Dez and her partner were absolutely fantastic to work with! They were so so nice and made my wedding day feel so special. I can’t say enough great things!!!

I used Bliss for my trial, day of hair/makeup and spray tan. Their shop and staff are so so cute! The girls we had the day of were prompt and on schedule. I didn't feel weird giving them feedback. Would totally recommend them! My girls were very happy as well.

I can talk about the salon all day I seriously loved working with them so much. Our wedding was local so they let us take over the entire spa / wedding studio space and it seriously set the tone so high for the rest of the day! Joe absolutely killed my hair in my trial and it was even better day of. He made me feel so beautiful and special and was so fun to work with. I was super nervous and he helped calm me down so much and even brought me a blanket (-,: We used bliss for all our bridesmaids hairdos as well as spray tans and everyone was so sweet to work with!! I cannot recommended them enough and will definitely be going back anytime I’m in the area!

I got married on January 28, 2023. I did a makeup trial that fall and Dez was amazing. She spent time with me and we talked about what I liked and what I didn’t. And then on the day, I went on-site at the salon and we got mani/pedis before going in their cute bridal suite for hair and make up. We hadn’t done a hair trial but Dez created a beautiful style and my make up was perfect. Lasted all day. She was wonderful and made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. Highly recommend!

Please do not go here for your wedding day. I did my hair/makeup trial and was in tears when looking at how my makeup ended up. No concealer (I have a quite a few acne scars), no eyeliner, a silver stripe of highlighter on the top of my forehead, and gloss to my chin when I asked for a matte lip. It really was so far from professional or personalized makeup. I ended up just doing it myself. Very stressful. The hair trial went fine, the stylist I had was so incredibly nice. When it came to day of hair, it ended up being curls when I asked for vintage/Hollywood waves. Absolutely not what I asked for. But it looked fine, so it was what it was at that point. All night I couldn’t figure out why I was unable to brush through my curls and why it was so painful to have my veil in my hair… until I come home after my wedding and find THREE hair setting pins that were left in my hair by the stylist. So unprofessional… I was speechless. Looking at pictures, my hair was nothing like I asked for. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Your special day deserves attention to detail and this is absolutely not the place.

They were fantastic! Everyone in my bridal party looked stunning and they created such a fun environment that morning for us to get ready. They did a great job working with my timeline and had us ready ahead of schedule.

They were phenomenal! Got through 10 people's worth of hair and makeup done in 3 hours and everyone looked stunning! They were a pleasure to work with too, chatting/laughing along with all of us as we got ready. The lead hairstylist told me at the trial that he tries to nail every photo that a bride brings in for inspiration. He even flew an expert in from the west coast to teach his team how to properly create the Hollywood waves, which I ended up going with and they turned out perfectly!!

If you are looking for bridal services I would highly recommend booking Bliss Salon! Dana was wonderful to work with and very quick with responding to any questions or comments I had! Dez was our stylist on my wedding day, she was so great to work with, extremely nice and accommodating! Dez did a phenomenal job on our hair and makeup, she exceeded any expectations we had!

Tiffany did my hair and makeup trial and my wedding hair and makeup. She was so thorough and understanding of what I had envisioned for my wedding hair and makeup. I don’t wear makeup on a day to day basis So this was very stressful for me, but she made it a breeze. She made sure everything ran smoothly and everyone complimented my makeup and hair! I felt so beautiful on our wedding day. She was very efficient and talented with my bridesmaids also. She met the timeline for my wedding and had six girls ready in 5 hours!!

Everyone I spoke to from Bliss were very nice and welcoming from the very start! Joe and Dezz were so great at adapting to any last minute changes, even a miscommunication on my end about where they would be traveling to. They were both understanding about it. For my actual hairdo, Joe not only did a fabulous updo that looked better than my Pinterest board’s pictures, the updo held up. I got so many compliments and even my photographer commented on how well my hair held up. (Then the photographer wanted Joe and Dezz’s names because she was so impressed with their work). Joe was also really fun to work with and kept the conversation going with the bridal party the day of. Dezz is a sweetheart and wanted to make sure everyone was comfortable with the style and amount of makeup. My makeup also stood up to the test of time throughout the whole day and evening. Dezz made everyone in my bridal look equally amazing even with a group that has a variety of skin tones and ages. Honestly, they were so great that I’m sad I don’t live closer so I could go to their salon on the regular. They’re all so professional and make a big effort to train their staff on the latest styles and techniques.

Where do I begin!? Michelle is an amazing!! My hair and make up lasted all night and my girls were impressed with theirs as well. The communication between Dana and I was also an important part of making the day happen without an issue. I would recommend this salon to any bride getting married in Northern Michigan.

Bliss was amazing! I struggled to find an available vendor for my wedding (9 months in advance!) and I am SO glad Bliss was available. I live out of state and didn't do a trial, but everything was beyond what I expected. The staff was friendly and did an amazing job! Tiffany did my hair and it was literally exactly what I wanted. They were super efficient and finished before expected but took the time and care to make sure everyone in my bridal party looked amazing. I highly recommend using them!

The staff that came to our rental house to get ready at was awesome. They knew exactly how to do my hair and makeup despite little guidance from me as I don’t normally wear makeup at all. Would highly recommend!

I could not find a better salon to do our hair and makeup. Joe and Des were absolutely amazing. My wedding party adored them both and they made us feel so beautiful for my wedding day. I would HIGHLY recommend using this salon for your special day.

Wow… what can I even say about this stellar team? I booked with Bliss and had to postpone our wedding a year due to covid, and they have been incredible to work with. I got so many compliments on their services from bridesmaids and wedding guests. They came to our venue to do hair and makeup and were seriously fun to hang out with! Highly recommend!

