I had booked my appointments for my bridal party and myself then after a period of no communication I was told that to keep my appointments I would have to pay an additional $30 fee per stylist and that there would be a 20% gratuity added to my total. I had already had my trial appointment and I felt that it was to late and I had invested too much money to bail out at that point so I paid the added fee. The salon did remove the forced gratuity (after many phone calls) which I appreciated. They tried to equate the gratuity to that of a large party at a restaurant but when I was already paying an added fee per stylist I did not think it was fair to add a tip unless it was earned in the work done that day. Since I came to the salon to book months in advance I did not understand why they did not present all of this information up front. Shouldn't you share your policies with your customers? I felt like I was being taken advantage of since we were getting closer and closer to my date. I think they have created a bridal and large party consultant that handles all the booking for groups to avoid the problems that I had. Though the hidden fee was a bummer the part that was the worst was how certain members of their staff handled it. Some people were just down right rude when I questioned what was happening. Daniella was the one who finally truly helped me figure out what was going to happen and was respectful in the process. We did enjoy the services we had that day. All the girls and myself looked great. We had 6 blow outs done and 4 make ups. Ellie, who did my bridal hair and make up was amazing!!!! She was so kind and did such a great job!!!!! We also managed to stay on the timeline which was great. Over all the services were good but the initial set up of the appointments and the treatment during the process was terrible and thus brought my rating way down.
