Massachusetts. She kept us on track with our to do list and suggested the best vendors we could've ever imagined working with. She was responsive (literally, like would respond to emails within 5 mins!), communicative and she always had answers to our random questions that come with planning a destination wedding. We had the BEST night of our lives and we owe such a big thank you to Kirsten for making it a seamless, dream wedding.

g to the hotel coordinator, realized that we needed one to manage the vendors outside the hotel. Our main priority for our wedding was to limit the stress during planning and the day off. We decided on Bliss in Bloom because of their impeccable reputation/reviews and they are one of the most experienced on the island. We also resonated with Kirsten’s communication style and problem-solving. Since we didn’t select the full coordination package, we did do a significant portion of planning, however we were able to reach out to Kirsten whenever we reached a roadblock, wanted advice or had any questions. Utilizing the provided Aisle Planner software was also useful to understand what tasks needed to be on our radar, communicating the event space to vendors (the layout feature was really cool) and generally highlighting the nuts and bolts to planning the event. Kirsten took over the planning ~7 weeks prior to the wedding and, due to the shared planning software, already had a good idea of what we had accomplished and our vision was. The early handoff was also fortunate, as there were some abnormalities with the information from the hotel coordinator that she immediately zeroed in on. Unfortunately, the hotel coordinator I had been interfacing with was inexperienced and had strongly implied that the ceremony AV was provided by the hotel and had not objected to the reception food choices (three courses, each with different choices). We, of course, had never planned a wedding and were ignorant that this wasn’t typical! Kirsten was upfront with the issues, ensured we understood the possible outcomes, and negotiated with the hotel; we ended up with what we originally envisioned. She also helped to close bookings with the AV vendor that the hotel coordinator hadn’t yet completed, at a lower rate than I had been quoted. She worked with a new hotel coordinator to finalize the enormous and detailed BEO document that outlined every detail of our wedding day. We were, of course, insulated from the day-to-day communications and vendor negotiations, and I do wonder how much less work/stress/money we would have saved if we had signed up for full coordination rather than just month of coordination, and had hired Bliss in Bloom prior to signing the hotel contract. Since our priority was to limit stress, we also relied on Bliss in Bloom to make decisions that we didn’t have explicit instructions for and to provide alternative solutions for unexpected issues. For example, we delegated the photobooth location decision and trusted Kirsten to make any adjustments needed to the reception layout. Kirsten discovered during the Rehearsal the typical ceremony location had recently had a tree removed, with a large hole in its place. Since we weren’t insistent on that specific location, Kirsten proposed other viewpoints on the same lawn (which ended up looking great!). Lastly, the execution on the day of was crisp and well-handled. Things just…happened! Organization plays a big part in executing performance, so this was not a surprise. Leading up to the wedding it was clear Kirsten had everything organized and was keeping the vendors appraised of their responsibilities and the timeline. In all, I would highly recommend Bliss in Bloom!

ed. Allison was a dream come true in the month leading up to the wedding and, of course, during the entire big day. The group thinks of every possible detail and takes care of a million things behind the scenes, allowing us to relax and just enjoy our beautiful day. They work with an exceptional group of high quality vendors and are able to personally recommend anyone/anything based on the vision for the event. Allison had an emergency kit the day of the wedding with just about anything you'd ever want/need. She led the rehearsal and handled every detail leading up to the wedding. I highly recommend Bliss in Bloom to anyone considering a wedding on the Big Island. They are, hands down, the reason our wedding was truly special and so much more than we dreamed it would be.

After speaking with Allison for 5 minutes I knew no detail would be missed and everything would be handled professionally and with care. She was reassuring and addressed all the worries I had from dealing with the previous planner with patience and kindness. From unexpected decks built in the middle of the lawn to a downpour an hour before the ceremony, Allison handled it all! Experience/Expertise — Allison has over a decade of experience in wedding planning. This allows her (and her team) to anticipate and react well to new situations. For example, when it rained for 5 minutes at my wedding, Allison was behind the scenes toweling up the dance floor to ready the stage. Allison also prepped & turned on the 100 glow sicks for the after party and placed them in a cute bin (without me asking or even knowing) so that it was perfectly presented when people rushed to the afterparty. 2. Attention to Detail — In the interview process with Allison, attention to detail was one of the many things that I screened for. Through hearing Allisons stories, it was obvious that she was detail oriented. She made sure the smallest of details (Wording of all stationary items, frames used, napkin holders, even the spacing of text on the menus, etc.) were considered. 3. Connections — Allison and her team have strong connections to suppliers and vendors across the island. 4. Execution — The level of execution leading up to the wedding and on the day of the wedding was unmatched. On the day of the wedding I observed Allison fielding questions from me, my family, 180 friends/guests, and all while staying sane and running through a checklist of 150 items from our 30-page minute-by-minute timeline + anticipating and reacting to new circumstances.

