’t happen at this venue. My fiancé didn’t even care. He wanted this venue as badly as I did and he knew he didn’t want to risk ruining the beautiful outdoor scenery with a helicopter landing. I am not kidding this venue literally has everything and more. There is no topping it in our eyes. We couldn’t find a single flaw and Tammy’s presentation of it was absolutely magical. Not to mention, the venue manager, Megan, has been phenomenal with the whole booking process. Megan responds so lightning fast and answers all my questions with so much thought. She provides lots of resources for us and really makes it known she wants our day to be as perfect as we do. If you want a venue that really cares about making your day magical, I am telling you this is it. I would also recommend looking into the story behind bliss barn or meeting with Tammy for a tour and she does an incredible job telling the story that it will have you on the verge of tears. Also we are having our ceremony at a church 50 minutes away from the venue and we aren’t even getting ready at the church. We want to get ready at the venue because the bridal and groom rooms are so beautiful that we couldn’t pass it up. We are willing to make the drive to the venue, then to the church, then back to the venue just due to how much thought Tammy put into every detail of this venue. We are so excited to get married at our perfect venue in 2027 and can’t thank Tammy and Megan enough for making it all happen!

g short of exceptional. The owner is incredibly thoughtful and kind, so genuinely invested in making sure everything feels special. You can tell she cares as though our event were for her own family. The manager is equally amazing, paying attention to every last detail with such care and precision that she takes all of my worries away and I could actually be free to truly relax and enjoy the day. The venue itself is beautiful, with grounds that are pure bliss (the minute we got there we totally understood how it got its name!). It has all the beauty of nature without feeling overly manicured or artificial. The vibe is warm, welcoming, and positive, creating the perfect backdrop for celebrations of all kinds. They are also wonderfully accommodating, making sure every need is met with grace and a smile. Bliss Barn at Sherwood Forest is exactly the kind of place where lifelong memories are made. I can’t recommend it highly enough!