I use Bliss for all of my beauty needs, and they did not disappoint with my wedding! Erin and Brice did an amazing job on the hair and makeup for me, my 4 bridesmaids and 2 flower girls! Highly recommend!

Kelsey and Megan (I should have done this sooner, I can't remember the hair gal's name) were absolutely incredible. They were fun, professional and so calming. I had a really rough start to my day and they were so patient with me and my wedding ladies. Other than marrying my best friend, they were the one thing that didn't go wrong on my big day. I can't say enough about how amazing they were.

Kelsey was amazing! Very talented. I did not have time to do a trial run on my make-up for my wedding. Kelsey did my make-up the morning of my wedding. It looked very natural and lasted all day. I would definitely recommend her!!! The temporary lashes were an added touch.

Great customer service!

They were super confident, very quick, and were fun to talk to while getting ready. My hair stayed in curls all day, which you don’t know, is quite a feat because my hair is super thick and can’t hold a curl normally. But they did it. I wish I would’ve had more time with the makeup but it definitely got the job done and still looked stunning. I last-minute booked Bliss and luckily they took me! I was impressed and not stressed when booking with them. A lot of communication back and forth between us with pics of what I wanted, it was great.

Amazing service. Dana and her wonderful ladies did such a fantastic job for my bridesmaids, mother of bride, and of course me! Communication was very easy, and they were very flexible and accommodated what I needed. My stylist (Tiffany) was just spectacular. She listened to me describe all my complicated little details for my hair and BAM exactly how I wanted it. Makeup was on point, they even worked with us and used products that we preferred. I had so many compliments about mine and the girls' hair. I would recommend them so many times over. If I lived closer to Gaylord, I would go here regularly. A wonderful salon filled with amazing ladies <3

I cannot say enough great things about Bliss Salon! I am from Traverse City so when I booked my wedding in Charlevoix County, I was nervous about working with a new salon for my bridal look. I felt totally at home during my first visit for my hair and makeup trial and all nerves went away. Michelle did gorgeous airbrush makeup, the updo Sarah did was perfection, and the girls at the front desk made sure you were completely comfortable. Bliss came onsite to do my day-of look and took great care of myself and my bridal party. They even squeezed in an extra service that was a last minute request. Great people, super helpful, want to share their knowledge and make you feel beautiful! Thank you ladies!

I booked Bliss salon and spa to do onsite hair and makeup for myself and my bridesmaids on my wedding day, three stylists came to our venue and they were all phenomenal! Everyone’s hair and makeup was exactly what they had wanted and everyone looked gorgeous! We had a hairdresser as a guest who said he normally looks for mistakes but couldn’t find a single issue with anyone of the girls!

Absolutely loved this spa! They were so nice and very professional! On such a stressful day, they helped keep me relaxed and worry free! 10/10 highly recommended!

I booked Bliss Salon for my wedding at the Black Lake Conference Center in Onaway, MI and they were able to travel to my venue for hair and makeup for my bridal party and moms. Lindsay was my hair stylist and did makeup and she was amazing. My hair and airbrush makeup lasted all night and I felt like a beautiful bride! I did travel to Gaylord from the metro-Detroit area for my hair and makeup trial and it was worth it. I wanted a natural look for makeup and had never had airbrush done before and it feels amazing! I highly recommend Bliss for any wedding services!

I booked Bliss Salon hair and makeup services for my 11/11 wedding. Dana was great to work with leading up to the wedding. Overall Megan and Leah did a great job with everyone on site at Castle Farms. However, my hair was falling out by the ceremony and everyone's eyelashes were peeling by the reception. Slightly disappointed but would still recommend!

Scheduled 3 services, between first service and second I was told there was now going to be an hour wait because the haircut went so fast. Suggested maybe I go have lunch. Decided to give them the benefit of the doubt after the haircut yet at 3pm still sitting waiting for 2nd service. In additon had to fill out a "mandatory 3 pages" of history including medications and surgeries. I thought it was interesting one of the questions was " what are your facial goals". I didn't have an answer at the time but now one of the goals would be to actually get a service I had scheduled! Bliss in Gaylord told me 3 services starting at 2pm nothing about having to go have lunch between services. When I asked to pay for my haircut and leave the scheduler said "well I tried", making the customer feel like they did something wrong. I went to spent money and have some services done, that simple, at least to me.

Dana and her team did a fabulous job with my wedding hair and makeup! I recommend Salon Bliss to all future brides!

Bliss salon was excellent! They saved the day last minute after the hair and makeup company I had booked cancelled 30 days before my wedding. Bliss was wonderful to work with, and everyone's hair and makeup came out beautiful!

Bliss Salon helped make our wedding the absolute best it could be! This salon makes you feel right at home, from offering you drinks and snacks as soon as you walk in the door to just the overall atmosphere. My bridesmaids and myself came in morning of with a slight idea of what we wanted but nothing particular. I looked at Amanda doing our makeup, and Dana who did our hair and said "Do whatever you want" i knew i wanted natural look, and curls in my hair and the outcome was better than i ever could have dreamed in one thousand years. I will be a life long customer and will continue to recommend Dana and her staff for any type of event that someone may have going on where they would need hair/makeup done. I only had a trial for hair and makeup. I was there for about five hours. The girl who I worked with was very nice and excellent conversationalist and I know tried very hard. Unfortunately I left in tears as I felt embarrassed by how my hair and makeup looked. They were unable to offer me a different option so I ended up doing my own hair and makeup. Especially since there is a $250 minimum for traveling to location, and $1/ mile additional fee- that was too pricey of a risk to take.

I didnt even know what I wanted done to my hair and she just read my personality and my hair was amazing. So many people had sent me messaged and complimented how amazing my hair looked. They were a little pricey but they came to the ceremony site and got me and my girls ready so it was definitely worth the extra we paid for the peace of mind.