About 10-11 months out, Lana and Kirsten helped us get initial quotes regarding rentals and florals and make adjustments based on our budget. Kirsten gave us vendor recommendations as well and was super responsive and helpful regarding any questions we had. From our initial phone call, I could tell how experienced Kirsten was and her communication style and organization made the planning process enjoyable and relatively stress-free. About 6 weeks out, another phone call was set up to finalize the timeline and at this point, Kirsten took over contacting and confirming with all of our vendors. She took care of all the small details leading up to our big day and of course the day of, allowing us to just be present and enjoy our time with our family and friends. isco Bay Area and were getting married at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel. Why that isn't reason enough... But now, he tells all of our friends they need to hire Bliss in Bloom for their weddings. Hawaii held a special meaning for my husband and I, and we knew immediately we wanted to get married at the Mauna Kea Hotel. But we lived halfway across the Pacific Ocean and didn't know where to start. Not only was planning a wedding overwhelming, but planning a wedding during a pandemic added uncertainty to the already overwhelming process. It was Allison who made our dreams come to life. Planning a wedding during the pandemic with the future unknown, Allison was very attentive, forthcoming, and calm as we planned a wedding with many things uncertain. She assured us that no matter what it will still be a day to remember, made the planning process a lot easier. Our monthly phone calls and online website made communication and planning so easy. She was incredibly professional throughout the entire process, and the perfect person to be there the day of to help with all of our last minute needs. Our wedding was the best day of our lives, and thanks to Allison and Bliss in Bloom, it went off without a hitch. Our only problem was that our dance floor was too small! Our wedding exceeded all our expectations, and came together so well, we are incredibly grateful for the time and effort Allison and her team put into this. help coordinating our destination wedding. We had to postpone our wedding in 2020 due to Covid, and had to file for a permit to hold our wedding on the Big Island this October, 2021. Kirsten communicated with all our vendors to reschedule and secure their availability on our new date, sent us updated contracts, as well as kept us up to date with the constantly changing covid-19 travel restrictions. Kirsten and Bliss in Bloom far exceeded our expectations. Our wedding day was so seamless and stress free, that we were able to really cut loose, spend time with our guests, and dance the night away! Kirsten was extremely professional, communicative, flexible, and best of all laid back! Truly a pleasure to work with. y, but the venue we had originally booked wouldn't let our officiant in (they weren't on the "guest list"). Lynn also was not "on the list". We panicked and pandemonium ensued. We were not ready to give up on our original spot. We argued and fought with the venue's management for hours, always seemingly only a few minutes away from reaching a deal. While we were in sheer denial of what was happening, Lynn knew that things were not going to work out. At the last minute, she coordinated an alternative location, on the same beach but about a mile down from where we were originally planning to be. This location ended up being even better and we cannot thank her enough! Bliss & Bloom, you saved us.

at I wanted and could only provide random Pinterest images and explanations of what I did not want, and they somehow easily spun that into the perfect wedding. They constantly provided me with excellent ideas, quick responses and updates, as well as all around support.  I feel like I had people on my side at all times. They made everything feel effortless, fun and stress free, which was always appreciated as I was planning our wedding from out of state. Allison always encouraged me to do what I wanted or what felt right to me and gently reigned me in when necessary. If I so much as mentioned an idea during one of our weekly chats, Kirsten and Allison had a quote lined up within days so that I could decide if it was something I wanted to move forward with.  It's obvious in everything they do that they are very experienced and well connected.  The week of the wedding Allison said all the right things, but also backed up what she said with her actions; calmly dealing with my indecisiveness, last minute changes, high winds and Covid issues. Every vendor they recommended and/or provided was wonderful.  Bliss and Bloom's day of coordination was movie-like as the team worked discretely throughout the night: the timeline was upheld, our parents and family were always in the right place at the right time and everyone and everything was taken care of. I would not hesitate to recommend the ladies of Bliss and Bloom over and over again and feel so lucky that they were part of my 'Big Day'.

