We offer totally upscale looks and high-end products for hair and makeup. Over a decade of up-style experience! Braiding and hair floral.
I specialize in natural bridal makeup and have a private-label mineral-based product that's hypoallergenic, along with all the popular brands and eyelash applications. We come to your location with everything and, if needed, extra staff for makeup and hair. Staying on schedule is so important, and having you ready for your photographer is essential.

I've been in the business for over 35 years I graduated cosmetology school on Long Island New York moved to Maine in 1997 and I opened my second salon in 2008 I strictly do makeup. I have a private label make up called' BlissNy' it is all mineral-based. I also do lashes. There are a variety of talented ladies that work at Sheer Bliss doing all hair services and we love weddings .We just Celebrated 15 years for 2023 at this location . We are celebrating Best of weddings for 2022 & 2023 from ‘The Knot’

Myself, my bridesmaids, my mom, and my MIL all felt the most stunning we have ever felt. Even months after the wedding we cannot stop talking about how beautiful we all felt! Elle does an amazing job at working with each person’s features to bring them out in a way that looks so beautifully natural. Paula is a hair wizard and nailed every single hairstyle that we asked for. Both ladies listen attentively to what you want and make it happen!
I couldn’t recommend Elle, Paula, and their team enough. They helped make my wedding so special, and left such an impression that I’ll continue seeing them for any hair and makeup needs in the future.

She and Paula were able to travel to my actual venue to get everybody ready and their pricing is very reasonable (availability for them to travel this depends on location, etc, just heads up). I tell you... I've known this woman via text for a few months, but after seeing the joy and surprise on my face after my look was complete, we both cried and hugged. She TRULY loves what she does and helping brides feel amazing. She genuinely connects and celebrates every single bride she works with, it's so heartwarming and I am forever grateful!

sure everyone was done on time and looked amazing. All my bridesmaids looked perfect! All of us have different skin types and no one looked out of place. Hair and make up lasted all night. I have extremely thick hair and my main concern was it falling out through out the night, while some of it fell out 95% of my hair stayed up in the updo. I was pretty shocked how good it held in place and how my make up didn't sweat off in 80 degree weather in August.

Makeup & Hair:
Elle is a true artist. She listened carefully to my preferences and enhanced my natural features beautifully, creating a flawless look that lasted from the ceremony through the reception. The high-quality products she used meant I never had to worry about touch-ups. My bridal party looked equally stunning, with each look tailored perfectly to suit their individual styles.
Paula, who did my hair, was equally impressive. Even though I changed my mind from what we did during the trial, she effortlessly brought my vision to life. My hair looked incredible and stayed perfect through all the dancing and festivities, while still feeling comfortable—which was so important on such a long and eventful day.
Olivia took care of many of the bridesmaids' hair and makeup, and her work was exceptional. The team was also incredibly patient with my young nieces, making them feel extra special for the big day.
Experience:
The entire team arrived on time, was impeccably organized, and created a calm, fun atmosphere while we were getting ready. They worked efficiently, yet we never felt rushed. They arrived around 9 am for my 3:30 pm ceremony with a first look. This is much later than many weddings I have been in which allowed us to sleep in and enjoy the morning rather than having to rush. Their expertise and warm personalities shone through, making it clear they are true professionals in the bridal industry.

If you’re looking for a glam team that will make you feel like the most beautiful version of yourself on your big day, look no further than Bliss NY Makeup & Hair. Their talent, expertise, and warm personalities made my wedding day experience truly unforgettable. Despite me having no idea what I wanted as hair and make up really are not my thing, Amber and Paula were amazing and helped me find my look.
Amber did the make up for me and my bridal party and Paula did all of our hair. Despite my very sensitive skin, I didn’t break out at all as their products are so light and gentle. Everyone was so happy with how it turned out and everyone looked amazing! Cannot thank them all enough!

was so kind to wait for my MIL to do her hair when she had a funeral the same day as the wedding. I scheduled 6 bridesmaid hair appointments and 2 mothers plus my brides hair. They brought Olivia as well, so we finished with plenty of time to spare. Never once did I feel rushed or crunched for time (and we even started at 8am which was amazing compared to some 5am wedding hair appointments I’ve had to endure!). Elle did makeup and she is beyond talented at her art. She knows what she is doing and does it with a great sense of humor. SHE WILL MAKE YOU LOOK LIKE A QUEEN! My makeup was not over the top and I had a special glow. Overall I cannot say enough good things about Bliss NY and the staff! Book them ASAP for your wedding!

extremely talented and made me look like a beautiful bride! Not once on my wedding day morning did I feel rushed or question if these two would be able to finish all of the hair and makeup in time... what an amazing feeling!! Paula somehow mastered the hair for 8 ladies in a short period of time and Elle & her assistant did all of the make up and lashes (I was very impressed)! All of my bridesmaids looked stunning and that was all thanks to Sheer Bliss Salon and Spa. I highly recommend using this vendor for your wedding day hair and makeup! Not only are they talented, but they are very entertaining and personable!

up looked perfect even the next morning! They were able to copy my trial-day looks flawlessly. The whole team was able able to do 10 girls by the time I needed, and everyone loved their looks. Elle's experience in the business is not to be matched, and her ability to shade and color correct is something that can't be taught. They were able to travel to Portland without an extra fee, and were very efficient with their time. I wish I could look like I did for my wedding every day!

