he knew that she wanted to have lasting preservations of our big day. The problem was, we didn't know the first thing about hiring a photographer. To make things more complicated, we live and work in Indianapolis and wanted to do an engagement shoot in Indianapolis, but our wedding was going to be in Ohio. We were convinced we would have to hire two separate photographers to shoot the two events. Thankfully, fate intervened and we stumbled into Andy and Becca at a bridal show we decided to attend on a whim. Much to our surprise, they said they traveled at no extra cost up to three hours from Indy. Andy actually grew up in the Cincinnati area and was familiar with our venue. It was a perfect match! Leading up to the wedding, Andy and Becca organized a short but very thorough meeting a few weeks ahead of time to go over the schedule for the day and the various portraits/family photos we wanted done. I cannot overstate how helpful this was. The week leading up to a wedding is super hectic and we had to deal with last-minute calls and emails with all of our other vendors, so knowing that our photographers were good to go was a huge plus. The day of the wedding, Andy and his associate Kim were there well in advance. They put up with us as we dealt with the inevitable flurry of small things going awry leading up to the wedding. When the weather stopped cooperating, Andy wisely cut our outdoor photo session short. My mom had an unexpected infection in her eye the day of the wedding, but Andy was able to assuage her concerns about how she looked and promised he could fix everything with some Photoshop magic. Once the wedding started, Andy and Kim gracefully drifted into the background, yet continued to do awesome work. They were able to get so many incredible candid shots without getting in the way or creating any distractions, which was one of our biggest pet peeves with photographers. Those few hours were the highlight of our lives, and Blissful Kiss was able to capture seemingly every meaningful moment, from beautiful shots of our ceremony to hilarious candid photos of everyone getting down at our reception. A few weeks after the wedding, Andy and Becca invited us (and my mother-in-law) over to their house to show us our wedding photos for the first time. Andy culled through the thousands upon thousands of photos to come up with the best several hundred shots and put them together in a wonderful 15-minute slide show set to music. Becca then guided us through the various options for the art that came with our package, including a nice framed portrait and a 20-page photo album. You could tell how much time both of them had put into the whole afternoon to ensure that it was the perfect experience. Honestly, that's the thing I'll remember most about Blissful Kiss -- how personal the whole experience felt. We weren't treated like just one of many clients. Andy and Becca treated us like we were close friends or family. They listened to every request we had and made sure to deliver on all of their promises. They offered great advice throughout the whole process and we never felt pressured to do anything we didn't want to do. I would highly recommend Blissful Kiss to anyone.