date on March 28, 2020 to an uncertain time in the future. Through it all, Kirsten has been there for us. If our wedding proceeded as planned on March 28th, Kirsten definitely made the process as painless as possible. We had many scattered ideas of what we wanted, and Kirsten was able to make sense of all of It and create a wedding that was picture perfect. A week from our wedding date, we had decided to postpone due to COVID concerns. Kirsten did all the legwork to contact our vendors, and checked up on us periodically just to see how we were doing. We then settled for February 2021, but again decided to delay to June (a full 15 months from our original date!) for vaccination purposes. Again, Kirsten did everything to make the process so smooth. Then the big day came - there were no hiccups, all the pieces fell perfectly into place, and everything was so picturesque. We could not be happier with how everything went. Even the small stuff that may have been issues, were not issues at all because of the Bliss in Bloom team. Seriously, if you are reading this wondering if Bliss in Bloom would act in your best interest, or if you don’t know who to choose because it may seem so overwhelming, keep this in mind - Kirsten was such a supportive part of one of the most testing and grueling experiences in wedding planning, and still, she handled it with such grace. You want someone who is organized, compassionate, down-to-earth, experienced, and professional, and she was all that and more. Kirsten - thank you for making our day so special. You’re the best!

wedding was canceled the day the CDC banned 50 person gatherings. We were 2 days away from leaving. As an ICU nurse, this was an extremely difficult time to not only choose to postpone our dream wedding, but wait in uncertainty. And we waited, and waited, and waited, for months. Hawaii's travel guidelines were not only the most limited but continued far beyond everywhere else.  As things began to slowly open up in Hawaii, we began to pick up the pieces and replan. Throughout the roller coaster emotions, Allison was there with us for it all. She, of all people, more than understood how devastating and frustrating this was for us. She listened, was kind, understanding, supportive, and was above all always patient with us. Responses were always quick, thoughtful, and genuine in giving feedback to help my extreme indecisiveness. I appreciated how positive and fluid her relationships with the other vendors were, and come the day of, all worked together like a well oiled machine (post COVID mind you). This was very telling of how well she ran Bliss in Bloom, operating in a small community who honor and live aloha.  Up until our new big day, many things were still uncertain. Allison was honest in expectations and was prepared for anything to happen. A few days before the wedding, Hawaii required an event form be submitted and approved to have our wedding. Before I could even worry, she was of course on top of it and we were approved. Just to make sure we abided by our paperwork, 9 of Kona's finest police officers made an appearance during the reception (must have been a slow night?). Some guests told me of how Allison was on them at the doorway, paperwork in hand and teeth out ready to defend our wedding day! They joked about being strippers, wished us well, and we got a priceless photo out of it.  In the end, May 1, 2021 was perfect. I have goosebumps sitting here looking back on just how truly perfect it was. I can't help but feel our original date needed to fall apart for the new one to come together. And Bliss in Bloom made that happen. I am overcome with endless gratitude and love for Allison and the Bliss in Bloom team. Did I tell you she even pinned the boutonnière on my groom? On top of the many duties she had that day! Nothing short from above and beyond. It was my second easiest YES I have ever said! Don’t even second guess it, BOOK THEM!