A couple girls wanted things a specific way or changed and the ladies delivered - making sure everyone was happy with the outcome. Both airbrush and regular makeup turned out great and the half updo that Paula did for me was AMAZING (Pinterest worthy). I didn’t love my hair and makeup at my trial and ended up changing my mind the day of the wedding...both Elle and Paula did an amazing job switching it up from the trial. Definitely recommend these ladies!

myself and the rest of the wedding party not only satisfied, but overjoyed with our salon experience and hairstyles for the big day. Elle had a wedding she was traveling to on the day of my wedding, so my girls and I invaded the salon.
Paula, Amber, Valen, and Olivia were incredible! They all listened to what we wanted and were more than accommodating. The women were professional, timely, friendly, fun, and so amazing at their jobs. They created unique and stylish hair dos that everyone was very happy with. If someone wanted to tweak something with their updo the women fixed it swiftly. We listened to music, talked, had fun and the ladies really made the day special. We all loved our hair and I would recommend Sheer Bliss to anyone needing hair services in or around Gray!

From the first moment I spoke with Elle over the phone asking about hair and make up I knew she was the one for me and my bridesmaids! She was very personable, easy to work with and so much fun! When I met with Paula for my hair trail she was so nice and compassionate. She really took the time to listen to me and make my dreams come true! Paula even calmed me down when I had a small melt down on my wedding day!
My bridesmaids, mother and myself couldn't get over how beautiful and awesome we looked! Not only are these two women a level above the Pros, but they showed up with big smiles and jokes at the ready!

a did my hair and took my vision and brought it to life. She was patient, understanding, and a total visionary! All of my bridesmaids brought pictures with them and both hair stylists were able to produce their exact picture.
Elle did a fantastic job with makeup! I had several different skin tones and she was able to accommodate each one. She made sure to ask what style each girl was looking for: natural, smokey, colorful, etc. which I really appreciated.
Overall, the ladies at Sheer Bliss totally enhanced my wedding day. They were just as excited about my wedding as all my bridesmaids and family. They sang to Beyonce, drank mimosas, and shared lunch while we were there. If you're looking for a group of women to completly take care of your needs, for a fair price, this is the salon to choose!!

ough to get to an island but they were there and ready early. As a bride and bridesmaids go, we were running late and they waited, not even worried, not rushing us. Elle is hysterical and will have you laughing the whole time. I loved every style Paula did - I was going with the beach wedding look and she nailed it. I have to admit, I don't like makeup, I am a natural one but Elle explained for pictures my eyes need to pop a bit and she was right. I am not use to eye liner but the pictures were gorgeous. I could barely sit still and Elle worked her magic. They both work wonders, but most importantly are fun people to have for the day. Easy going, quick to help or change a style, go with the flow. I feel fortunate I had them both for my big day!

any, Paula and Elle all came on site to The Regency, Portland, Maine to take care of us. They arrived promptly in the 8am hour ready to work! They planned for plenty of time so we did not feel rushed. They were relaxed, cheerful and funny keeping the wedding day stress to a minimum. These ladies were very professional and I was quite impressed with the result. I have had hair and makeup done at many other weddings as a bridesmaid and time and time again I find myself with a hokey, 1990s glamour shots style-like look. Not the case at all with Sheer Bliss and their fashion forward thinking and skill set. Elle makes false eyelashes feel like you're not even wearing them, Brittany got my poof/ bouffant on point with excellent volume for a gorgeous old Hollywood look. Hair and make-up trials were included in the extremely budget friendly cost so my trial day at their salon in Gray included 3 hours of pampering 2 months in advance. I went into that day with all the trust in the world and they delivered. My ladies were also very pleased. Our staff took care of my mother and 4 bridesmaids and threw in a quick clean up trim for my husband and my mother-in-law last minute so everyone really looked their best. By the afternoon Elle was ironing my table runners and asking what else she could do for me. If that doesn't say it all, not much does. I could not have been happier with this fabulous staff and I have gone back to them time and time again for cuts, colors, and evening event dos. They do not disappoint.