the first to respond and she was very excited to work with us. She did not discourage us that it was too early to plan for a 2020 wedding. Allison has planned many weddings without the couple ever stepping onto the island, but what better way to do a weekend getaway for "wedding planning?" We flew out three times from LAX over the following year and we met up with Allison every time. We knew we were in good hands. She would even point out things we never knew we needed! She has worked with many vendors on the island and we trusted her insight. Allison also worked with us whenever we felt one of the vendors was out of our budget. We used the Aisle Planner website to keep track of our vendors, decisions, budget, and inspiration pictures. Allison and her team were easily accessible by text and email. They contacted all the vendors for us and figured out what deposits were needed. As it got closer to our wedding day, Allison scheduled monthly phone calls with us to make sure everything was still on track. In March 2020, our lives changed and the pandemic threw the biggest wrench at all our hard work. We desperately held on to our wedding date in April 2020 as we dealt with our shrinking guest count. Allison kept us in the loop on what was happening on the island. It was not long before we ultimately postponed our special day. While we were stuck in California, Allison notified all our vendors and took care of everything on the island, including scheduling the new wedding date for 2021. Fast forward a year later, we reached out to Allison to tie up any loose ends from the previous year. She followed up on new COVID restrictions and remaining balances with the vendors and we let her know the final guest count. DAY OF COORDINATION Allison and her team, Lynn and Kirsten, attended the church rehearsal the day before the wedding. It's a good thing we already planned out the timeline prior to the day of the wedding because everything left our brains on the wedding day. As the bridal party got dolled up, the Bliss In Bloom team overlooked the setup at both the venue and the church. I had to hide in the car before the church ceremony and Allison sensed I felt lonely. I'm so thankful Kirsten kept me company in the car to distract me from my nerves! The team made sure we stayed on schedule with toasts and dinner so we can have beautiful sunset photos. We had appetizers and drinks at our sweetheart table during cocktail hour. We also had plenty to eat for dinner and we were so full! Allison even had safety pins when the wedding dress bustle could not handle all the partying. At the end of the night, the team handled the breakdown of the venue as the bridal party left with plenty of flowers and leftovers. Do not hesitate when it comes to Bliss In Bloom! It was the best decision we made and two years of wedding planning were finally made into a beautiful reality. If Bliss In Bloom can handle a pandemic, they can handle any wedding hurdle. We will miss working with these lovely ladies and we look forward to coming back to the Big Island soon!

Lynn was our point person, and she was amazing—and that is in no way hyperbolic. 30mph winds during set-up threatened to blow away decorations (and tables at one point) and an overturned truck blocked the main road to the wedding site, but Lynn somehow managed to not only make sure the wedding was picture-perfect, she made sure nobody else had to worry about dealing with these potential issues. The ceremony and reception were perfect, and Lynn was instrumental in making that so. If you're getting married anywhere Bliss in Bloom services, I highly recommend working with them. They will make sure your big day goes just the way you want it to while taking away the stress and headaches that can go along with planning such an important event.

The planning process and gorgeous ceremony (at the Fairmont Orchid) was seamless, due to her, which let us completely enjoy ourselves during the whole process. She is absolutely wonderful!

onths after our wedding date, I’d have Bliss in Bloom FOMO. Allison and her team deserve a glowing review that I’ve struggled to craft. It seems impossible to capture the incredible experience of working with Allison. As for the phenomenal wedding that went down in Kona? There are no words! It was MAGIC. As an event planner who loves to be creative and work with her hands, I have to admit that I had major concerns about finding a someone who would be able to translate my ideas into design-driven, effortlessly cool, and insanely fun wedding we set out to offer our guests. And to do so with an entire ocean between us. Not being able to be on-site or able to touch, feel, and mix-and-match each element to our wedding was going to be a challenge for me. I naively believed that we did not need any extra help in planning our wedding as I tend to be extremely type A/organized and I grew up on the Big Island and thought I would have had an upper hand in having my family living on the Island assist with anything I needed (lol). I also didn't think that day of coordination would be worth the money. After my first call with Allison, my opinion completely changed as it was clear that she and her team had a lot of experience and positive working relationships with the hotel as well as the local vendors. This made the process so much easier and much more streamlined. Allison and Kirsten also provided me with tons of helpful information in securing vendors and negotiating contracts (something I didn't know they would provide as I had only hired them to do day of coordination). They were also gentle yet honest in telling me there were certain things I didn't need to spend money on and offered cost-effective solutions without sacrificing the design or ideas I had planned for. Allison and Kirsten were always extremely responsive and communicative in the months leading up to the wedding. Again, I did not think that a day of coordinator would assist in any of this. But throughout the entire process they were very encouraging and professional and always set up calls with me whenever I started to become overwhelmed (everything you need to help minimize any wedding related anxiety or stress). Allison also gently encouraged my husband and I to do the hula/play the saxophone after we had almost cut it off of our timeline. Our performances ended up being one of the most special parts of our reception for us. On the actual rehearsal/day of the wedding, Allison and her team were so much better than we could have imagined. Allison has the clear ability to stir the ship and delegate tasks. She also encouraged our parents/bridal party to direct any issues or concerns to her and her team to help minimize our stress. And even in the middle of directing the whole wedding day, Allison still made the time to text me to see how I was doing. Everything went soooo smoothly that my husband and I were able to cruise through the wedding day without any worries or concerns. The month leading up to the wedding, she took over and went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and assured. The day of--perfection. I was able to take swim, hang out with friends, and a slow lunch the day of...imagine that! The team even handled an unexpected shower with grace and stayed on time. ease. The best wedding planning advice I received was to hire a day of coordinator – put it in the budget early. I was referred to a couple of wedding planning companies, reached out to all of them – had to do my due diligence :) And I felt her questionnaire was the most thorough and insightful. Gave her a ring and from our first conversation – she was so helpful, creative and professional. Though I signed up for the month of/ day of package – she did not hesitate to answer any questions I had leading up to my wedding. She created the most detailed, organized timeline – the timeline is what I was most stressed about. Lyn led my rehearsal the day before and was perfect. I’ll admit, I had a tiny breakdown and Lyn was there to help. The big day – I could not imagine my wedding day without Bliss in Bloom. It’s the best feeling knowing you can trust a team with your wedding – a year in the making, lots of money bags dropped, everyone there to celebrate you and your husband to be. Like many weddings, we had a couple hiccups – food was late, groomsman getting out of hand, people eating the donut wall when they weren’t supposed to… Allison had a solution for EVERYTHING. I was not worried at all – and she always made sure I had a drink in my hand :) If you’ve read this far – do yourself a favor and let Bliss in Bloom do their thing – they are experts in what they do. iewing a number of different planners on the Big Island and from Oahu. We worked with Allison for about 12 months prior to the wedding. She was responsive, organized, and answered all of my questions throughout the planning process. As someone who is very Type A, detailed and a little bit of a control freak, Allison was patient and great in making sure I felt comfortable and had everything I needed leading up to the wedding. We had almost 200 crazy rich Asians [rich in love, laughter and adventure :) ] fly in from around the world to celebrate our big day. Allison and her team expertly and tactfully dealt with everything our group threw at them (an unbelievably demanding mother, a groom that fell ill during the welcome dinner and ended up in the back of an ambulance, last minute seating changes, family members running late and throwing off the schedule, food service issues, vendor issues, etc). Despite all of the curveballs and unforeseen issues that popped up behind the scenes, Allison never showed any outward signs of stress. She was at all of our events with a big smile on her face and was able to make sure our guests enjoyed themselves. She was a calming presence throughout the weekend. After our weekend of events concluded (a chinese tea ceremony, a welcome luau with fire and hula dancers, a picture perfect ceremony on the lawn followed by a magical reception under the lights in the hotel luau grounds, a karaoke after party and a nourishing farewell brunch), I was finally able to take a breather and look back at all that Allison had done for us. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of. Many of our guests (and even some of the hotel staff!) said that our wedding weekend was the most fun and memorable wedding they had ever been a part of. Allison was the main reason for that, and I will be forever grateful to her for pulling off an incredible weekend that I will cherish forever.

Allison has great relationships with all the vendors on the island and managed all the communication with them so we could just funnel everything through her. She has a great design eye and vision and made the entire weekend beautiful end to end. We really wanted to stick within our budget and she was also creative in coming up with ways we could make our money spread further without sacrificing quality. Honestly she was worth every penny because I could spend my wedding week just enjoying my friends & family knowing everything would be taken care of. If we could do it all over again, we wouldn't have changed a thing. Thank you Allison!

Going through the little details was overwhelming, but Allison helped talk me through my ideas. She was thoughtful with great attention to detail. ever forget how happy, and supported Allison and Lynn left me feeling after our very first conversation, and each connection after that. Lynn brought me to tears many times, even just thinking afterward about how she put her whole heart and soul into our wedding. As guests started to arrive, we had to close the doors where I was getting ready- I didn’t even do a final walk through, because I had full faith that in Lynn’s hands, it would all be perfect. The vendor suggestions, coordination and timeline preparation, rehearsal and wedding timeline were all exceptionally executed.
